8 years ago, huh? Thankfully some things stay on TH-cam seemingly for ever! Thanks for uploading this super simple instruction. It sure beats using an oxy torch! Mine have the slide release in one arm and the rotary lock release in the other but they're easy to work out. Thanks again.
Thank you for this video! I have a 94 Fleetwood Flair. I'm reupholstering the cloth captain's chairs with my total remodel. I have a problem with the driver's chair rubbing on the booth when swiveled. So I needed to alter the arm rest. This made it so much easier when sewing my new seat covers. I appreciate you sharing this content!
OMG THANK YOU! I was about to dismantle the entire chair. I when through EVERYTHING else first. I did this and I haven't gotten them out yet but it definitely does. This. It's a 1993 Chevy Vandura Captains chair. I bolted it to my floor for a sim rig I built. It's made for long trips so I figured it was the best seat in and WEC Racecar. Lol. But I'm short. The arm rests are all wrong. Your the MAN! THANK YOU
Thank you my friend for your advice on how to unlock my pontoon boat sidearm rest which became locked in the upright position somehow. A firm push inward along with a timely rotation returned it to normal operating condition. So simple...... Once you know how. I was very concerned about breaking it using undue force and not knowing how to release it. You made my day, thanks. Brian - Lake Talon Ontario
Your instructions worked for removing the arm rests. Now I’m ready to reinstall and am stuck! I can’t get the arm rest to catch back in. Does anyone have any hints for me?
+Vitian Robinson Ours were held on with a couple screws, once removed they pulled free from the seat and had a cable which linked the handle to the actual actuator in the seat. For our purposes we just left the cable attached.

Great, you removed it, so why does the title mention fixing it?
