I wish I could have you on retainer lol. Your videos are so professional and extremely thorough. I love how you explain what to look for and if something comes up during the job, you clearly explain what to do next. This video for example, the spark plug had oil on it, so you explained how the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced, then you made a separate video on how to do it. You show and explain everything in great detail, and you have not only taught me to fix my own vehicle, but you have also saved me thousands of dollars over the last few years!!
Thank you for this helpful video. One IMPORTANT remark. Before you start to unscrew the plugs ALWAYS clean the the area around - vacuum clean or/and pressure air.
Yesterday it was raining hard and I guess some of the spark plugs got wet. I was planning to dry and clean them. If it works I can't explain how grateful I would be for this demonstration :). I have 2009 mazda 6 2.0. I think the engine design is similar. Thanks a lot anyway. (subscribed)
I'm in the process of doing this on 08 mazda 6 w/ 4-2.3. Hoping it was not a terrible ideal to pull all old plugs out at same time. I did start on left cylinder #1, and worked my way to right. Only asking if makes a difference since she did one at a time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍, ty!
+D W Thanks for watching. You can replace the spark plugs in any order you want, as long as you put the coils back in the cylinder you took them out of!
I bought platinum NGK LTR5GP for the same 2007 Mazda 6 2.3L engine, and they are 0.040" out of the box, so do I need to gap them to .052"? I'm wondering whether the different metals (iridium vs platinum) affect the gap.
Mom accidently left the oil fill cap off and drove and now it has a miss fire. The engine bay was cover in oil im thinking the plugs just got oil on them causing the miss fire. Should I just take it apart and clean them?
+Kevin Nep We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
"i guarantee it's not original equipment". i guarantee it is original spark plug. it's the same NKG spark plug, but it's marked as FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company). in those years Mazda cooperated with Ford and Volvo, so FoMoCo spark plugs were placed in Mazda engines as original parts.

I love you videos! Can you guys make a video on how you change the spark plugs on 3.0L engine?
Pulled out my boot and there’s oil on the boot and obviously on the old spark plug. Do I still change them?
Thank you cousin Su.
Well done! Thank You...

Gap is standard for manufacture recommended plug. Need to make sure it's properly gapped else you might get misfires

But did anyone else notice the belt missing?
To replace valve cover gasket
