    I’m recomping, I’m in week 5. I took measurements on 1-1-23 and 1-30-23, I lost 2 inches in chest, waist and legs. I gained 1/2 inch in arms and didn’t lose in waist. My scale really didn’t drop much. Although I’ve dropped inches, I still find myself picking at myself seeing the same out of shape person. I’m going to take new pics tonight and keep moving forward 😊

    Thank you! I needed this one, I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted, but I look a lot smaller, can lift more, have so much energy and most importantly, ALL my menopause symptoms went away- but I felt like a failure because the scale didn't go down dramatically. Again, thanks!

    My god 1lb!!!!! That’s insane! I won’t moan about no scale weight move ever again!!! Hitting everything. Hardly moved on scale since 2 December but everything else has moved down. I have included cardio for 15 mins per workout as I only ever walk to the gym and back plus other walks over the week. My PT says throw your scale out the window. 😂 Pics are due tomorrow.

    I can relate to this as the scale hadn't budged in months...yet I tried on pants size 10 that I thought in my brain would not fit...they did. I was wearing a 12 for so long. Weight lifting has helped my body so much. It's been slow but I am consistent. Thanks for all your advice..it works.

    My rehab coach suggested stregnthening my body with weights after a running injury. Now I am falling in love with kettlebells. I still cant wait to get back to running but I am so happy that I started weights because I feel stronger and more aware of my body.
    The #s on my scale are going down but much slower than when i used to crash diet (keto, soup diet, IF etc)
    I have gone from a 14-12 to a stong 10 where I feel comfortable sitting and eating in those jeans. My tighter dresses are buttoning with more ease so im happy.

    You are amazing, so glad I found you!! Already watched a couple of your vids and subscribed right away! You are the real deal! 2.5 years ago, I lost 24 lbs on a low calorie diet alone and although my clothes looked better and looser, no one at work nor family seemed to notice the weight loss. The strange thing is that the following year when I started to do a workout video for 5-6 days a week for 3 months along with walking, the scale numbers started to go up BUT suddenly my coworkers and family asked me if I had lost weight. I was shocked that no one said anything when I lost the weight initially yet noticed it only when I was incorporating exercise and I guess toning up. Unfortunately, I got discouraged on that scale number not going down despite how lean I was getting and just stopped. I started working out consistently with 10lb weights 4 days a week since December and the scale has gone up 6lbs since doing weights however I look much better than I did 6 lbs ago . I am definitely seeing a difference in my legs, butt looks more lifted, waist line coming in more, less back fat. I take progress photos every end of the month. You are so right about doing that. I am not happy that I am where I never thought I would be back at again, but come summer, I will look back at these old photos and see how far I have come. :)

    Congrats to your client! That confident posture in the second pic - that's what it's all about! She's working hard and seeing the results - awesome! Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge here on TH-cam, Michelle. I'm only 3 weeks in but I feel so much better, so much stronger. I love going up in weight at the gym - even if it's only by 2.5 lbs; it's a powerful feeling. I did take before pictures but did not take measurements so I need to do that. One of the things that really keeps me on track it planning out my meals with calories and macros the day before so that I know exactly what I'm eating. I log them all on a spreadsheet so it's easy to copy and paste when eating the same things each day. As long as I leave room for one energy ball with my coffee I am not tempted to cheat because I know I get that sweet treat. I never realized how little protein I was eating before starting this. Another big change I noticed - I am able to lug around my 2 year old grandson much easier now! Thanks again and thank you to your client who agreed to share these pictures with us! She is an inspiration!

    Super helpful. Thank you for the great tips and encouragement! I’m working on my patience. The scale stooped moving a while ago, so I stopped using it. I took measurements & progress pics instead & I’m definitely getting stronger…so I must be doing something right! I need to keep your voice in my head the next time I get down about my progress. If I’m working towards long term success, I can’t expect overnight results. That’s such an important lesson. I have lots more to learn, but every one of your videos provides a wealth of information and motivation. Thanks again Michelle. You’re the best!

Possibly if I was talking about calorie intake and weight loss, but I think showing a before and after pic of how someones body changed from lifting weights and eating to fuel their body vs. starving themselves age and height is quite irrelevant? Progress is progress period

    I’ve been working out with a trainer 4 days a week since Sept and can see the transformation. At my heaviest, I was 243 lbs, now I’m 162. Muscle mass is up, body fat is down. We do a body scan every week. I’m not satisfied and am thinking about canceling my birthday trip to buy a new treadmill instead.

    • @HtownAdel
      @HtownAdel ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No one is ever at a point of satisfaction when it comes to their body image. That is part of the reason why people that are fit continue and never stop. You have to love yourself and be proud of what you’ve accomplished. You’ve gotten so dang far. Take the time off for your birthday and refresh. You also have to practice self love. Your a freakin rock star for dropping that weight.

    I suffered from an eating disorder for so long and always counted on the scale. I tried different fad diets, and had an obsession over the scale. I have now stopped checking it. It’s been 2 weeks since I started. What I’ve noticed first! When I flex my arms and legs it’s not longer flabby and soft haha 😂 I keep telling my bf to feel my legs and feel my arms. 😂 I’m trying to do things simple so I don’t become overwhelmed. My current weight is 167 I’m 32. Do you think 1700 calories is a good starting point? I’ve been working out 4-5 times a week with mainly compound exercises. 3-4 times a week and 1 core cardio day.

However, I seem to have stalled in my strength progress for the last month and don’t feel as energetic as compared to a few months back. I have anorexia and been reverse dieting for about 2 weeks nut I can't use waist and hip measurements because when you start eating again you get all the weight in fay around your stomach because it goes there first to protect the vital organs. I have been regularly following a strength training program to build muscle a d keep fat to a minimum and I can see mu arms and leg muscles getting larger and also I can lift heavier each week.
