Yes, but if we assume Luffy thinks Bartolomeo is dead, he is for sure gonna be pissed off and see that as way over line considering it was a simple mistake by Barto and he never harmed anyone. Plus with I can’t imagine Zoro accepting Luffy taking this level of disrespect as if this spreads around this would undoubtedly hurt Luffy’s reputation and Zoro wouldn’t stand for that. It will be a conflict but it will likely be a davyback fight to settle the dispute in someway or a respectful fight.
I think Shanks did this to actually test out if Luffy is ready for the big leagues. Also to recognize him as such as the one his old captain waited for the longest time.

He’s with Luffy by association though. Someone like Zoro will slap sense into Luffy by saying that we are a pirate crew at the end of the day. Luffy is a Yonko, and he needs to protect his fleet from other Yonkos. Especially if his goal is to be king of the pirates. You can’t have Shanks, Blackbeard, and even Buggy in the way.
Great video. When watching it, it reminded of what Luffy would've done if he learns about what happened to Amazon Lily, especially when it comes to what Hancock, Koby, and Teach did to each other.
Exactly And morj seem to forget time to time that is goofy pirate manga and everything needs to be taken so seriously I already hate the idea of them fighting over borto,he should always remain a gag character
when shanks saved luffy from that bandit, it was luffy's fault for provoking them.. but it didn't matter since shanks explicitly said he doesn't care what the reasons are, nobody hurts his friend.. if luffy really learnt anything, he wouldn't care what barto did
I hope there's a moment where Shanks greets Luffy after he makes a declaration of war and Shanks offers a peace seeing that Luffy cares for his crew enough to pick another fight with Yonkou for them only for Luffy to flat out refuse. Hopefully they have a Davy Back fight over the hat afterwards.
Pretty much expected: Every opponent in the new world has been used to hone his Haki. Katakuri - Observation Haki Kaido - Ryuo Haki Big Mom - Armourment haki Shanks - Clash of the strongest Haki.
I think it's going to be more like a Roger vs Whitebeard fight in Oden's flashback, not too serious but they'll sure exchange some serious blows and laugh it off
I could totally see luffy telling shanks that he understands why they took out Barto’s ship, but as a new Yonko he’s gotta give shanks at least one punch to call it even. But with the amount of loyalty Shank’s built up with his crew something like that would quickly escalate into a real grudge between emperor crews.
your reasoning makes narrative sense, but im gonna be laughing my ass off if the "major grand fleet incident" is barto getting fucked up by the red hair pirates ☠☠
I wonder if this conflict ties into Sai and Leo assaulting Charlos. We have seen that Shanks has some mutual understandings with the Gorosei. There has got to be some favor or two he owes them. I wonder if they'll request Shanks to take out these two, fueling problems even further. The God's Knights were involved in that matter, which could tie into Shanks' storyline further.
Called it and I’ve been saying this… but since I have no platform everyone said I was wrong… NOW I PASS MY WILL TO YOU MORJ!! SET THE PEOPLE FREE FROM OVER GLAZING SHANKS
I can see this happening. Luffy won’t cross any serious lines, but in fact he will face off with Shanks and assert his dominance in one way or the other. Making Shanks respect him in a legit manner.
1:04 at this point, my question is wouldn’t Luffy get that Bart bit off more than he could chew in insulting Shanks? I feel Luffy would believe Shanks behaved appropriately. After all, a pirate’s Jolly Roger is a precious thing. He protected Dr Hiruluk’s without even knowing about him. Just that it was a Jolly Roger. I’m positive Luffy would be furious with Bart. He’s gonna think Bart effed around and found out. Not maliciously either. In a “that’s just what happens on the Grand Line” attitude. I don’t think Luffy would go to war over this.
I thought the whole point of Batho’s trial was that he was paying for his crimes. Also, they aren’t his subordinates, they’re just affiliated. I really doubt this one
One thing I think is suuper interesting about this is the cycle of violence. Sure, both shanks and luffy's actions would be justified and arguably morally right, but at a certain point doesnt this just involve them repeatedly getting payback for the payback? I imagine oda would write things so that Luffy and Shanks would agree to avoid that by ending it once and for all in the davy back fight, but if that isn't the case then it wouldnt be the first time that "good" characters got into a situation like this. Dorry and Broggy got into an endless fight (that they still want to continue even now) on little garden. And it certainly seems like Luffy could be meeting up with shanks in Elbaf. If there were a time to go into that theme, it would be now that all the pieces are in place. Who knows, maybe the war between the WG and the ancient kingdom took a similar route.
hear me out. the conflict is a davy back fight. 3 coin game. shanks wins round 1 and takes robin, luffy wins round 2 and takes robin back, then luffy wins round 3 and wins the fourth poneglyph or some info about it. or instead of robin it imvolves the hat. like luffy returns hat before game starts. loses robin in round 1, gets her back in round 2, gets hat back in round 3. long ring long land had long creatures, elbaf has tall creatures - oda loves his mirroring
i think Bartolomeo would be severely injured protecting his crew upon impact. and Luffy will be furious upon seeing his condition. There may be a scene where bartolomeo will stop Luffy saying its his fault and Luffy should not suffer for it, but that will only strengthen luffy's resolve to protect his friends
After Dressrosa, we were told that the Straw Hat Grand Fleet would play a major role in the Final War. I don't think anyone expected that that meant their shenanigans would inadvertently force Shanks and Luffy into a war, despite the Grand Fleet not really being under Luffy's command. You can actually see how noticeably miserable Shanks is when dealing with Bartholomew. He knows from Bartholomew's actions and speech from the poison that he was not acting on Luffy's orders, and had no real ill intent towards Shanks. Shanks can already see the tragedy that is going to happen, but he has no choice but to proceed since there are too many witnesses to his transgression.
1:09 - i think you are going put of your way by saying this, bartolomeo did something luffy himself despises - attacking an innocent island and taking it over. And he even did it in luffys name, i dont think luffy will just see black and white on this one. Barto did something evil and stupid and paid the price.
The defeat of Bartolomeo will alert the other straw hat fleet members, causing them to group together to do SOMETHING, or attack the shanks pirate, which will in turn cause the "great" incident that will change the world that was foreshadowed in dressrosa
it's actually something I'm surprised more people in the community didn't notice That this sets up a war between the Shanks Pirates and the straw hats everybody was talking about how the red hairs needed to do this in order to protect their empire well I was pointing out that this is ironically going to probably be what utterly destroys their empire in that if they had just let him go their empire would probably have lasted longer
I feel like it will be like a passing of the of the torch moment. Like it will be similar to when Roger & Whitebeard fought each other for 3 days then the partied together.
Makes sense as we see pirate crews battle for several days straight and then drink together right after the battle. Shanks is quite accustome to that very kind of thing (see wb vs rodger pirates)
I can see there being a scene where maybe Luffy doesn't want to fight Shanks, and Zoro has to remind Luffy of his responsibility like he did in Water 7, he has to show the world that he will protect his friends so people stay away from his territory
Great video brother ! I would like to also add now is perfect time for Teach to intervene between Shanks and Luffy mid fight and possibly even kill Shanks. Giving him a perfect way to steal the poneglyphs from both Yonkos, likely making him the closest to the One piece. Likely after the death of Shanks, it is another maturing for Luffy (not a timeskip exactly but maybe a reality check for Luffy) Also I always felt it was natural that Teach kills Shanks given that Teach is a D and Shanks has the blood of a world noble. It was always a given, since D’s are the natural enemy of God. Agree that Shanks is technically not a world noble but still carries the blood of one. Open to critique for this one. Looking forward to the next chapter
i also see the incident causing luffy to step up as a leader and create ground rules for subordinate fleets loyal to him to follow to prevent another incident from happening
Honestly, I can't wait to see this. Especially if some blame falls upon Yasopp. Which member of the Straw Hats caused the first serious infighting, and not over a simple misunderstanding? Oh yeah, Usopp! I love parallels Oda draws.
if barto ever even talks about it.. he said he would rather die so its wouldn't be from his mouth that he would get his idol involved for his screw up.
The davy back fight MIGHT be a fight where they decide that the losing side has to vow to not go for the one piece. Just a guess but if it is a daby back fight, I think this is perfect with how Luffy first declared that he'll be the pirate king to Shanks.
This could actually Spark conflict in Elbaf. I wouldn't be surprised if some Giants loyal to Shanks , Earing about the Bartolomeo incident, could think of attacking the Mugiwara expecting a ShanksVSLuffy future battle
Luffy: Do not mess with my subordinates! Shanks: Don't blame me! Blame your own subordinate for attacking my territory! Luffy: Gum Gum! Fifth gear! Shanks: (He awakens his haki and charges at Luffy, and when they clash, the sky splits into two.) Zoro: (He looks up at the sky and sees it fractured.) Oh no! That's not good. Nami: (concerned) Don't you think it would be a better idea to intervene? Zoro: No, I think we should wait this one out until they've worn out their haki. Beckman: Yassop! This clash was your fault. Yassop: (confused) What did I do? Beckman: I don't know, you went complete overkill by blowing up Barto's ship. The poison was quite enough of a punishment. Yassop: I was only doing it to teach him a lesson. Beckman: *sighs* Maybe you should've paid more attention to your son.
I was about to say ain't no way Luffy leaving someone sworn to him in the dirt even if he didn't ask. He respects his friends, family, and code too much to let this go
luffy isn’t on shanks level yet: so here are some things i would like to happen. either 1: luffys grand fleet being tarnished will be the main drive for him to get onto shanks level in whatever power up that may be. or 2: luffy teams up with another pirate group (i would like to see buggy’s group (unrealistic tho)) and they jump shanks. lmk if any of this can’t happen for whatever reason or other ideas.
He might talk to Shanks on Bart's behalf but a war is a steeeetch. Furthermore BArto started it and Shanks didn't lay a finger on Barto. Yasopp did. Retaliation would be an over reaction on Luffy's parr. He is more likely to tell both of them to fight it out than actually get involved. Kinda like if Zoro and Sanjii got in a fight over something, he would not get in the middle but rather egg them on, and even have a party and audience to watch the fight.

@@somerandomguy3037 it could even end up like the fights between Roger and Whitebeard who fought "to the death" but remained good friends afterwards
And in ch1 Liffy antagonised Higaruma and Shanks said he doesn't care he'll still retribute Higaruma for his friend Luffys sake

Some people just don’t keep their promises
Rise up my fellow morj viewers, this insult cannot be taken sitting down! Retribution!
Going luffy senpai: destroyed
Next: thousand luffy senpai
Exactly. This is a pirates world, not teletubbies. Luffy will seek retribution
What is Bartolomeo's devil fruit again 😂😂
I think Shanks did this to actually test out if Luffy is ready for the big leagues. Also to recognize him as such as the one his old captain waited for the longest time.
I do like how this conflict is created out of duty, great vid morj

Imma laugh my ass off at the end of this series is Oda never brings back the davy back fight, thus confirming that was nothing but filler
As soon as you pointed out the RH pirates breaking the ONE cardinal rule of the SH pirates, i was convinced
I would argue that Bart himself said that this wasn't Luffy's responsibility. So it's very possible that he might not do anything.
There would be no sufficient good reason for this to be in the story tho
Saying it isn't Luffy's responsability is the exact type of thing I expect from Luffy's allies to say before Luffy makes it his responsability
5:15 bruh what. Barto literally attacked civilians unprovoked. If luffy picks up his tab he is literally the bad guy her 🤦
Exactly
And morj seem to forget time to time that is goofy pirate manga and everything needs to be taken so seriously
I already hate the idea of them fighting over borto,he should always remain a gag character
when shanks saved luffy from that bandit, it was luffy's fault for provoking them.. but it didn't matter since shanks explicitly said he doesn't care what the reasons are, nobody hurts his friend.. if luffy really learnt anything, he wouldn't care what barto did
Thank you @@ihtishamulhaquenafis4214
The final arcs are gonna be peak
This is how WW1 started
I hope there's a moment where Shanks greets Luffy after he makes a declaration of war and Shanks offers a peace seeing that Luffy cares for his crew enough to pick another fight with Yonkou for them only for Luffy to flat out refuse.
Hopefully they have a Davy Back fight over the hat afterwards.
Do you think a davy back fight can still happen? Also, the great pirate race is such a great concept. Banger vid
You are cooking with this I cannot wait to see what happens
Pretty much expected:
Every opponent in the new world has been used to hone his Haki.
Katakuri - Observation Haki
Kaido - Ryuo Haki
Big Mom - Armourment haki
Shanks - Clash of the strongest Haki.
Morj fr out here promoting razors that tear your balls off and 300$ wallpapers lol
your reasoning makes narrative sense, but im gonna be laughing my ass off if the "major grand fleet incident" is barto getting fucked up by the red hair pirates ☠☠

The Four Emperors War 🏴☠️
6:16 this is how 99% of gang wars started in the real world😭
I wonder if this conflict ties into Sai and Leo assaulting Charlos. We have seen that Shanks has some mutual understandings with the Gorosei. There has got to be some favor or two he owes them. I wonder if they'll request Shanks to take out these two, fueling problems even further. The God's Knights were involved in that matter, which could tie into Shanks' storyline further.
You're wrong from the beginning. Luffy doesn't have subordinates. That's the whole point of the grand fleet.
Called it and I’ve been saying this… but since I have no platform everyone said I was wrong… NOW I PASS MY WILL TO YOU MORJ!! SET THE PEOPLE FREE FROM OVER GLAZING SHANKS
I was wondering how Luffy would react to Eustass's defeat, but having Barto also suffer defeat by Shanks guarantees he'll be upset.
I can see this happening. Luffy won’t cross any serious lines, but in fact he will face off with Shanks and assert his dominance in one way or the other. Making Shanks respect him in a legit manner.
@MrMorj4 you seem to check out just fine. Nothing fishy about you. 😂
Luffy would not be pissed off, he’d probably laugh his ahh off at bartolomeo for getting absolutely cooked by his “buddy” shanks
Beckman vs Zoro would be pretty weird fight :D
do you know that Luffy would be angry for what Bartolomeo did and especially who he did it to?
It doesn't matter, he's an Emperor of the Sea
I thought the whole point of Batho’s trial was that he was paying for his crimes. Also, they aren’t his subordinates, they’re just affiliated. I really doubt this one
I've been watching videos for a week and I don't think one person has mentioned how fluffy is gonna retaliate. Love to see the video
Only yonko? The man marked by the flame Rocks D. Xebec is coming!!!
This is how i see it going down. Good video Morj.
Oda is such a genius setting this up all the way back then with what we all took as his funny little haha cover stories
hear me out. the conflict is a davy back fight.
I didn't even consider this, thanks for pointing it out! Great video!
Such a perfect and gorgeous intro, goodshit fr keep it up
11:55: Morj: “an invite to a private happy hour”
Me: Ara Ara.
This is so peak I can already see the panels in my head
The defeat of Bartolomeo will alert the other straw hat fleet members, causing them to group together to do SOMETHING, or attack the shanks pirate, which will in turn cause the "great" incident that will change the world that was foreshadowed in dressrosa
This would be a great time to reintroduce the Davy Back fight
it's actually something I'm surprised more people in the community didn't notice That this sets up a war between the Shanks Pirates and the straw hats
everybody was talking about how the red hairs needed to do this in order to protect their empire well I was pointing out that this is ironically going to probably be what utterly destroys their empire in that if they had just let him go their empire would probably have lasted longer
Zoro vs Beckmann....im here for it!!!
straw hats vs. red haired DAVY BACK FIGHT, LET'S GOO!!!
Barto used the Bari-Bari no mi and protected all of the allies. No ally of Luffy was hurt here, I would say
Uh oh is the over shadowing they spoke about at the end of dressrosa when we formed the fleet?
Luffy never actually considered the grand pirate fleet to be a part of the straw hats.
Yes but he asked for their help and promised his help in exchange
I feel like it will be like a passing of the of the torch moment. Like it will be similar to when Roger & Whitebeard fought each other for 3 days then the partied together.
Makes sense as we see pirate crews battle for several days straight and then drink together right after the battle. Shanks is quite accustome to that very kind of thing (see wb vs rodger pirates)
@MrMorj4 gay
I can see there being a scene where maybe Luffy doesn't want to fight Shanks, and Zoro has to remind Luffy of his responsibility like he did in Water 7, he has to show the world that he will protect his friends so people stay away from his territory
Luffy doesnt have a responsibility towards barto
@@bebekxettri9634 yes he does
Great video brother ! I would like to also add now is perfect time for Teach to intervene between Shanks and Luffy mid fight and possibly even kill Shanks. Giving him a perfect way to steal the poneglyphs from both Yonkos, likely making him the closest to the One piece. Likely after the death of Shanks, it is another maturing for Luffy (not a timeskip exactly but maybe a reality check for Luffy)
Also I always felt it was natural that Teach kills Shanks given that Teach is a D and Shanks has the blood of a world noble. It was always a given, since D’s are the natural enemy of God. Agree that Shanks is technically not a world noble but still carries the blood of one. Open to critique for this one.
Looking forward to the next chapter
Hopefully it's a Davy back fight to secure Yasopp, so that he can raise his son for once in his pathetic life.
i also see the incident causing luffy to step up as a leader and create ground rules for subordinate fleets loyal to him to follow to prevent another incident from happening
Straw Hats vs Red Haired Davy Back fight is gonna be insane, and it could even mean Shanks joining Luffy’s fleet if he loses
Love this theory, I hadn’t even considered this when i saw that scene
Honestly, I can't wait to see this. Especially if some blame falls upon Yasopp. Which member of the Straw Hats caused the first serious infighting, and not over a simple misunderstanding? Oh yeah, Usopp! I love parallels Oda draws.
I'm going to enjoy Shanks being sent flying by a comically large punch, "you lost your arm for me, let me give you some arm back" *smack*
Can you even Imagine Oda drawing Shanks getting hits 😂😂 ??
Pirate on Pirate violence
if barto ever even talks about it.. he said he would rather die so its wouldn't be from his mouth that he would get his idol involved for his screw up.
I was so expecting him to say, "And if you want a smoother way to shave your balls,"
Fifth gear!
Shanks: (He awakens his haki and charges at Luffy, and when they clash, the sky splits into two.)
Zoro: (He looks up at the sky and sees it fractured.) Oh no!
I feel like for this situation to play out, Luffy needs to kept in the dark as to why Bartolomeo was attacked.
Ehat if Loki propose a davy back fight to settle it? But no taking of crews
Praying that you are right about this and that Oda doesn't make Blackbeard or Evil Shanks sweep Shanks out.
A war between Morj and the Wano analysis Just Began.
