I will admit that it was hard for me to feel happy about the trees I've painted with Bob Ross. lol Over time, I realized that I actually did paint something better than I normally would have because I had learned from Bob Ross, plus I have the excuse of trying to paint with acrylics instead of the oils he uses. It's very much like your channel, Steve, in that many of us do something similar because we've been inspired by you, but none of us come out with exactly the same thing in the end. The reason most camping gear is in bright colors is that you *can* be found. I think the primary reason is search and rescue, but I imagine it's nice to easily see your own campsite from some distance as well.
Hi Steve, I'm a French guy who is passionate about camping. there is nothing better than making your own little nest in a safe place and grilling your meat, or cooking anything in the evening, by the fire. you give me lots of ideas. Be well and take care of yourself in these times.

Steve, there's nothing I love more than seeing an upload from you. Your seemingly simple adventures are always uplifting and fun, and your insistence on picking up trash everywhere you go has lead to me purchasing mesh bags to bring with me fishing and ATV riding, and I now stop to pick up every piece I can. Thanks for being such a great human.

Steve! Another superb video. Just what I needed to put me in my happy place. At around 8:20 in the video, when you noticed the “really creepy guy” sitting parked in his car and you quipped, “but who am I to talk, I’m sitting in the bush with a camera,” gave me the best laugh I’ve had all week. Thank you! You’re the best.
I just had to comment a second time. I love stealth camping and Steve has helped me with my stress and anxiety and depression. Wilderness has a way in healing peoples minds and watching Steve helps me relax. Anything to do with the great outdoors relaxes me. It a great therapy. Thank you Steve
That sucks..hate being restless lol..if in laying there wide awake,it'd dark amd queit, just no sounds, I can't sleep!!need to hear or watch something to drift off to!!😑😁✌️🍻
Do you ever try ASMR videos? If you search for them on TH-cam, they have them with all kinds of different content for pretty much any interests you may have...they are so soothing (and entertaining) & they really help me drift off to sleep.
Some of y’all won’t believe me but ever since I was younger I would imagine myself being homeless and would think of good spots where I would setup or sleep. Where I would sleep when the weather was cold or rainy. And then I come across Steve and his camping videos. I’m always so Intrigued as I live out my childhood thoughts or what if’s through Steve 😂. Thank you Steve.
I’m 60. I did that all the time as a child. I think that would be a great place to sleep. Somewhere I could live if I “ran away”. I had no plans to run away. No reason to run away. But I was always on the lookout for shelter. 😂 Weird places. But always had cover and protection. I grew out of it but these videos reminded me of that.
you may think some of your videos are boring but for those of us who aren't able to get out and about as much as we'd like, your videos are very enjoyable. Thank you.
A tip... Spray the bug spray on a sheet wipe and wipe any part of your body you can reach especially on your face. You can keep the spray out of your eyes a lot easier. A lot of the spray which you just spray on yourself just goes in the air. You can reuse the sheet wipes until they either get dirty or fall apart.
Steve, I've said it before but I'll say it again - your loyal subscribers don't mind a jot if your upload schedule goes awry from time to time. We're always just glad to get that new video notification, and to see you're doing okay. Even though I obviously don't know you personally, watching your content makes me feel like I'm getting updates from an old buddy and that's comforting. You keep posting 'em, and we'll keep watching 'em. 🙂
Steve Wallis, coming to a theater, motel, forest, roundabout, sign, or woods near you!!! You will never know where Steve will camp next! He could be right next to you without you even knowing! Haha, great to see you keeping your positivity up high even through the very tough times you’ve been in. Cheers Steve, to another adventure.
We need to make a bunch of life-sized standees of Steve crouching by a camp stove and put them all over the country behind signs, under bushes, in the woods, between dumpsters, etc. That way if someone actually sees him they'll think it's just another cardboard cutout.
Only Steve understands his hierarchy of camping spots.😅 Im glad this was a good one for him. I love his sense of propriety when it comes to spelling "drive -thru." Otherwise there's very little propriety in his adventures.
Steve is to camping what mr rogers/steve irwin/bob ross were to their respective fields. The levels of wholesomeness in Steve's videos are unmatched, just a pure kind person.
Ohh now I need to see a musical episode of camping with Steve where he stealth camps while talking to us like we are kids and makes comments like "now wasn't that accident with the butane stove just a happy food time" Hello campers how is everyone today 😊 ("everyone, got yur step two's OK let's get started shall we now the thing about stealth camping is ...) I can see it now hehe won't it be fun
McD is trash, even homeless people should try not to eat form there, unless of course circumstances force them to). Rather have soup kitchen meals than McD trash, if I were homeless.
I stopped watching camping videos because my interests tend to change quite a lot but a youtube video I watched mentioned you and then I thought I'd come back and start watching again. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Wife and Mom. I'm glad to see you're still finding your sneaky spots and uploading for us viewers to enjoy! Your videos are entertaining and very relaxing! We really appreciate your sacrifices and long hard hours of work. You and all the rail workers help make the world we know work 👍🏽👍🏽
I am with you. I am so sorry they dont treat you right. Please hang in there & thank you for the hard work you do for your customers.

Steve is honestly the king of stealth camping at this point, I could watch this man talk about his life while painting a wall and be fully invested.
Welcome to painting with Steve! - WHEN?
Steve is the Bob Ross of stealth camping
Who wouldn’t like camping around all those “happy little trees”?
Such a good comment! Absolutely agree!
This! This right here is the truest statement known to mankind.
So true! lmao
Much love!@@campingwithsteve
Steves bucketlist: stealth camping between frontlines, under the hollywood letters, nevada testsite, where else? Maybe in your garden while you watch his new video.
I love how he was talking about some creepy guy sitting in his car while he was sitting in the woods with a camera watching a McDonald’s drive thru. 😂. I love Steve’s videos!
My favorite is him opening the beer quietly… 30 yards from the nearest car 😂
I came to the comments section after he said that.. lmao
Classic Wallis
I wonder if the car guy is a TH-camr and he’s talking about a creepy guy hiding in some trees lmao😂
Steve's truly the pioneer of Creep Camping.
Every time you show a drive-thru, I can't get over how friendly people sound in Canada.
I'm always amazed at your bravery.
Hey Steve I rarely ever comment on TH-cam videos, however I just wanted to share that your videos mean a lot to me and countless others as I’m sure you have read in the comment section before. I’ve been going through some tough times myself and to be honest…life is just not where I want it to be for myself yet. However, seeing how you persevere through your dark times and managing to continue making these videos with a smile, really inspires me and let’s me know that things will be alright. You’re an absolute beauty bud and wish you nothing but the best, from one Canuck to another 🇨🇦 stay safe, much love, and keep the videos going!
Your English is perfect 🎉🇫🇷
This made my heart happy! My 8 yo nephew was in in accident and has been at Children’s Mercy Hospital for a week and I’ve been caring for his 11 yo brother and 3 yo sister and I’m emotionally exhausted. This made the things so much better! Thank you!
God blesses the ones who take care of little children. You might be exhausted now, but when they get older, they will remember it.

I love Steve watching the guy who's hanging out in his car for too long, thinking to himself "what kind of weirdo spends his entire night outside of a McDonald's?"
😅😂😅
Probably using the free wifi for... stuff that you don't wanna do at home its pretty common, just know that their network is monitored and all activity is logged, so if you plan on doing the same, just use a VPN (after logging into the wifi)
This moment stood out to me the most 😂. LOVE it!!!
I thought that too lol. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Your videos are not nonsense Steve, it's very relaxing especially watching after a tiring day from work. Be happy Steve 😊
Been feeling unwell for the past couple of weeks...battling late stage lymphoma/cancer. I just noticed the new video from Steve. Yay! Always helps take my mind off my poor health and let's me live vicariously through your videos. Thank you, Steve, for taking the time to film, edit and share with us all. I can't begin to tell you how many times watching a video by you has helped get my mind off the negative side of things. I'm always grateful to see a new video pop up. I wish I could meet you in person a d go camping in the snow. Florida girl here...we never get snow. I absolutely love the snow. It eases the pain all over my body and makes me feel refreshed. I wonder if they have the make a wish foundation for adults. My wish would be to meet Steve and go camping in the snow with him. Love you Steve! Keep on doing what you do. ❤
Prayers to you for comfort and peace. If you believe in Christ there's a home for you in heaven. Steve can you make this happen? I'd donate $$$ to pay for her to fly up to Canada. How's that for "Make an adult Wish"?
Best wishes to you my friend. Take care of yourself!
I’m sorry that you’re going through this. I wish you nothing, but the best. You must stay strong!
I pray some miracle happens for you. Also, look up Wim Hof; his technique could help, especially if you like the cold.
Thank you for reminding me how lucky I am.
Peace and love... ❤
I beleive in leaving the camp site better than you found it.
Be part of the solution, not the problem.
I feel like Steve finding a good stealth camping spot is the equivalent of an angler finding a good fishing spot. What a great feeling.
steve takes "you never know who's watching" to a new level.
I very much appreciate you, Steve. Your videos have helped me so much. I am homeless but have been following my dreams of hiking all over the USA. Your stealth camps have taught me a lot of very useful skills. This year I've hiked the appalachian trail to Pennsylvania. Currently working at a bar and living life to the fullest. Bless you Steve keep taking on life. you're amazing.
Congratulations, man. Also in Pa. Which bar?

Steve, my wife recently passed away (July) and I’ve been following you for ages. Your videos and your experience to get back on your feet are truly inspirational. I’ve often watched your videos in tears and I only wish I had half the bravery to get out and do what you do. Sending love and please don’t stop the content it’s made such a difference to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart here in the UK X
i hope you feel better man, have a good night
Nothing better than getting back from a night's stealth camping to a new video of Steve stealth camping. Cheers man!
imagine working at Mcd's and seeing some dude sneaking around in the trees all night recording you
Sounds like a dream come true
We don't care if you think that you are late. You are right on time, Steve, it's YOUR SHOW! You are much loved!
I don't even know the schedule and I've been watching for years 😅
They come when they come.
I love how no one notices a man just causally walking into the trees after being dropped off. Steve is a legend!
Haha, anytime 😉
Epic
💯 agreed😂😂😂
Steve is the sweetest bastard on TH-cam, and the content is so damn wholesome. What a gem
Once again I commend you on all your efforts thru adversity. Thank you for everything you do Steve. We all love and appreciate you!!
I just had to comment a second time. I love stealth camping and Steve has helped me with my stress and anxiety and depression. Wilderness has a way in healing peoples minds and watching Steve helps me relax. Anything to do with the great outdoors relaxes me. It a great therapy. Thank you Steve
🌄 Nature is usually calm, and a great place to get away from everything crazy, even if just for a few hours.
It's our natural state of being to coexist with the wilderness, so it awakens our instincts to see things like this.
I’m struggling to get to sleep but your videos help me let go of the anxiety issues that frequently keep me awake. Thanks Steve ❤️
Thank you Steve.
did you grow up middle class then downgraded to poverty?
Seeing Steve smile warms the heart. But the downside is now we all know the bushes behind the drive-thru May conceal a stealth man 👀
Watching your videos is like hanging out with an old friend. Thanks for bein' there, Steve~
you may think some of your videos are boring but for those of us who aren't able to get out and about as much as we'd like, your videos are very enjoyable. Thank you.
Steve, you’re a national treasure to all North American campers. Pure joy on this one. ❤
I second this
So does this make him an International Treasure?!?! 😁😁😁
Yessir! He got me through a lot in very early 2020 pre-pwndemic.
Ohh now I need to see a musical episode of camping with Steve where he stealth camps while talking to us like we are kids and makes comments like "now wasn't that accident with the butane stove just a happy food time"
Hello campers how is everyone today 😊 ("everyone, got yur step two's OK let's get started shall we now the thing about stealth camping is ...) I can see it now hehe won't it be fun
Motel 6, is looking much better than McDonald's camping....😮
You did not just compare this guy to Steve Irwin 🫠😂
@@tobybutt3435 Do you disagree? From a kindness of the heart perspective, Steve is just as kind as Steve.
I love how you’re so considerate to even blur out the license plates, you’re a good man Steve ❤
Props to Steve for still cooking a meal, even though he's camped right next to McDonald's.
Inspirational 😊just for fun even if it's necessary
McD is trash, even homeless people should try not to eat form there, unless of course circumstances force them to). Rather have soup kitchen meals than McD trash, if I were homeless.
IT wouldn't be stealthy if he bought food and went right ahead to a nearby bush. plus he doesn't have a car
steve cooks food not "food"
McDonald's sells meals?
I stopped watching camping videos because my interests tend to change quite a lot but a youtube video I watched mentioned you and then I thought I'd come back and start watching again. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Wife and Mom. I'm glad to see you're still finding your sneaky spots and uploading for us viewers to enjoy! Your videos are entertaining and very relaxing! Hey Steve, I want you to know that your videos helped get me back into minimalist camping. Not stealth so much but just keeping it simple. Thanks man!
Always be camping! 👍

Been a bit worried as well. Praying he's ok.
I was at a McDonald’s drive-thru the other day & saw a bunch of bushes + trees behind the lot. A stealth camp idea popped up into my mind, and I thought to myself, “imagine Steve camping behind a McDonald’s drive-thru?” Well.. what do you know?! Haha, love it Steve. Very sneaky!

The fact you casually just made a trendy internet recipie in the process of doing this was amazing
At this point, whenever I see a nice stealth camping spot, I assume Steve is already in it.
We all do. Steve is always only a patch of woods away.
Back in the 80s my elementary school was next door to a McDonalds, with woods behind both. We'd play in those woods behind both all the time. Thanks for bringing back some memories Steve!
Love the smile on Steve’s face when he finds a great stealth spot
Thanks for letting us vicariously stealth camp “thru” you. 😊
Steve's in his happy place when he finds a good camping spot.
I know this is probably random but everytime i see Steve picking up trash at the places he camps at i have made it also a habbit of mine to do the same everywhere I go. What a wholesome gentleman Steve is.
Same. Every time I see trash in our park I think of Steve.
Which in this context is a positive thing.
That's not random. It's a connection.
