Nothing made me feel better that first day walking out the store than my wife saying, "damn it, how do you make a cane look good." I was 31 when I went out with my back. I was a nurses aide and the client didn’t want to work with me. And I hurt it twice. I was 34 and got social security disability. My son was 2 years old and I couldn’t lift him anymore.

Legitimately, the best thing Crazy Neighbor can do for his own health is just staying active and trying to keep up with you from time to time

This just made my day! I am thrilled to see these two camping together again. I can't wait to see where Steve takes us. I can never get enough of all things Steve!
Crazy Neighbour is such a champ... getting back into the swing of things as quickly as he can. We could all use a friend like C.N. Steve, I think I speak for almost everyone when I say that we'll watch whatever videos you put out. It's all about spending time with a friend, even if we've never met you, and likely never will. Be well... my friend.
I just checked back in on your channel after stumbling across it a while back. Gave a sub this time, I enjoy your longer camps, more than 2 nights, and I particularly enjoy colder temperature camps. Also, discovering Crazy Neighbor and then learning he passed just after discovering this magnificent man was/is truly heart breaking. The man made your life immeasurably more enjoyable, I have no doubt. I sure wish his family, and you too, Steve, nothing but comfort and may his memory live on in videos but also in our hearts.
Speaking for myself (and seemingly a lot of your other viewers), I find any and all of your videos to be extremely relaxing and comforting. Stealth or otherwise. Your channel feels like somewhere to come to unwind, so I'm happy with whatever you choose to put out.
1. Steve, you are NEVER boring! No matter what you do, it is always interesting and fun to watch! 2. Glad to see crazy Neighbor up on his feet. Be careful and don't do too much too soon!
The shelter may have not worked out but seeing Steve and crazy neighbor back at it just warmed my heart. I appreciate the planning and time you put into your show. Your authenticity comes through. I’ve never even liked camping but enjoy watching you camp. Thank you.
Crazy Neighbor has made a fast recovery so far. Great to see him on the mend. I was in the medical field for 30 years (including emergency room trauma) and broken femurs (much less pelvis) are VERY serious injuries. A fatty embolus (pulmonary embolus) to the lung is a serious complication that happens frequently with broken femurs. So very glad to see Crazy Neighbor doing so well!!! 🙂
Yep. Spent time as a nurse on an ortho ward, also nearly lost a hubby to a shattered pelvis and lung complications. On pediatrics one year we had a series of children in skeletal traction with broken femurs. Lots to watch out for in those cases. Things can go south quickly.
So glad to see Glen doing OK and love that he told the story of the 'motorcycle' accident...and nice of the coyotes to leave them be. Hope he heals up strong and that Steve starts the adventure of a lifetime. 🙏
How good it is seeing the mighty duo together again by a fire, sharing a yarn and a step 2. How creepy were the coyotes and wolves! Was it a full moon? (Maybe they were just telling you how cold it was.) You can teach folks quite a bit about winter survival, Steve. Stay well and be safe -- we can't wait to see what comes next.
Little tip I got from Corporal's Corner, whenever you're using a drop sheet like that to cover your lean to, attach a long thin branch to the bottom. It'll keep the weight down so it doesn't blow open with the breeze, and you can roll it up to keep the wall open when you want. Great video as always Steve, happy seeing you and crazy neighbor happy
Yup. I watched him do that on several videos. I love watching Steve, because that's how I would camp. But I love watching Corporal because I learn so much. ❤
You don't have to ever do anything crazy steve. We literally just wanna see you camping and cooking and enjoying life brother. Maybe just do something crazy on special occasions or something. I get pumped whenever I see you have a new video up
A lovely surprise on this Sunday night. It's always a pleasure to watch you camping, wherever it may be. Also great to see Crayzee Neebs up and about and in fine form. Take care, both of you!
I needed this today. Had a tricky day with my Dad who is struggling since my mum passed. I know Steve you have had similar challenges and you’re doing an amazing job keeping yourself on with things you love. Not to say every day is easy. But to watch the huge empathy you have for crazy neighbour really warmed my heart. Thank you for this and everything else.
God bless you sir for being there for your dad because the same thing happened to me 13 years ago I moved in to take care of my dad when my mom passed till my dad passed away we do the best we can do for our parents cuz they did everything for us God bless you and may God keep a smile on your face
You could make a video doing almost anything Steve and we would still give it a thumbs up. It’s you we like not the plot. Thanks for giving us all the great content.
Sorry i'm two months late Steve and YT folks, but I wanted to write what many have already wrote, and that is how amazing Steve and Crazy Neighbor have come. When Beautiful Wife passed away, im sure many of us who are to far away wished we could of been there with Steve, but thank God Crazy Neighbor was there for us... Now Steve is there for Crazy Neighbor and it gives me tears to see two good men being kind and thoughtful to each in times of need, God Bless Steve & Crazy Neighbor.
I've found a bit of inspiration in how he cooks, like the meals in aluminum pans with meatballs and hashbrowns. I make those sometimes so I have something quick and easy to pop in the oven.
Good to see Crazy Neighbor on the mend! Wishing you boys health and happiness for the upcoming holiday season. Stay warm out on your winter stealth camps, Steve!
Those coyotes made me so nervous! I like the idea of constructing a little cabin out of that insulation. Something with slots that could be used multiple times. Good to see Crazy Neighbor up and about - I wish him continued healing. You hang in there Steve, you’re doing a great job. We’re here for you. 💗🙏
Man, you could do nothing but traditional camping videos every time and I'd still watch. I've said it before, and no offense to anyone else on TH-cam, but you're the most relatable person I've seen on here. You do you.
People often forget there's a strong mental aspect to most things since we're not Robots. Being with the people you love and doing fun things is often very helpful and good for the soul.
I hear coyotes all the time in the woods where I live and not once in my 58 years has any of them ever bothered me or my family. It's good to see you camping Steve..again and it's good to see Crazy Neighbor too and glad he is ok and back in action.
I lived with my ex in a large tent in the woods for almost an entire year once & there was a pack of coyotes that made the rounds every single night.. the yipping & other crazy noises.. right next to the campsite... they never bothered us. Just came by & kept it moving. I’m pretty sure they’re afraid of human activity
This! Despite being pack hunters, coyotes are very skittish and fearful. People don't get attacked by coyotes. They might attack a small child or house pet but not a grown adult. Nothing to fear. If they're out in Alberta, they should be more concerned with bears or cougars. Be wary of a lone coyote. it means the pack has sent it away and is a sign of rabies.
Awesome seeing Crazy Neighbor but sad to know he's suffered an injury, BUT glad he's on the road to recovery. How nice of him to join you camping knowing it has to be uncomfortable, what a friend. Always great seeing you both together. Dinner looked yummy.
Love crazy neighbour, He is amazing big operation and there is camping with you with howling wolves around you. He is greatly missed. Saw him for the first time when you were camping in that very wet mine, then he was gone RIP crazy neighbour Much luck on your adventure Steve
After everything that's happened to Steve I'm glad Crazy Neighbor is there for him even when he's not doing the best. That's a true friend right there.
I'm unfortunately only a recent subscriber but I must say that I've grown to love this channel. I've got it on when I'm cleaning, when I'm relaxing, when I'm eating, just about anything I've got a video on. I wish you the best, Steve, and thank you for some wonderful content as always
Welcome! This is a very friendly channel & a lot of big conversations happen here. Steve somehow gets us all to the heart of things AND we learn all this cool outdoor adventuring stuff! It's definitely a deeper community than you'd expect.
As a fellow recovered femur breaker, I would have chosen the picnic table seat as well. Getting out of the soft chairs during recovery is more pain than the hard seat. Good to see him up and about.
That's a heck of a way to break your femur in a "motorcycle accident." Ouch! Good PSA for us folding knife carriers. It was joyful and restorative to see you build your inventive shelter, cook a tasty meal, talk to us, and enjoy a step two in nature with Crazy Neighbor. Hats off to him--he's a trouper to be out there at that stage of healing, especially when there can be an adjustment when you combine bonus hardware with cold. It was also very relaxing with no need to hide. But whatever you do is great. Happy camping!
I cannot tell you the incredible joy of seeing both Steve and Crazy Neighbour. Was both heartening and heart breaking to see him so fragile. Also lovely to see your poppies for Remembrance Day on Saturday
Oh it makes me so happy to see the two of you camping together again! Crazy Neighbor you are back at it much sooner than you told me! Really happy to see that you are making a fast recovery :)
Those coyotes were scary and close. Soup looked amazing. So nice to see crazy neighbor. That was awesome that he came out. Continued prayers for your recovery crazy neighbor. Thanks for another great camping experience Steve. Such a unique idea with the insulation.

I absolutely love hearing the coyotes when I'm camping or backpacking. It frightens some people but I've never had them bother me. It's a cool comforting sound to me
I just can't hear coyote noises anymore without also hearing: - "Come here stray dog!" - "Let me pet you goddammit!" - "Don't you yarr me! Don't you wrinkle your nose at me!" - "You wanna get us a beer?" - "You little shit." - "Chomp him." - "OHOHOHOO! IN THE FAAACE!"
Rest in peace Crazy Neighbor. broken and recovering and still came out to hang out with your friend. just knowing this is the last video youd ever be in saddens me. My condolences to his family and to you as his friend Steve. Cherish every moment like its your last.
What I enjoy the most about your videos (and what keeps me coming back) is the soothing rituals of the whole experience --the establishment, the setting up camp, the step 2, exploring the camp space , meal prep, meal eating, bedding down, morning time lapse and final pack up. It's the same yet different experience. An enjoyable watch during uncertain times for many people. Thanks Steve, and blessings and healing to Crazy Neighbor.

Well said.. Much love
Blows my mind that Steve continues to come up with new ways to camp! Love this guy!!
Me too!! He’s the best!
Never get tired of seeing it. There's no idea too out there (as long as it's safe)
Steve's face while crazy neighbor was discussing the incident was classic. Great to hear he's ok! Speedy recovery!
"That knife that you just cliped right back?" got me. Crazy neighbor really had back luck. I hope he mends quickly and does all the physiotherapy. A really great guy and it hurts to see them both a bit beat down.
Man, Crazy Neighbor is really tough!
I applaud his tenacity.
Great to see you both, as always.
Crazy Neighbor was out with the intention of camping with his buddy. That is sweet, this is true friendship.
That soup looked delicious, Steve.
Kudos to Crazy Neighbor for coming along and being in your company in spite of his injury. What a friend indeed. 🎖💪
No matter how shitty my day is, Steve and Crazy Neighbor make it better!
I second that
"Camping with Steve" is good for what ails you.
I agree
Totally agree. They’re both so genuine.
For sure, it's like having a little bit of therapy when you watch good videos with good people in it.
It is ashame that there are not more Steve's and crazy neighbors in the world. We need more caring people such as themselves. ❤
Every neighborhood in the world needs its own Steve!
there are plenty. they just can't get paid for living their life
Steve, I just wanted to say, that we all love you. I know things must have been tough with the passing of Beautiful Wife, and now Glen, but we are all rooting for, and thinking of you. Keep on hanging in there. We love you, and care about you. You bring joy to tens of thousands, maybe millions of people, and we love you. Hang tough Steve. Your internet friend, Bill
I recently lost my sister very suddenly. Seeing your videos pop up instills very strong emotions.
Whichever one of us saw your video first would inform the other that you have a new video to watch. We both loved your videos Steve.
Thank you...
Sending healing wishes...this is the most positive comment section ever. Hope you post whenever you need an ear or a boost. There's some really great community happening around here. ❤
@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory yea man!
Very sorry for your loss. I hope Steve's videos continue to bring you some small comfort.
That sucks. Awful.
This just made my day! I am thrilled to see these two camping together again. I can't wait to see where Steve takes us. I can never get enough of all things Steve!
Thanks for watching
@@campingwithsteve glad to watch all your videos super good
Crazy Neighbour is such a champ... getting back into the swing of things as quickly as he can.
Me too. I love watching everything he does. Love crazy neighbor too.
Thank you.
I'm so pleased to see Crazy Neighbor every time in these older videos. Rest in peace. Great and wonderful man.
Surely I’m not the only one who has also cracked open a beer when Steve moves on to step 2. 🍺 Cheers Steve!
So glad to see Glen doing OK and love that he told the story of the 'motorcycle' accident...and nice of the coyotes to leave them be. Hope he heals up strong and that Steve starts the adventure of a lifetime. 🙏
going back and seeing Crazy Neighbor in these videos makes me emotional. what a great and amazing dude.
so rarely do we meet such wonderful people.
So great to see Crazy Neighbour on his feet and back out keeping you company Steve. He's a tough old bird!!
And make it a bit long so the edges and corners can be covered up with dirt or snow.
Yup. I watched him do that on several videos.
I love watching Steve, because that's how I would camp. But I love watching Corporal because I learn so much. ❤
The hype of seeing Crazy Neighbor roll up after hearing he had been injured and hearing he's healing well.
Your videos never suck Steve! Do what feels right for Steve and we'll be here with you! 👍❤️🙂
What an exciting campsite. Crazy neighbour, coyotes and a train!! Good to see you again!!
And were there geese nearly overhead at the end?
@@cee8mee evil 🪿
This was awesome. I seen Cody on dual survival make a similar shelter. Was hoping it would of got hot for you
Those coyotes were loud🎉
You don't have to ever do anything crazy steve. We literally just wanna see you camping and cooking and enjoying life brother. Maybe just do something crazy on special occasions or something. I get pumped whenever I see you have a new video up
Exactly, you don't need to know how to build shelters from garbage. Or guest apperance s
Rest In Peace crazy neighbor! Thanks for being a friend to steve!
A lovely surprise on this Sunday night. It's always a pleasure to watch you camping, wherever it may be. Also great to see Crayzee Neebs up and about and in fine form. Take care, both of you!
Thanks and thanks for watching
I needed this today. Had a tricky day with my Dad who is struggling since my mum passed. I know Steve you have had similar challenges and you’re doing an amazing job keeping yourself on with things you love. Not to say every day is easy. But to watch the huge empathy you have for crazy neighbour really warmed my heart. Thank you for this and everything else.
thanks for being there for your father as tough as it can be.
Sometimes you just have to look from under your rain cloud and see the sunshine up ahead. It gets better but you gotta stay in the fight.
👍🏽✌🏽
God bless you sir for being there for your dad because the same thing happened to me 13 years ago I moved in to take care of my dad when my mom passed till my dad passed away we do the best we can do for our parents cuz they did everything for us God bless you and may God keep a smile on your face
Great to see Glen walking around and camping with Steve 💙💙
Crazy Neighbor coming out to spend time with you is just so wholesome. Full dad energy from both of you, very sweet
Great to see Crazy Neighbor up and walking again! and love to watch on a rainy Sunday night
You could make a video doing almost anything Steve and we would still give it a thumbs up. It’s you we like not the plot. Thanks for giving us all the great content.
Well said!
True. We just love seeing him every week. Glad to know he’s feeling better.
Good to see crazy neighbour, speedy recovery my friend!!
If you want a friend be a friend. These two guys do it.
Its always a good day camping with Steve and Crazy Neighbor
I watch Steve as a reminder of the good in the world. And Crazy Neighbor! What a happy collaboration.
I like how Steve says what can go wrong well just about everything
I love the way Steve cooks. I don’t cook at all but I could see myself cooking the way he does for a great campfire, worry free, hearty meal. Perfect.
crazy neighbour came for the food
One pot cooking. Easy ! 😊
Sunday with Steve
I've found a bit of inspiration in how he cooks, like the meals in aluminum pans with meatballs and hashbrowns. I make those sometimes so I have something quick and easy to pop in the oven.
It could be said that Steve is camping in a solar cooker.
Glad to see Crazy Neighbor up and about. Hope he recovers completely soon.
Good to see Crazy Neighbor on the mend! Wishing you boys health and happiness for the upcoming holiday season. Stay warm out on your winter stealth camps, Steve!
You have one of the kindest souls that’s ever existed. Always so much love and respect for others around you
Those coyotes made me so nervous! I like the idea of constructing a little cabin out of that insulation. Something with slots that could be used multiple times. Good to see Crazy Neighbor up and about - I wish him continued healing. You hang in there Steve, you’re doing a great job. We’re here for you. 💗🙏
crazy crazy coyotes..
Man, you could do nothing but traditional camping videos every time and I'd still watch. I've said it before, and no offense to anyone else on TH-cam, but you're the most relatable person I've seen on here. You do you.
Poor CN…you can tell he’s still in rough shape but it’s so good to see him up and on screen again. Wishing all the best with his continuing recovery.
People often forget there's a strong mental aspect to most things since we're not Robots. Being with the people you love and doing fun things is often very helpful and good for the soul.
R.I.P. Crazy Neighbor he was always a delight one of my favorite vids with yall was the fake billboard
Frightening sound all the same lol
They're harmless
@@amberlayne4206 yup if they try to interact with you chances are they are rabid
Nothing better to watch on a rainy Sunday night. Hope you're keeping well Steve!
Wait, what happened to Steve? Did i miss something?
@@luisenriquex98 He lost his wife suddenly a couple months ago
@@_V1LKA5_ that's heartbreaking, after seeing this video I'm glad he's in good spirit❤️
Camping with Steve; "it's not just for breakfast anymore."
As a fellow recovered femur breaker, I would have chosen the picnic table seat as well. Getting out of the soft chairs during recovery is more pain than the hard seat. Good to see him up and about.
I have replaced both knees and a bad back and I wouldn't even own one of those soft chairs. I need good support - higher than lower - to stand up.
Folding knife carriers?
Happy to see crazy neighbor is recovering!! Thank you for the update Steve!
Its great to see Crazy Neighbor walking and getting around. It looks like everyone's prayers are being answered. 😊
I cannot tell you the incredible joy of seeing both Steve and Crazy Neighbour. Was both heartening and heart breaking to see him so fragile. Also lovely to see your poppies for Remembrance Day on Saturday
😢😢😢 Oh man. I am just going through the old videos and this just reminded me of Glenn. RIP Crazy Neighbor ❤❤❤
Oh it makes me so happy to see the two of you camping together again!
Crazy Neighbor you are back at it much sooner than you told me! Really happy to see that you are making a fast recovery :)
You can tell Steve is a genuine nice person. That’s why I love his channel and his content! Welcome back crazy neighbor!
Those coyotes were scary and close. Soup looked amazing. So nice to see crazy neighbor. That was awesome that he came out. Continued prayers for your recovery crazy neighbor. Thanks for another great camping experience Steve. Such a unique idea with the insulation.
I was surprised not to see many comments about this, i would have been so scared
Coyotes aren’t dangerous at all. They won’t bother humans
@perspective8369 You might want to Google Taylor Mitchell, RIP. Only the high pitched yipping was coyotes. The howls were wolves. Before you tell us wolves aren't dangerous, Google Kenton Joel Carnegie, RIP.
While Steve is giving his love and attention to Crazy Neighbour, I'm rewatching his videos and making sure I've like them all!!! Lots of love and blessings to Steve, Crazy neighbour and his loved ones xxxxx
Its so good to see Crazy Neighbour on his feet. Wish him all the best and a quick recovery.
Steve is one of the few great content developers on TH-cam. No over the top thumbnails or ridiculous click bait titles. Just straight forward and great content.
Keep it up for us, you, and Crazy Neighbor, Steve! Thanks for being awesome!
And no ad revenue
@@holdupits420 I don't mind advertisement revenue from TH-cam. Sponsorship on the other hand, I do. Especially Raid Shadow Legends, Manscape, energy drinks; etc. I feel like those content creators sell out.
Who needs ridiculous clickbait titles when you're just doing ridiculous things in the video? 😂
I absolutely love hearing the coyotes when I'm camping or backpacking. It frightens some people but I've never had them bother me. It's a cool comforting sound to me
The children of the night 🧛♂️
I just can't hear coyote noises anymore without also hearing:
- "Come here stray dog!"
- "Let me pet you goddammit!"
- "Don't you yarr me! Don't you wrinkle your nose at me!"
- "You wanna get us a beer?"
- "You little shit."
- "Chomp him."
- "OHOHOHOO! IN THE FAAACE!"
@@RuSosan Glad Duck is back
I prefer to hear them a bit farther away.
@@RuSosan don't forget murder mittens!
