  • David Packouz's life started as a fairly normal one. When he was 23 he began working with his childhood friend Efraim in his new weapons business. They began securing government contracts to supply arms to the US military during the second Iraq War. To increase their revenue and contracts they began sourcing ammunitions from China via Albania which was illegal to do. When the US Government caught on to what they were doing, it resulted in federal indictments, betrayal and prison time. David's story was told in the Hollywood blockbuster movie WAR DOGS. He's here today to tell us exactly how everything went down!

    You just can't learn to listen to the viewers. You get great guests on and then don't let them finish a story. Constantly cutting them off . And almost always about money, your obsession is obvious. Then they forget where the story was at and the part was just about to get good. Take a journalist class or something. Damn

      Example... "HOw DiD tHe FbI fInD oUt?? tHe AfGaNs?!?"

  • @ScubaD420
    @ScubaD420 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

    Hes 100 percent right on the government having to let companies bid on the contracts. Our company built armour SUVs for socom, department of defense, and other branches. Funnest project was a 4 x 4 all wheel drive bulletproof vehicle with a 50 cal. Gun turret mount on the top. No we didnt install the 50 cal lol. This was for the south African government.

    • @ScubaD420
      @ScubaD420 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      And the part where he says the government doesn't pay you until 30 days AFTER you deliver your product. That's 100 percent true as well. Sometimes it takes longer so if your not a big company without money to keep you afloat during the whole government build and 30 plus days after. The benefits to working with government contracts is you can almost name your price. That's how I started at 16 hrs to 26 hrs in 3 years. Just said I found another job right before or right as the new big contract started and put them in a bind me being the only hydraulic technician in the company, and the only one they could find in our area.

      I am the hydraulic technician for a branch of my company manlift mfg. We build boom and scissor lifts for NASA and Boeing amongst others. Our other branch is Ultra Armoury and Defense ( now bought out and called The Armour Group).
      We built the south African Mamba Vehicle along side another local company Osprea Logics Limited Charlotte NC. With government contracts if you are one of a kind, hard to replace worker. For me it was hydraulics, run new lines, reading and understanding the schematic and making the product functional. Your basically irreplaceable and can name your own hourly pay once you have a little time in the company.

      @@DavidPackouz For sure. It’s tempting to see how he would make so much money so quickly by simply screwing people over and going under an alias. The business itself was pretty sketchy as is - “sweepstakes cafes” in Florida, which pretty much just equates to slot machines on computers and stand up machines. It was a very lucrative business but it’s a thing where you open it up, make ur money in 3-4 months than get out and sell the business or shut it down. It’s largely a gray area legally.

      2350 BC Bishop Ussher's traditional biblical date, based on his calculation that the Earth was created in 4004 BC
      2459 BC
      A rival literal interpretation 2900-5700 BC
      A revised date that some say is more likely, but doesn't match the Genesis account as an eyewitness account of a real flood
      Around 5,000 BC
      An estimate based on carbon dating of shells found at an ancient shoreline in the Black Sea, which some experts believe could be evidence of Noah's flood. So several are looking at 7,000 years +. It's also very odd that many many other religions state a very similar flood story. Islam literally has a name that is extremly close to Noah. When you mentioned the Bible are you talking about like that actual Bible? New International Verision? I don't see any actual dates other than refrences to distances in time between events, which is left up to dispute.

    I like his view of religion. My thought is why are some people special (or chosen) and others are not? No just God would pick such a select group. Everyone is special. Everyone is as chosen as any other if there is a God. But with the plethora of religions and only one could be right if one were right, the obvious conclusion is atheism.

    This was really interesting. So you bid on a contract, then source the shit, then show a bank you have the orders, who then lend you the cash to fulfill them, for a percentage, then you deliver, collect, pay the bank, and still have enough left over to make millions? And the government thinks they're getting a good deal? Why doesn't the government just hire the middle man on salary to do this work themselves? Would be so much cheaper, no? Crazy.

      @@DavidPackouz Wow, can't believe it's you lol, cool! So um... can I just ask, how would it make it cheaper in any case? I mean either way wouldn't you be paying someone a percentage to be a middle man? And if that man was a government employee on salary, could you not eliminate that percentage, and therefore ALWAYS get it cheaper? I'm just curious and this is interesting =)

    • @DavidPackouz
      @DavidPackouz 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@mikefufuffalo8487 you can say the same thing about any private enterprise, that it could be done by a government organization without a profit motive. This is necessary for some things, like the military, regulatory agencies, etc. But usually when large segments of the economy are run by state-owned Enterprises they become much less efficient and end up wasting lots of money. The Chinese Railway system is a great example of that
