Like Emily pointed out she brings the breathetaking video choreo right to the stage and she did that every night. Jaw dropping really!! Thank you ladies ❤❤
The male voice you hear in the beginning is the lead singer of Pet Shop Boys! Madonna always wanted to collaborate with them and it finally happened in a remix of Sorry, which she used for the opening of this song 😊
Just imagine being able to keep thousands of people's attention for 2 hours a night for months on end. Just amazing. How cool is her jacket?!! She truly is in her element on this tour. Nobody puts on a tour like this. We all know it to be true. Even after all these years it's mind blowing. I'm so glad I was an adult at this time and made sure not to miss it. I kind of feel sorry for the people who were too young or too supercilious to give anything outside their box a chance.
It's so true. And like you said, even after almost twenty years, this tour is just as fresh, topical and powerful as it was at the time. Much love to you! ❤️❤️
Hello ladies, great reaction. I've seen many of my fellow viewers mention that the song has vocals from Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys. The PSB/Madonna connection is actually a lot bigger than many think. Neil interviewed Madonna in 1984 when he was working for UK pop magazine Smash Hits. The PSB also wrote a song for Madonna in 1986 called "Heart" but she rejected it as she thought it might be a little too similar to her own "Open Your Heart". They went on to have a UK Number One single with the song. PS they also featured as guest artists on Robbie Williams' single "She's Madonna" which was written about a previous girlfriend of Williams, who had been left by her boyfriend - Guy Ritchie. The song is from Ritchie's point of view telling the girlfriend he was leaving her for Madonna. Maybe be worth checking out?
I would add that Neil Tennant went on record praising her song-writing and phrasing, saying, "Someone who you might not think of as the world's best lyricist is Madonna, but she always gets the emphasis on the right syllable."
Aww, thank you! ❤️❤️ And thank you so much for explaining the long-term PSB connections with Madonna - Very interesting. We'll definitely have to check out "She's Madonna" as well - That's quite the premise for a song (talk about a small world!)! Biggest hugs to you ❤️
I like this version a little bit more than original version because it's from PSB remix of "Sorry" P. S. Greetings for you lovely ladies and your reactions ❤
Hi girls, the intro for thisA version of "Sorry" was sung by the group Pet Shop Boys. I was wondering if you had already reacted to the whole tour, because if you are watching it again for us, I want to say thank youI was particularly keen on it
Bonsoir!!! A little sunny video tonight is powerful, because there is snow outside, it snows in France and we need heat! So what better than Madonna for that, with our two favorites!!!! We danced a lot the 4 nights in paris, and do you know who's singing at the beginning? Pet shop boys! It's from the remixes. Thank you! And have a good night. With kindness, little frenchy. 🎉
Bonsoir! "A little sunny video tonight is powerful, because there is snow outside, it snows in France and we need heat! So what better than Madonna for that, with our two favorites!!!! " Aww, you're the sweetest - Sending the biggest warm hugs to you so you'll feel cozy in the snow! Much love ❤️❤️
This tour was in the summer of 2006, I’m wondering perhaps this song and the earlier music video and this tour number-both with her combative choreo was her portrayal of her sentiments over her spats with Guy Richie sometime this era that’d eventually led to a divorce in 2008. She resorts to her confrontational punk swagger and sneer, with the “in your face middle finger” when she’s angry or outraged at someone. The earlier fight sequence choreo you’re referring to was the Geisha segment number Sky Fits Heaven from her 2001 DWT when she and her female dancers “vanquished” male dancers in a marshal arts-style acrobatic leaping with karate chops and kicks. You’ll see some more of this angry, combative Madonna in her 2012 MDNA tour. And also more punk/rocker swagger, swearing and middle finger pointing in her 2008 Sticky&Sweet tour. This is typical Madonna in her live concerts: she can be all fun, dancing; then be serious, political, profound, religious/spiritual; then be profane, confrontational, street smart tough girl; and then be romantic, sweet, vulnerable and charismatic. Her range is just phenomenal. ❤and share in your fun reaction.😊
Just wondering what your feedback is on my thoughts about Live To Tell-one of her thought-provoking performance ever. I value your openness in exchanging insight with your subscribers in this Madonna journey. Thank you.❤😊
"The earlier fight sequence choreo you’re referring to was the Geisha segment number Sky Fits Heaven from her 2001 DWT when she and her female dancers “vanquished” male dancers in a marshal arts-style acrobatic leaping with karate chops and kicks." Yes! Thank you for reminding us of that one! ❤️❤️ "This is typical Madonna in her live concerts: she can be all fun, dancing; then be serious, political, profound, religious/spiritual; then be profane, confrontational, street smart tough girl; and then be romantic, sweet, vulnerable and charismatic." The absolute best description we've ever read!! Love that! Biggest hugs to you❤️
@briandubois-gilbert8182 Thank you for letting know we hadn't responded to that comment yet!! We just looked it up and saw it under the video comments, but for some reason, it didn't show up in YT studio (where we answer comments). Sorry about that! Much love to you ❤️❤️
Yes...I have THE same feeling. For every internacional show (but also locals) brazilians Góes wild: they learn lyrics, they Sing (and even learns english), they dance, they jump and they scream ---- But we know its also culture, guess japanese and biritishs are lknda like that "low profile". ---- Gotta admit: incredible song and lyrics ❤ ---- Its funny how some men thinks its THE owner OF a woman and that, without hum, she is nothing. That gets even harder when woman needs THE man financially, allowing lots of submission towards THE men decisions ---- Very important woman to be independent ($$$$). ---- My mom (beautiful blondie GIRL, and in his youth looked like Brigitte Bardot) was submissive to my father. ---- My father yelled to the world: MY WIFE DOESNT NEED TO WORK, I WILL SUSTAIN HER. I dont want other men with my wife 😮😢😖 --- Fun facts: my father raised a millionaire Empire from 80s, 90s, 2000s. Around 2010s...he lost almost everything --- Can you imagine being a girl and lost your support ($$$) when you are with 60 years old because of a man mistake? ---- Yes, they are together We, sons, help each other But, comigo back to the song, DO NOT DEPENDS ON MAN for anything 💋💪
"Yes...I have THE same feeling. For every internacional show (but also locals) brazilians Góes wild: they learn lyrics, they Sing (and even learns english), they dance, they jump and they scream" Brazilians are always the most incredible audiences - Some of the best concerts we've ever seen on video were in Brazil. The enthusiasm and audience participation (especially singing along) is second to none! ❤️❤️ And thank you for sharing your family's story with us (Your mom sounds gorgeous!!). She must've been so worried when your dad had those financial challenges... It really is important to be able to support yourself financially when possible (otherwise you always have that fear that comes with being dependent). Biggest hugs to you! ❤️😘
This song, Like It Or Not, Let It Will Be are very underrated live

Her look throughout this tour was awesome. Just kind of basic but with an extra glamour edge, And of course as always I’m obsessed with her hair.

Love the Pet Shop Boys (pretty sure it’s Neil) saying the ‘I’m sorry’ at the start. What an amazing remix, if you’ve not heard it.
