To date, there has not been a pop artist with such charisma and stage control as Madonna. It is a mix of skills and good aesthetic sense that transcend. Kisses girls
This is such a Madonna song!!! One of my faves, deffo the most Erotica sounding song of the album, the lyrics are just so Madonna. That's why she is Madonna. Absolutely inspiring.
The first time I saw her was on The Girlie Show tour here in Brazil in São Paulo in November 1993, I was 16 years old and I was very close to the left side of the catwalk, glued to the railing, it was her first time in my country, it was magical! Then she only came back in 2008 with the Sticky & Sweet Tour and I saw her from afar, only in 2012 on the MDNA Tour did I see her up close like in 93, but I was 35 years old and I almost died of exhaustion waiting all day standing in the track hahahhah!!! So that's why I didn't go to Rio in Copacabana because now at 46 years old I wouldn't survive the experience of standing on the sand with the sun in Rio in the middle of almost two million people hahahah!! But I consider myself satisfied and grateful for the experiences I've had and I'm happy for everyone who can have this happiness of seeing the queen up close or from afar, it doesn't matter, what matters is knowing that you're in the same place Madonna is for a few hours.
"The first time I saw her was on The Girlie Show tour here in Brazil in São Paulo in November 1993, I was 16 years old and I was very close to the left side of the catwalk, glued to the railing, it was her first time in my country, it was magical!" What an experience that must've been!!!! And we're more than a little jealous that you were able to see The Girlie Show in person. 😉 "...only in 2012 on the MDNA Tour did I see her up close like in 93, but I was 35 years old and I almost died of exhaustion waiting all day standing in the track hahahhah!!! So that's why I didn't go to Rio in Copacabana because now at 46 years old I wouldn't survive the experience of standing on the sand with the sun in Rio in the middle of almost two million people hahahah!!" Completely understand why you made that choice! "But I consider myself satisfied and grateful for the experiences I've had and I'm happy for everyone who can have this happiness of seeing the queen up close or from afar, it doesn't matter, what matters is knowing that you're in the same place Madonna is for a few hours." It's so true. We still can't believe that we were able to spend a few hours sharing the same space with her - Wild! Biggest hugs and lots of love to you ❤️❤️
Yes, Rebel Heart, I saw her front row and during “deeper and deeper” she looked down right into my eyes with the biggest smile while she was singing. After after being a huge fan since I was 8, it was amazing to say the least ❤❤
Madonna is indeed commanding the stage like no other. And this song can easily be the signature one in terms of the lyrics from 1983 to now. ( Human nature too actually).Thank you ladies ❤❤
Oh Emily, don’t worry! Madonna knows her way around this chair 😂 Like it or Not is such a great deep cut in her discography, yet such an underrated song. It definitely summarises her as an artist. If she had released as a single it would have been like the ultimate diss track
"Oh Emily, don’t worry! Madonna knows her way around this chair 😂" 😂😂 Love that! And completely agree with you - This song is a great summary of her as an artist! Much love to you ❤️❤️
She is so captivating. I think that is her ultimate superpower- she was able to hold the world’s attention for decades. Unlike any other, female or male, before or after, love her or hate her, she kept everyone interested. She’s the ultimate IT girl.
I love how mom and daughter wince every time the Queen climbs steps or gets on a chair 😂, so adorable. I can't wait to describe my experience of sitting next to her. Felt like all those years of waiting to see her were a forgotten memory. I agree 100%, her aura and ability to command a performance by herself is unmatched. Beautiful, sassy song I definitely "like"
"I love how mom and daughter wince every time the Queen climbs steps or gets on a chair 😂, so adorable." Every single time. 😂😂 Can't wait to hear your story - Sounds amazing!! Lots of love to you ❤️❤️
What this show and this specific performance prove is that even with the best dancers, the most impressive choreography, incredible wardrobe, breathtaking sets, state-of-the-art productions, and cutting-edge technology, none of it would have the same impact without Madonna's charismatic and hypnotic presence and her unmistakable music!
I think this number, theme wise, is her brilliant way to cap this “Bedouin” segment where she shared her geopolitical views and humanitarian concerns about the myriad issues facing this conflicted region of the world. She’s well aware her viewers and fans will react to her messaging differently. But love her or hate her, she’ll continue to “speak truth to power”, “ruffle some feathers”, “break barriers and taboos”, “disturb the peace” of the status quo of apathy and ignorance to advance her advocacy. This is a major reason why she is not only a pop music icon, but also a cultural heroine for many people whose lives/careers she has influenced and changed for the better. ❤your reaction and insight here. Thank you for all your amazing work in this Madonna journey.😊
Aww, thank you! ❤️❤️ Absolutely love your thoughts on the theme of this song within the Bedouin segment of the show. "But love her or hate her, she’ll continue to “speak truth to power”, “ruffle some feathers”, “break barriers and taboos”, “disturb the peace” of the status quo of apathy and ignorance to advance her advocacy." Very well said! And don't ever tell her to stop. 😉 Big hugs to you! ❤️
one of my favorite songs by the queen and what lyrics! Madonna's stage presence has no equal! with the movements, the voice and a chair it was incredible! hi girls keep it up 👌👏🤩
this chair... from open your heart video to celebration tour, you'll find it many times during her career. A character in itself! And don't worry grrlls , after this tour , there are some more to see!!!!
At her Miami charity concert “Tears of a clown” she auctions off her chair and one of my friends bought it. I forgot what he paid but I believe it was in the 5-digit range.
I have seen Madonna 2 times very closely and what has always struck me is her really penetrating gaze. In the catwalk where she sings this song if you were on one side of the stage you couldn't see her except when she got up on the chair, the catwalk was really very close to the people who could see Madonna up close and not from a high stage
What amazing experiences you must have had! As penetrating as her gaze feels just from watching the videos, we can't imagine what it's like when you're so close. Big hugs to you! ❤️❤️
Another great reaction, ladies!! I love these reactions ! Fun fact: this song uses the same chord progression as the opening in Papa Don’t Preach (if you listen to the very end of this song, you’ll be able to hear the similarity!!) Thank you for these reactions !!
Aww thank you so much! You're very kind! ❤️❤️ "Fun fact: this song uses the same chord progression as the opening in Papa Don’t Preach" Thank you for sharing - went back and listened, and it is so cool!
Last thing (lol: can you imagine what success is when the biggest star in music is not a singer, she doesn't consider herself one, she considers herself a dancing performer. I think that's SO COOL
Bonsoir! I always loved this song, on the top 3 of my favorite of the album COADF. ❤😊 I learned a lot about relations with this song, and it opened my eyes..... and at the same time this song is so dancing!!!! 😂 This is who i am.... you can like it or not.... the best advice! With kindness, i love your reactions!!! Your little frenchy fan. Emily, there is always a chair on a Madonna's concert!!!! 🎉
Bonsoir! Aww, thank you - You're always so sweet! ❤️❤️ "This is who i am.... you can like it or not.... the best advice!" Completely agree with you! We should all remember this advice. "Emily, there is always a chair on a Madonna's concert!!!! 🎉" 😂 You're right! And we're still stressed out about it every time. 😂 Biggest hugs and lots of love to you! ❤️
I really love this song, because 1) i love the way she ended the album Edith am acoustic guitar after a full Electronic album 2) the lyrics, an apologetic song just like her, I’m really excited to see you both on the last part of the show, please let us know what you think the first time you watch the concert and what you think now after seeing it again.
"I’m really excited to see you both on the last part of the show, please let us know what you think the first time you watch the concert and what you think now after seeing it again." We'll definitely talk about that more when we get to the end - Looking forward to it! Big hugs! ❤️❤️
Hey girls! How are you? Did you listen to the whole album Confessions On A Dance Floor? when they finish To see the Tour, you should listen to the only two songs that are not on the Confessions Tour, which are "How high" and "Push". I would have liked to listen to the entire album with you, and see your reactions. I like to hear their sensitivity and seriousness in their reactions. I love them. love from Argentina❤❤❤
Aww, thank you so much - You're very sweet! ❤️❤️ We listened to the entire album before the tour (since so many people recommended it). But we'll definitely share our thoughts on the album as well as the tour when we're finished (we're actually thinking of doing a YT live to talk about it). Sending lots of love to you in Argentina! ❤️
Well, you are right to have trepidation about chairs or stairs, which will in fact rear it’s ugly head later on in the journey, so you’ll be vindicated.😮😂😂😂😂
@ -I know what you mean,it won’t be until her Rebel Heart era, so there’s time to ready yourself.Take comfort in knowing,it’s not fall off the horse bad, if that’s a comfort.
Up close she may be small and petite, but her personality is larger than life and her confidence is absolutely mind-blowing.
Absolutely! ❤️❤️
A masterclass of solo performance.

Madonna and the chair.....it's epic! Beautiful. I love it when Madonna alone on the stage with a chair. Fills entire the stage. ❤
Exactly! ❤️❤️

❤️❤️
Madonna and her chair❤ Been loving it since the Live To Tell video🪑
Or Open your heart?😊
@Christian_Adonis1 Is that a question for me? Live To Tell was released before Open Your Heart and that was the first memory with a chair for me.
@ -I forgot for a sec that Live To Tell came out first( lol) not sure how,
The chair is an official part of our journey at this point 😂 ❤️❤️
@@OurAnxiousReactions 🤣 for sure.
