Use rubberized paint on the fence panels (see Van Oaks video). Fill the voids on the edges of the columns with some wood filler or spackling. Rebar is better and easier to use as stakes.
Great advice. I will probably use wood filler for the gaps now. I agree about the rebar. That’s what we use for most of our tombstones. But the wooden dowels are cheaper, and came with the fence. So we will probably use them this year. Maybe I can stock up on more rebar throughout the rest of the year.
Just built mine this week, pro tip, dont be like me and pre paint everything than put it together. I just ended up scratching all the paint up when sliding them in the holes lol. Only thing I have not done yet is the Finials, I need at least 65 and no place local has them for cheap. my PVC peices were the 3/4 interior, 7/8 exterior.
