    Great video and love that you’re exploring coffee. For espresso, reducing as many variables as you can is super important. Measuring the input (coffee grounds) and the output (espresso) is key to dialing in. Volumetric or eyeballing the output is not consistent day to day or bean to bean.

    That was a pretty good primer on making espresso. Definitely way more variables than people realize. I wouldn’t have believed that changing extraction temperature just a few degrees made much of a difference, until I tried it for myself. :)

    Great Video, really breaks down the process and makes if feel much more approachable. I am hoping to get and espresso machine soon. this video has given me an Idea for a tool to go along side it. I am thinking of a machine that has a tamp on a leaver and an area to both hold the filter and measure the amount of force applied on it. This could remove uneven tamping, and allow for measurable and repeatable control of the pressure being applied.
