Thank you. Awsome simpe video. My arm rest on a brand new axis motorhome just fell out. Watching your video and reading the comment allowed me to repair it. The pin fell out and wss jammed in the slot. A paper towel, tooth picks and needle nose pliers allowed me to retrieve it. Reinstalled and probobly better than new!! Lol
After watching the video I cut off the threaded portion of a hex stainless steel bolt and used the shaft to make the pin. Some Gorilla glue and it was good to go. I never would have figured out how to remove or install without this video. Thank you for making it.
Your video saved me a ton of time. My 1997 conversion Chevrolet express had the same issue. After I couldn't find the pin, either, I bought one and tried it. The arm wouldn't go down past half way... I took the passenger arm on, to see if the length of the replacement pin was off. The passenger arm was the same---half way. So, I took the seat cover off to see the mechanism and see what the problem was. The original pin was jammed in it! A quick smack with a hammer, and it was out. Thanks for your video!
I’ve been pushing and tugging on those seat armrests for months trying to figure out how they come off!!! Thanks so much. Took 20 secs after seeing your video.
Great video! Thanks for that. Just bought a 1988 G20 conversion van from California. One of the back seat arm rests came off. Now I know how to fix it.
For months Ive been messing with my chair arm. This video helped. Been watching ya'll for awhile I must have missed this video. Had to be when I moved to Alabama. Good excuse as any.
Thankyou for your information. I was able to fix mine after watching your video. I also have a quicker more viable fix that anyone can do themselves. The pin is a 3/8" pin. I was able to find a perfect fit after going to my local hardware store. I was thinking I could cut a clevis pin and epoxy it in the hole or even better I found a compression pin that was 3/8"x2". I cut it in half with a Sawzall and it worked perfectly. I drove it in the hole with a hammer till it seated all the way in and that's not coming out, ever. Took me a bit finagling it back in and it works perfect. I checked the other side and wouldn't you know that pin was missing as well. I used the other half and did the same thing and I have a new chair. All for $1.29. Thankyou for your video. I hope if you need to do it to the others that this will help you and anyone else that comes across this problem. I'm gonna get another compression pin and cut it so I'm ready when the other seat does the same thing. Literally took me 20 minutes cause I didn't know what to do to put it back in until I figured it out. I did the other side in 5 minutes. Goodluck.
Now you need to forget how to fix the armrests so Rebecca won't ask for hers back. Thanks for showing us how to remove them. I never thought to push in & rotate backwards.
I was referred to your channel for this video specifically. Great job and information. We had the same armrest pop off our motorhome and haven't found any good info on how to put it back on until now. Thanks for the video and hope to have mine back on in a couple of days.
Great video Ben and Rebecca (hope i spelled that correctly). Thanks for the info. I need to fix the armrest in my truck, and I can't wait to see if it works the same way. I'm sure you enjoyed your trip up CA 395. I drove it from Hesperia to Lake Tahoe. There are some great little towns near the California/ Nevada state lines.
that's what I'm trying to find. I can't seem to find the spot that actually lets the chair turn. Maybe mine just doesn't have one. but I'm not positive on where to even find where one would be.
I really like your chanel and like watching with my family. I am not really sure why you have to cuss as you do. I think that your subscribers will go higher if you refrain from those words.
Very smart thinking going to the machime shop. As for the executive decision.....I wouldn't of video taped it and I'm sure your wife would have never caught on. Now the she has the evidence...LOL

Good ole Nellie will get along just fine with these repairs. I must say I learn something new all the time.

I may not post on all your videos but I have watched them all. Wish I could give 2 thumbs up this video.Made me laugh.
Thank You so much i drive lots and lots of hours made my life a lot easyer
Glad I could help
Helpful hint on how to take the armrest of love that it was not buried to deep in the video.
I'm sure we all like your videos!!!
Great DIY repair Ben .
This was a big help to me, thanks for posting!😊
Thanks I was trying to figure out how to get them off to put on my new cheap seat covers. I never use them really dont need them in my Class C
I bought some knee high tube socks and installed them on my armrests. Saves on wear and tear and can be taken off and washed.
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
What size pin did he use. I would go off of the other one but the stationary pin is a larger pin. So what I need is the pin that was gone length wise.
Adding Armrest Rotations to the PM check list is a brilliant idea. Put it on the same interval as tire rotations and life be better all around :-)
Now you need to forget how to fix the armrests so Rebecca won't ask for hers back.

Hello. I'm glad the video was able to help you.
I hope you enjoy our channel.
Thanks for watching.
my wife just rolled her eyes at me with the whole "executive decision" comment...freaking hilarious. Great fix.
funny thing is if you did bring it to the upholstery guys, they wouldn't have a fix for this and you would probably of had to pay...good job.
I think there will be a LOT of eye rolling about the "executive decision" lol especially in 3 weeks or so.
This video just earned you a new subscriber. Priceless!
I hope it'll help me too
I love simple fixes like that. Way to go and thanks for sharing!
Good thinking on the armrest, that chair would have been a pain to take apart👍🏻
You could’ve tried a magnet, and brought the pin back up when you could get a hold of it
Great job ... thank you!
Did you try a magnet?
Great video Ben and Rebecca (hope i spelled that correctly). Thanks for the info. I need to fix the armrest in my truck, and I can't wait to see if it works the same way. I'm sure you enjoyed your trip up CA 395. I drove it from Hesperia to Lake Tahoe. There are some great little towns near the California/ Nevada state lines.
Did you think of running a magnetic around the upholstery
For me the pin was right under the slot where it goes in. Using thin needle nose pliers I was able to remove it.
I love the "weld the pin" idea. Both of mine are loose. Would like to find somewhere to purchase the pin.
Thanks. A metal shop could easily fabricate the pin.
@@outliersoverland Found some on Amazon, 3/8 x 1", (10 in a bag) $9.
3/8"x2" compression pin. Cut it in half. Works perfect. Drive it in with a hammer till it is seated. Don't need any welds or glue.
This helped my a bunch. Thanks!
You’re welcome. It’s surprisingly easy!!!
Gotta do the same on my E150. Many thanks.
glad it helped.
You can buy a roll pin at the Iocal hardware shop for about a dollar
Thanks alot
Could you put an armrest like this on a golf cart ?
Technically anything is possible….
❤ your video's 👍, doing great ben, and i am with you Rebecca broke it 😁😁😁😆😆

Way to go Ben!

I wish I can fix things like you thanks.
Excellent!! Job well down. I don't think Rebecca will even notice. LOL :)
I have a 1996 Allegro, I can't seem to turn the drivers seat, any ideas?
that's what I'm trying to find. I can't seem to find the spot that actually lets the chair turn. Maybe mine just doesn't have one. but I'm not positive on where to even find where one would be.
I’m in San Diego as well and I might need to visit the shop you took your arm rest to. Do you mind sharing name of co?
I can’t remember the name, but it was on Federal across from college grove.
Any welder could probably do this.
The Captain of The Ship needs to be Happy behind the wheel
LOL...."I didn't break the armrest".....I knew that was coming.
Enjoyed the video, got a question. How long does the new pin extrude from the existing pin! Thanks!
Lol! Love the drama ! Rebecca I believe you!
His and Hers Vlogs you two remind me of us😆! I get it.

Subbed funny video
I though about JB Weld but opted to get a real weld.
Thanks

Dowel pin at hardware store, .25 cents
Bet that he pin is lying on the floor under the seat.
Very smart thinking going to the machime shop. As for the executive decision.....I wouldn't of video taped it and I'm sure your wife would have never caught on. Now the she has the evidence...LOL
