Powerscaling aside, they need to take action for themselves. All Franky and Robin have done post timeskip is taking orders without changing any significant plotlines. They peaked at Dressrossa and that was 10 years ago. Robin protecting Rebecca and Franky vs Sr. Pink were great but since then they've been starving for serious screentime. Wano as big as it is didn't do anything for them.
I just worry he’ll break them up further. Nothing worse than he has them into 5 groups of two to three with some side characters. Then we can get a panel of each group per chapter instead of any full scenes
Wano says otherwise dude. He legit fought Kaido as soon as he saw him and got whooped. Also this isn’t the case for every arc anyways post or pre timeskip.
Luffy: can i defeat the main villian now Zoro: No your too strong, run around and play for a a couple years Robin: you know we like alot of foreplay for the arcs, we can bust right away Sanji: NANI??????
Morj you're killing it recently. Managing to put out a ton of consistent content without jumping to insane theories and keeping a level head about things. Great watching your stuff man.
It's still unknown if Chopper is with the East Blue crew. For all we know he just wasn't show with the other group or Oda put him someplace else to have a mini adventure of his own. I personally want him to focus on just the East Blue crew for now and have them converge with Chopper and the rest after a good while.
And honestly I'm really looking forward to the Robin group. Jimbei and Robin, Franky and Robin, Franky and Brook, Robin and Brook are all great duos within the crew. And Jimbei will likely match well with both Frank and Brook since all 3 of them stood up to Big mom without fear. They are also the four oldest members of the crew so they can be more mature and serious. There are probably other upsides that I can't think of right but but my point is that this group has so much potential but have suffered from not getting enough screentime and being outshone by the other strawhats. So I can't wait to see what they do.
Damn you... making BS headcanons that Luffy's SH A and Robin's SH B is like how MHA fandom made Dekusquad and Bakusquad, screw Robin, only Vivi is worthy Nami's soulmate, Robin should beg and give head to Luffy that he wouldn't sell her to Marines for many meats
I think newer crew will meet Vivi so they get to know her and bond with her, and finally meet with old crew so everybody could cherish vivi together. Otherwise there is no friendship, no emotional stake for newer crew to actually feel something for Vivi. In conclusion, newer crew with Vivi will meet together with older crew.
All of the Post-Alabasta Straw Hats remind me of those optional team members you unlock in a JRPG who barely appear in the Main Story and consequently always end up on the bench while the Main Squad gets all the spotlight.
Well it makes sense cause Post Alabasta Strawhats are all older people than the first 6. There's already less room for growth. Robin was the main exception as we saw in Enis Lobby, plus she had a significant moment in Wano as well. Franky is the one Strawhat that's presently living his dream so there's no need for further development, and Jinbei had his character arc in Fishman island through the Fisher Tiger backstory and Nami not blaming him for Arlong.
@@artemisrayne Why would that be considered an awakening? Strong attack = awakening? For me it's something that trascends a devil fruit and elevates it to a whole different perception level, like being able to sprout limbs from other people, or transforming the scenery into a field of limbs It would be incredible if she sprouted more arms for Zoro so he could wield even more swords in a really strong attack, or sprout a lot of Luffy stretchy arms against the enemy She would be an incredible support for the team
I think the reason why the later half of the crew don't get as much story development is because they are already fully developed characters. Robin 's climax to her character development was "I want to live" Jinbe joined as a fully developed character. Same with Brook. And Frankie was never presented as a character that needed a lot of character development to begin with. Aside from him getting upgrades to his tech and his body character wise, he doesn't really need much development. That's why every conflict he's in he approaches it the same way and he comes out of it with the same attitude. The difference between the East Blue 5 plus chopper and the rest of the crew is that we are following their entire journey from beginning to end as opposed to just being the bookend of the other characters very long journeys.
The biggest problem are the side characters. Strawhats cannot get spotlight if a cast triple the size of the crew is running around in the arc. Oda needs to bring those down to about the same size, 10 non strawhats at most including the villains
I agree because the straw hats are supposed to be in the main character and the story loses quite a bit by having a solid half of the crew just kind of existing robin and Usop in particular have been totally screwed over in the New World half of the story with them having pre established goals and plot points that are set up for them one wanting to be a brave warrior of the sea by the time he reaches the island of Giants and because the story decided to just throw him away after he dealt with the girl who turned people into toys well she failed his objective he is not a brave warrior of the sea because he was never allowed to have an inch of character growth after dressRosa and Robin has done barely anything despite the fact that she's Supposed to be story wise one of the most important characters in the story
I love jimbei the most among SHs. Outside Luffy ofc. He saved luffy mentally and physically when he was in literal hell. None of the SHs couldve brought luffy back from that mental he was in after Maruneford. I hipe he lives until the end of the story. He can bring SHs back from any hell.
I'm fully expecting Robin's team to run into Saul first where their team is able to uncover the darker secrets of the world, and maybe face against an unknown threat. Maybe Jinbei can also find Kid and killer in the ocean lol. While Usopp's side sets up the usual arc style of adventure - meeting side characters, and setting up his plot for his long awaited rise to his version of brave warrior of the sea status.
I always thought Robin was well liked even though she came in Post Alabasta, she just have that vibe to her that's the missing piece in any anime group, the smart, tough character that you just wouldn't push around but still has the personality that you'll miss her when she's not there.
8:14 4. The strawhats aren't interested in answers or plot points, Oda doesnt wants them to question and find the answers too fast because he wants to silhouette that and that man for that weapon, so he makes them not even care about what's going on.
Notice how the crew that left from dress rosa early was the crew that shined in whole cake island oda gave franky usopp zoro and robin fights and moments in dressrosa and chopper nami brook and sanji fights/moments in wholecake and jinbe also
honestly them getting split up again kind of pisses me off Because that's what the story has been doing for almost the entirety of the new world And considering a major thing is about The unity of the crew and how they're like family and all that the story completely fails to live up to that with it only using the same 4 or 5 characters which is led to character interactions getting very stale at this point sanji and Zorro interacting is become extremely repetitive and boring nami is used just as a sex object and is barely a person at this point and usop had one great moment against the girl that turned people into toys and then for the rest of the story he's done basically nothing he used to be a very critical part of the story and now makes me think on how if he hadn't rejoined the crew after fighting with the captain that not much would have changed and not must would be lost in the story there's supposed to be a crew and the story has just kind of given up on even trying
I don’t know, Sanji seems to get A LOT of focus outside of Luffy. Zou, sets up whole cake, wano he got more character develop than Zoro. And egghead when most Strawhats were ignored outside of Luffy, Sanji got any bit of personal moment with the side characters. No issue, just curious why Oda shifted his focus around him so much.
@davethawng1585 and thats just illiteracy since sanji is clearly odas favourite lmao... just check out his signature or the fact he himself smokes and has an older sister
It always feels like Robin, Franky, and Brook are just sprinkled in with the original six to change up dynamics. But even then, the story just goes back to focus on the main 6 anyway with the later crew members being sidelined or given less important fights.
I agree that water 7 was peak in terms of strawhat focused character writing. The whole crew was embroiled in a drama over Usopps defection, and Robin finally got her arc to shine the way every other member did upon joining. Simultaneously, franky got his shining debut arc, coinciding with both the crew drama and heavy Robin focus. It’s only downhill from there general crew character writing wise. Thriller bark was good as it was brooks shining debut arc and showed the full 9 strawhats operating as a cohesive and effective unit. But it was quite a step down from Ernie’s lobby and water 7 from a crew dynamic character writing standpoint. It was showing what the crew was capable of fresh off their trial by fire and character development, rather than being the actual trial by fire and character development. And after that, they end an arc being defeated and separated, and the next 3 arcs only include luffy.
I sorta disagree. This is a biblically long story, the Straw Hats can't be the focus of the story the whole time. Especially since the side characters are becoming increasingly more relevant to story with how determined & close they are to reaching the poneglyphs. The story isn't really about the Straw Hats anymore, it's about every participating party honing in on obtaining the OP.
It’s called ONE PIECE so it’s expected so the straw hats now getting more spotlight separated is a good call of Oda and that war arc we are supposed to get in guessing it’s going to be everyone who’s ever talked about getting the one piece will be there which is why it’s going to be bigger then marine ford
Potential story developments for the new straw hat group: Robin: Reunion with Saul and maybe descovering secrets about Ohara she didn't even know. Franky: History of adam wood and maybe upgrading the Sunny Jinbe: Maybe discovering history about the Eve tree and origins of Fishman oppression Bonney: More time with Kooma and lore on Nika (Because luffy wouldn't even care to know) Brook:......I dunno a new song or something
I think the newer strawhats will be given the main focus with us getting smaller side panels of the main group getting into whatever shenanigans they do. They will progress but mostly off screen except the main stuff like nika info, nami getting stronger, ussop will get the most like luffy does. And the second group will get stronger but also have character growth and development
Good video. I guess separating the 1st 6 SH from the 4 latest members, could be a decent opportunity for each character to shine as possible. While the 1st 6 will be how Usopp's character arc will play out, then the remaining 4 could get the chance to run in with Saul, and learn about what the books of Ohara had to offer. As for Vivi, perhaps, she can 1st meet the remaining 4, which may lead to what became of her ancestor - Lily after the Void Century.
I really hope Vivi meets the newer Strawhats first. And that Robin gets some significant "screentime" with Saul. And Franky with Lilith. Tbh, I'm happy with more sidecharacter-centric storytelling because they're generally more interesting than the East Blue 5 (apart from Luffy), and more relevant to the story. It's just sad because the newer Strawhats should be more important and relevant to the story than those 4 and they rarely are. I would have loved to see more of Law and Robin investigating together in Wano. She should be an intellectual nemesis of Blackbeard.
Sorry to say this but from my POV, Oda really did plan the East Blue Strawhats are the center of this story, because they are the only one that make a vow to each other before entering the grand line, the grand line strawhats are there just to help them reach their dream, for example without chopper they wouldn’t survive, without franky they won’t have strong ship to sail, without robin luffy can’t be pirate king, well for brook luffy want a musician, jimbei becuz he did make a promise to Ace to protect luffy and help him to reach his goal
@@100carlosferminI know. Oda does this with every arc. Where whichever character he thinks needs more attention or a certain TYPE of attention gets such in the next arc.
Plus its hard af for a weekly or any mangaka to be handling 10 main characters at the same time plus the villains too. It takes way more time and panel space. Heck Oda's actually a mangaka that does include a lot of characters in panels. My personal headcanon on why Yamato joining despite having multiple instances where she says she's gonna join was cause for the same reason of having to deal with so many characters , so Oda dropped on it mid way. Which makes sense cause Jimbei just joined and since both Jimbei and Yamato are characters that would get their own fights in arcs the villain characters and fights that need to wrote will increase too.
@@rand12389 facts. Also, my personal headcanon for Yamato not joining is because she would have to be nerfed a good bit in order to not make Zoro, Jinbei and Sanji look weak by comparison.
@@kjk607 I agree, if Yamato does in end up joining later( which I hope is the case) Zoro and Sanji would have cleared her in power by whatever that point in the story is. That way the monster Trio stays intact.
I think the tree will have 9 realms like the Norse stories and each realm will be a part of the gaints islands and war land or Elbaf is the country or whatever. While there are different types of gaints. Loki is the prince of them all that’s why big mom wanted that marriage so she had the backing of the entire country. Shanks has the backing of one of the islands. Luffy and shanks will meet during the part of the arc called ragnorok as a rep of different islands of giants from elbafs country. That’s how they will be on opposing sides. Luffy will unite all the giants as Nika. While ussop will get Loki to do good and be a brave giant bc Loki will be like ussop but a giant child who doesn’t want to fight but uses trickery and his devil fruit of legos forever being a giant baby to other warrior giants.
It really shows the limits of storytelling when a group of 10 characters is considered too much. And there is no real solution here because we already have the smallest crew in the entire series.
After watching dusk and dawn's videos nothing makes sense anymore. The way she looks at one piece theories is completely different from all other creators.
Has morj talked about the theory that Loki is posing as Luffy since Luffy didn't want to eat more in this chapter, isn't wearing his strawhat, and said "gear 4" while using a gear 3rd move?
Watch the other group (Franky, Brook, Robin, Jinbe) still get nothing. They will just be off-screened till they reunite with the East-Blue 5 and things will just go back to what they were...
Also interesting is how it's worked to be the weakest three with the strongest three. It could present an opportunity or need for the weaker trio to step up and grow in combat.
I agree that there’s little to none character development regarding the SH, but I think this is just because Egghead was the prologue to the last saga. It focused on worldbuilding and establishing where they are as a Yonko crew, showing the results of their development, kind of like the Return to Sabaody arc but with way higher stakes. Also I’ve aldo noticed that Oda mixed the worldbuilding and the current events around the world in between the main action, while he usually puts them in between arcs, which might have cut some of the SH screentime. Anyway, I’m sure the final character development and protagonism will come. They are, after all, the main characrers of this story. Edit: grammar
Just cause the split could allow for the newer straw hats to get a nice story, doesn't mean they will. It'll just be east blue 5, then some side characters, then maybe some minor problem the newer straw hats have to deal with at some point. Like always.
I'm hoping Elbaf will be a more isolated arc because it really felt like Egghead was 50% side characters and outside world events. But if Egghead is more like Wano with less side characters it gives Oda more screentime to focus on the strawhats and they adventures.
When you said the straw hat crew met their cap of character writing at 8 characters I strongly agree, and thats kind of just because I think brook and Jimbei aren't the best characters. With Brook, he literally just feels like a gag. His entire personality is just making dead jokes and asking to see people's panties. With Jimbei, he just feels too normal to be a straw hat. Robin used to be the only normal character, and i think it really worked that way, since when she joined the crew she was an outlier in MULTIPLE ways, and enies lobby was there to establish that she truly was a member.
I think odas biggest issue is creating side creators that get so much screen time. For example each arc has that main 2-3 people needed for the arcs story. Like vivi her duck and ace. Each was important or whatever. And each arc has that so when we get even more side characters that get screen time. Instead of interacting with the second group of starwhats giving them moments while making these new creators loved but forgettable. That’s odas biggest issue. He makes every character have this story that we end up having too many characters you can’t forget
yea makes sense didnt think of that. the one part consists only of members that know vivi vs the others that dont. The Chance is really hight that vivi will indeed meet part of the straw hats. For me it would be more interesting if shes joing robins side. Because well she does know her from Alabasta but also knows that she is on luffys crew. To tell a story where they learn to know her and after that finally getting to see luffy nami and co again is perfect. On the other side yes this will be the usopp arc. Im expecting him to meet his dad, competing with him for a shot to prove his skill to him and beat him on this shot. Also I expect luffy to meet shanks this arc. but since usopp should get the spotlight. I mean its the island that comes to your mind if you ever think of his character he probably unlocks more haki and beats a big thread in Elbaf to prove his worth to the giants and to get acknowleged by the giants in the end of the arc. I think that this is very fittung for the character arc for usopp.
Honestly I don't even get why the straw hats even have so many members considering only 4 or 5 really get used Bleach and Naruto had the exact same problem Where they introduced way too many characters which leads to 90% of the cast just getting tossed aside and a small percentage of them getting way overused
What would that do for zoro? He's already set on his ambition for life, he accepted his fate when he awakened his coc, and took on a more challenging sword to master. Him knowing his lineage wouldn't change any of that. Not to mention anyone who could confirm it in story is long gone. So what if he's related to ryuma? He already respects him and intends to surpass/equal him
@@JoiBoi_D_Fish Think of plenty of ways he would find out about his lineage and As for what his lineage would add well there's a lot it could add depending on who that lineage is if he has an ancestor that was once the strongest swordsman in the world that gives him more of a narrative to himself become the greatest swordsman as he would then be surpassing or becoming equal to his ancestor or even better what if one of his ancestors failed to become the strongest swordsman after dueling the strongest swordsman his ancestor died this would be perfect and would add both an element of danger in his pursuit of that title as well adding more narrative in him wanting to attain the title his ancestor could not Perhaps his family name is a very tarnished one perhaps one of his ancestors was a traitor which would give more narrative to his fight against the Beast Pirates where he would help liberate the country his family once betrayed
Honestly that story arc wasted so much of its time it was the longest arc and it really didn't need to be it drag its feet and plotted along particularly in the first half of the arc before the actual raid and what baffles me is the story constantly had characters engage in brief skirmishes where it appears that two characters are about to fight only for one or both of those characters to just not fight and they separate and this kept tapping over and over again only for when the story got to the actual fights the story had wasted so much of its time that the actual fight stopped rushed when if only they had actually moved the story along instead of wasting time on the non fights we could have had some actual satisfying fights because only three of the fights we got in one or were actually satisfying those being luffy Zorro And Kid With law the Sanji fight sucked so hard Because it was just him running away being a pansy the entire fight and being a little brat about his invisibility suit and the thing with Sanji is that his character hasn't done anything for so long he was in a whole cake but he didn't get a major fight there only making a cake and he didn't do anything for dress Rosa or zoe so considering he's one of what's supposed to be the Big Three I guess now the big 4 his character hasn't had a big brawl in a long time
@@yami122nah to be honest it’s better zoro didn’t find out. I think it fits his character to not care anyways so revealing it to him in the story is pointless😊
@@yami122 zoro was doing that anyway kuina's death did that already that could be interesting as zoro is a very prideful person. however one of the key themes of wano was about how lineage doesn't define who you are. tama, momo, yamato. these characters made their own choices given their circumstances. they didn't care about their names for the most part. they just wanted to make wano a better place, same as everyone. zoro's growth in wano was more about becoming a conqueror. king was stronger than zoro yet didn't have coc. why? because he lacked ambition. king hid himself from the world and chose to dedicate himself completely to kaido. zoro on the other hand has dedicated his life to his ambition. not just for himself but for his promise to his friend and captain. zoro comes to understand he needs to accept his role as a king in order to achieve his dream. zoro has no desire to rule over anyone but he awakens coc because he wants to be strong enough to fulfil his dream and promise. when he says he'll be the king of hell, he means he'll be strong enough to fully control enma, his new challenger.
You know I completely agree with you, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if by the very next chapter Oda puts all the SH back together again... he's that unpredictable.
It would be amazing and extremely funny if the newer strawhats all but resolve whatever conflict is waiting in eldbaf. Like imagine if robin group solved everything mystery in elbaf and found the poneglif only leaving the main antagonist for the monster trio to defeat.
Real talk but I don’t want to give Oda any writing credit until the arc is over cause there’s no true guarantee that Oda split the crew apart so he can focus on them both. I say this cause Oda operates on luffy proximity. How close each straw hat is to Luffy dictates oda’s involvement on their own individual moments and growth. In a massive cluttered filled arc like wano the only straw hats who were given at least some sort of true noticeable character moment In relation to Luffy was Zoro, Sanji & nami. Franky had his moment ready to blast big mom talking about making Luffy the king, yet big mom didnt directly oppose franky’s belief in Luffy like Ulti tried to do to nami, Robin’s “wings of the pirate king” was in more relation to Sanji being one of luffy’s wings, not her acknowledging her importance and role for Luffy’s success Chopper and ussop being excluded fits with how narratively ussop and chopper have been pushed aside after whole cake island I actually sighed in defeat when I saw that Oda was splitting up the crew again cause he legitimately could’ve just split up the newer straw hats with Luffy and left the East blue + chopper on the ship itself It goes back into “luffy proximity “ how important and connected they are to Luffy dictates their narrative importance. Not saying Oda isn’t going to pop in on the other half but I promise you right now most of the narrative beats will be exclusively shared among Luffy’s side
Yh Oda seems to deal with such a large cast very well. at least better than a certain Children's card game that had a habit of Benching most of its characters.

That doesn't mean they are 3 rd or 2 nd commander level Robin and Franky is high executive level and is the most close to 3 rd commander level@@rand12389
@@rand12389monster point chopper was throwing zoan form queen around, the straw hats are def stronger than we think
You forget about robins new form lol, I wonder if vegapunk will help Franky get stronger
I just worry he’ll break them up further. Nothing worse than he has them into 5 groups of two to three with some side characters. Then we can get a panel of each group per chapter instead of any full scenes

Morj you're killing it recently. Managing to put out a ton of consistent content without jumping to insane theories and keeping a level head about things. Great watching your stuff man.
Oda can’t help himself with the side characters. He keeps throwing in 50 each arc
It's still unknown if Chopper is with the East Blue crew. For all we know he just wasn't show with the other group or Oda put him someplace else to have a mini adventure of his own. I personally want him to focus on just the East Blue crew for now and have them converge with Chopper and the rest after a good while.
Why… why the east blue crew? I won’t character development for the grand line crew and usopp. One piece is gonna lose a lot in my eyes otherwise
But Robin x Vivi would be lovers after all
All of the Post-Alabasta Straw Hats remind me of those optional team members you unlock in a JRPG who barely appear in the Main Story and consequently always end up on the bench while the Main Squad gets all the spotlight.

It would be incredible if she sprouted more arms for Zoro so he could wield even more swords in a really strong attack, or sprout a lot of Luffy stretchy arms against the enemy
She would be an incredible support for the team
If Vivi is going to meet up with the SHP group with Bonnie and Kuma, that could lead to the theory that Vivi gets the Paw Paw fruit at that time.
For me personally the Skypiea ensemble was the core game. Everyone after that felt like an addon to me.
Yep, it's all Super, Panties and Laid Back Daddy after the first seven haha, which, you know, is fine, I like Brook and Franky
if u count lilith and bonney to the new strawhats they are split 6 / 6
Oda might separate the strawhats but Morj can’t separate us from the Wano Analysis
Of course he split up Robin/Luffy, since they are siblings. Oda bout to pull a star wars.
The biggest problem are the side characters. Strawhats cannot get spotlight if a cast triple the size of the crew is running around in the arc. Oda needs to bring those down to about the same size, 10 non strawhats at most including the villains
I agree because the straw hats are supposed to be in the main character and the story loses quite a bit by having a solid half of the crew just kind of existing
robin and Usop in particular have been totally screwed over in the New World half of the story with them having pre established goals and plot points that are set up for them one wanting to be a brave warrior of the sea by the time he reaches the island of Giants
and because the story decided to just throw him away after he dealt with the girl who turned people into toys well she failed his objective he is not a brave warrior of the sea because he was never allowed to have an inch of character growth after dressRosa
and Robin has done barely anything despite the fact that she's Supposed to be story wise one of the most important characters in the story
If only people could die in One Piece...
@@yami122 not really you can do it. It’ll just be longer. I have no problem with that though.
skypiea was perfect ratio
I love jimbei the most among SHs. Outside Luffy ofc. He saved luffy mentally and physically when he was in literal hell. None of the SHs couldve brought luffy back from that mental he was in after Maruneford. I hipe he lives until the end of the story. He can bring SHs back from any hell.
I think it's a combination of him not really knowing what he wants to do with the characters and not wanting to reveal to much information.
I'm just afraid we won't see Robin's group until they reunite to the other group at Elbaph
good
I always thought Robin was well liked even though she came in Post Alabasta, she just have that vibe to her that's the missing piece in any anime group, the smart, tough character that you just wouldn't push around but still has the personality that you'll miss her when she's not there.
Rather than ignoring individual straw hats in the ensemble, ignore a bigger group of them instead!

4. The strawhats aren't interested in answers or plot points, Oda doesnt wants them to question and find the answers too fast because he wants to silhouette that and that man for that weapon, so he makes them not even care about what's going on.
Oda: Watch me do nothing with it
Notice how the crew that left from dress rosa early was the crew that shined in whole cake island oda gave franky usopp zoro and robin fights and moments in dressrosa and chopper nami brook and sanji fights/moments in wholecake and jinbe also
ngl, robin didnt rly get anything in dressrosa ☠️
@@nasirholmes5218 true she fought diamanté but she didnt beat him

honestly them getting split up again kind of pisses me off Because that's what the story has been doing for almost the entirety of the new world And considering a major thing is about The unity of the crew and how they're like family and all that
the story completely fails to live up to that with it only using the same 4 or 5 characters which is led to character interactions getting very stale
at this point sanji and Zorro interacting is become extremely repetitive and boring nami is used just as a sex object and is barely a person at this point
and usop had one great moment against the girl that turned people into toys and then for the rest of the story he's done basically nothing he used to be a very critical part of the story and now
makes me think on how if he hadn't rejoined the crew after fighting with the captain that not much would have changed and not must would be lost in the story
there's supposed to be a crew and the story has just kind of given up on even trying
Cause ppl were saying Oda hates Sanji for years of making his character a gag and talking Ls
Robin has been in my top 3 since Enies Lobby.
The older and experienced crew members are together
Potential story developments for the new straw hat group:
Robin: Reunion with Saul and maybe descovering secrets about Ohara she didn't even know.
Franky: History of adam wood and maybe upgrading the Sunny
Jinbe: Maybe discovering history about the Eve tree and origins of Fishman oppression
Bonney: More time with Kooma and lore on Nika (Because luffy wouldn't even care to know)
Brook:......I dunno a new song or something
I think the newer strawhats will be given the main focus with us getting smaller side panels of the main group getting into whatever shenanigans they do. They will progress but mostly off screen except the main stuff like nika info, nami getting stronger, ussop will get the most like luffy does. And the second group will get stronger but also have character growth and development
Why Morj needs to delay the Wano arc analysis as much as possible
$250 for three posters seems a bit out of touch with your target sudience , just saying
Whould,t robin have made more sense to be in elbaf
i hope oda stops doing the massive side character cast. It’s the only way for this to work
I really hope Vivi meets the newer Strawhats first.
This has been Oda's main schtick for almost 2 decades now. Elbaf wasn't going to be any different.
I think Morj is talking specifically about HOW the crew was split

It happens almost every arc it's not a new thing
Super accurate depiction man, great vid!
It really shows the limits of storytelling when a group of 10 characters is considered too much. And there is no real solution here because we already have the smallest crew in the entire series.
Brook could become the strongest character. He has unlimited time to train. Imagine brook traning like Zorro for centurys💀
After watching dusk and dawn's videos nothing makes sense anymore. The way she looks at one piece theories is completely different from all other creators.
I want to watch jinbe doing badass things
Can’t wait for a new strawhat training arc
Has morj talked about the theory that Loki is posing as Luffy since Luffy didn't want to eat more in this chapter, isn't wearing his strawhat, and said "gear 4" while using a gear 3rd move?
Watch the other group (Franky, Brook, Robin, Jinbe) still get nothing. They will just be off-screened till they reunite with the East-Blue 5 and things will just go back to what they were...
Not exactly "newer" strawhats, robin, brook and franky have been in the crew since 2010, only jimbe is the new member.
yeah people forget robin literally joined in like 2002-2003 ☠️
Also interesting is how it's worked to be the weakest three with the strongest three. It could present an opportunity or need for the weaker trio to step up and grow in combat.

I think it would be cool of Oda kept them split for a while would be interesting having 2 groups in completely different places.
ngl Oda ignoring vivi THE OG ONE is a big disappointment to me
I agree that there’s little to none character development regarding the SH, but I think this is just because Egghead was the prologue to the last saga.
Love this! Agree wholeheartedly and was thinking these same thoughts as I read these chapters! Cheers Morj
More Morj is a Must
I NEED TO SEE ROBIN IN MORE FIGHTS!
I mostly like how the side characters finally get their own story told in the egghead arc.
I constantly forget about Brook being a Strawhat. And I like Brook!
Its pretty obvious Brook is going to explore the aspect of Niflheim in yggdrasil aka the frozen underworld of the dead..
Bro... he does this every arc, even when it was just the og 5🤦🏾♂️
I'm hoping Elbaf will be a more isolated arc because it really felt like Egghead was 50% side characters and outside world events. But if Egghead is more like Wano with less side characters it gives Oda more screentime to focus on the strawhats and they adventures.
Yamato will probably also be added to the crew as well
2025 and this cope is still a thing.
It took me 1video to subscribe, i love your predictions and explanations and knowledge of story telling ❗alot of it makes sense too
When you said the straw hat crew met their cap of character writing at 8 characters I strongly agree, and thats kind of just because I think brook and Jimbei aren't the best characters.
I like that we started the arc off with the east blue team
and it turns out it was just to prevent the old straw hats from reading the newspaper
Strawhats will find the One Piece before Morj releases the Wano Analysis
Honestly I don't even get why the straw hats even have so many members considering only 4 or 5 really get used
Bleach and Naruto had the exact same problem Where they introduced way too many characters which leads to 90% of the cast just getting tossed aside and a small percentage of them getting way overused
The ad length is NOT OKAY. CHECK YOURSELF.
best move? dawg this same shit happens in literally every arc
Sometimes I wonder what kind of depth we'll get if the only crew sticking all the way to Elbaph is just the main five
Oda not going deeper into Zoro's family tree while in Wano was the absolute worst he has done such a lost opportunity
He already respects him and intends to surpass/equal him
@@JoiBoi_D_Fish Think of plenty of ways he would find out about his lineage and As for what his lineage would add well there's a lot it could add depending on who that lineage is
if he has an ancestor that was once the strongest swordsman in the world that gives him more of a narrative to himself become the greatest swordsman as he would then be surpassing or becoming equal to his ancestor
or even better what if one of his ancestors failed to become the strongest swordsman after dueling the strongest swordsman his ancestor died this would be perfect and would add both an element of danger in his pursuit of that title as well adding more narrative in him wanting to attain the title his ancestor could not
Perhaps his family name is a very tarnished one perhaps one of his ancestors was a traitor which would give more narrative to his fight against the Beast Pirates where he would help liberate the country his family once betrayed
Honestly that story arc wasted so much of its time it was the longest arc and it really didn't need to be
it drag its feet and plotted along particularly in the first half of the arc before the actual raid
and what baffles me is the story constantly had characters engage in brief skirmishes where it appears that two characters are about to fight only for one or both of those characters to just not fight and they separate and this kept tapping over and over again
only for when the story got to the actual fights the story had wasted so much of its time that the actual fight stopped rushed when if only they had actually moved the story along instead of wasting time on the non fights we could have had some actual satisfying fights
because only three of the fights we got in one or were actually satisfying those being luffy Zorro And Kid With law
the Sanji fight sucked so hard Because it was just him running away being a pansy the entire fight and being a little brat about his invisibility suit
and the thing with Sanji is that his character hasn't done anything for so long he was in a whole cake but he didn't get a major fight there only making a cake
and he didn't do anything for dress Rosa or zoe so considering he's one of what's supposed to be the Big Three I guess now the big 4 his character hasn't had a big brawl in a long time
@@yami122nah to be honest it’s better zoro didn’t find out. I think it fits his character to not care anyways so revealing it to him in the story is pointless😊
@@yami122
zoro was doing that anyway
kuina's death did that already
that could be interesting as zoro is a very prideful person. however one of the key themes of wano was about how lineage doesn't define who you are. tama, momo, yamato. these characters made their own choices given their circumstances. they didn't care about their names for the most part. they just wanted to make wano a better place, same as everyone.
zoro's growth in wano was more about becoming a conqueror. king was stronger than zoro yet didn't have coc. why? because he lacked ambition. king hid himself from the world and chose to dedicate himself completely to kaido. zoro on the other hand has dedicated his life to his ambition. not just for himself but for his promise to his friend and captain. zoro comes to understand he needs to accept his role as a king in order to achieve his dream. zoro has no desire to rule over anyone but he awakens coc because he wants to be strong enough to fulfil his dream and promise. when he says he'll be the king of hell, he means he'll be strong enough to fully control enma, his new challenger.
Now that I remember by seeing your thumbnail luffy sanji zoro nami and ussap are the first strawhats who met dorry and brogy in little garden
This happens every arc its nothing new. While it makes sense from a meta perspective its still getting old always following the same formula
You know I completely agree with you, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if by the very next chapter Oda puts all the SH back together again... he's that unpredictable.
It would be amazing and extremely funny if the newer strawhats all but resolve whatever conflict is waiting in eldbaf. Like imagine if robin group solved everything mystery in elbaf and found the poneglif only leaving the main antagonist for the monster trio to defeat.
sorry but $83 for a poster is insane lmao i see why you didn't mention the price
Franky had his moment ready to blast big mom talking about making Luffy the king, yet big mom didnt directly oppose franky’s belief in Luffy like Ulti tried to do to nami, Robin’s “wings of the pirate king” was in more relation to Sanji being one of luffy’s wings, not her acknowledging her importance and role for Luffy’s success
Chopper and ussop being excluded fits with how narratively ussop and chopper have been pushed aside after whole cake island
I actually sighed in defeat when I saw that Oda was splitting up the crew again cause he legitimately could’ve just split up the newer straw hats with Luffy and left the East blue + chopper on the ship itself
It goes back into “luffy proximity “ how important and connected they are to Luffy dictates their narrative importance.
