@@buckycharms5393 Archie becomes its own universe on issue 5, and in general deviates a lot from the cartoon. I don't know if it is easy to read if you don't have some level of Nostalgia for it, but it created a lot of the lore of the franchise.
So I guess that Baxter putting his brain in the robot body and attacking might be a reference to the body horror episode Insane in the membrane and you think that they should have brought in Agent Bishop here (we definitely need to talk about the IDW Agent Bishop) that was pretty on Nobody half.
The 2003 Baxter was heavily inspired by this one, but also added (for the first time) a proper backstory and motivation to the character that stayed with the franchise ever since. Agent Bishop debuted too late in this continuity, and he never got a second chance to even show his face. But I feel like D.A.R.P.A. was probably not the best agency for him (despite the alien experimentation thing, it seems like the Asteroidean wasn't really a prisoner there).

Volume 4 and Tales Volume 2. Also technically, most of the stuff in Volume 2 wasn't adapted into the show, and it's a little weird as this video kind of points out :p There are some canon issues in Volume 1 that weren't adapted either, but even the ones that were adapted had some changes. That's why the creation of Ch'rell gave the whole thing a different flavor.
IDW released most of the non-canon and volume 2. Since Mirage doesn't exist anymore, I think the idea of letting Peter finish Volume 4 through IDW was probably discussed. But who knows when Peter will be able to clear his mind and write the rest of the story. It is certainly not completely ruled out, and it is a story that only he can finish. Other authors could try, but Peter is a very hard author to emulate.
Damn, I was thinking of reading this but Vol 2 and 4 get all bonkers. Dunno if I'm interested in what they did to the turtles after City at War. What a shame.
I have to say that Volume 4 is more memorable than Volume 2. And generally speaking less rushed. The whole Utrom story in Volume 4 is actually pretty engaging. You can feel like it is something happening in real life.

But are you really satisfied with that "resolution"? It's definitely not what Jim had in mind here. The vision of Splinter dying could have been a metaphor for the Turtles abandoning him (and turning his back on him). It may have been a way of killing him off without actually doing it (after all, Kevin and Peter suggested the new writer at Image that he could kill the character if he needed to). And Donatello going to Chihaya didn't need to be about Splinter's death. None of the visions and dreams in this volume happened the way they were featured.
@The Turtle Nexus after all splinter in mirage was a bad father and selfishly sent them on a personal vendetta and neither splinter baxter shredder karai yoshi nagi and shen has the well deserved character development in mirage
Probably because Last Ronin sold well, and if it's just going to be one main character, then it is probably easier to make than with four. Just a guess.
Thanks for watching!
Volume 4 is coming soon (but cannot say exactly when it will come out).
What about the Archie comics? I wanna start too but there all the same as the 87 cartoon.

@@TheTurtleNexus thx dude
I never really knew alot about volume 2 because it was less accessible than volume 1, thanks for making a video on volume 2
The Mriage storyline really got wild
True they are but they are great
Excellent video. I hope Peter realizes he should finish volume 4. At least 2 more issues to wrap it up.
I think he mentioned once that he could wrap it up in a few issues. I just hope it's not super rushed like "Urban Legends."
Agree with you
I want an animated show based on the og turtles 😮
duuuuuude I beeeeen looooooking for weeeeeks for someone to put up a proper explanation of volume 2 all I can find is volume 1.
As a life long Turtles Fan and conspiracy theorist this looks like it'd be right up my ally.
I wonder if these issues inspired the fan comic MNT Gaiden
Thanks for video about this volume
Tales of the TMNT volume 2 shouldn't have been the main book. We got so many interesting stories and explanations
I want this guy to narrate my life
Excellent video, I am a young turtles fan and have not read volume 2 or volume 4
I'm a young TMNT fan, 15 years old, but I've read the Mirage turtles
These tmnt comics are amazing!!🥷🥷🥷🥷🐢🐢🐢🐢🍕🍕🍕🍕

We definitely need to talk about Nobody all versions,Tokka, Razhar and the Triceratons
Yes, I am just trying to figure out the format for these.

I wonder if Vol 4 will ever get finished?

I think I can guess what’s next: Volume 4 and then TMNT Odyssey, right? Please?
That is the sequence... but I will need some time to do them. They are coming soon, but not next week.
