    I moved from Florida to Texas last year for a job and man that was a mistake. Visited Texas in the past for Holiday vacations and I thought this state actually did have the right idea about a lot of things.... and then I lived here.... and realized that that wasn't exactly the case; proudly saying I'm moving to Clearwater Florida in March and good God it already feels like a long time coming residing in this place. If you're from Texas you definitely love it and if you're not odds are you're going to want to make some changes to the locations in your life ➡️

    That does make sense! I've heard great things about Arizona. And let me teeeeeell you. Dry heat is soooo much better than HUMIDITY. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Cuz humidity is the DEVIL. 🥵🥵

    When you mentioned the heat, my first thought was South Florida then I remembered the chaos over here then said okay maybe Arizona ? Checked the comments and was correct after the second guess ! I can relate to you Bianca because I love South Florida and that's home to me. Unfortunately, I don't see myself living anywhere since I've grew up there and I would've been home sick. Definitely go where you feel is home to you. Praying that God continue to lead you both but it's a blessing that your husband was able to recognize your discomfort and wanted to make sure the both of you are happy. Wishing safe travels.

    When you said it’s hot and there are mountains I knew Arizona! Yaaaaa I’m so happy for you I think you will love it.
    I retired there in 2018 in Mesa area and I loved it. I only lived there for one year, and now I’m in Florida. The difference between the two states is although the temps in Arizona can get into the 3-digits there is no humidity but where there is high humidity you are hotter and breathing is a challenge.
    The people are nicer there than in Florida and I found some good churches there as well. Growing a garden is a challenge so do your research, you may have to do a raised bed garden that’s what most people have. You will also learn to carry a water bottle with you whenever you leave the house, a good habit to have that I have maintained here in Florida.
    My prayers are with you, for your move and adjustment.
    Oh and find a church that has the “MOP” (moms of preschoolers)program you will meet other mothers of like mindedness 🙏🏽❤️🥰💐

      @themassarofamily  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, thanks so much for your advice! I should def make it a habit with bringing a water bottle everywhere. And once we buy our home, I'll probably go for a greenhouse or raise garden beds. Can't wait. Thanks for watching and sharing!

    A place you don’t want to be home will never feel like home. I’ve lived outside of Texas before and couldn’t wait to get back. There’s way too many different landscapes here to ever be bored. So, if you really don’t want to be at home here, you won’t be. I’m from Corpus Christi and the coast is beautiful there. I’ve lived in Cali(Long Beach) and Nevada(Vegas) and drive through Arizona and many other states, but I’m a Texan, through and through and could never live anywhere else. So, have yourselves a blast. There’s going to be trials and tribulations everywhere you go. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink. I’ve lived here the majority of my life and have yet to see all there is to see here. Is Texas perfect? No, that’s not what I’m saying. No place on earth is perfect. But, it’s certainly not boring. It’s what you make of it. Truly.

    • @themassarofamily
      @themassarofamily  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Texas does have beautiful places, we've been blessed to visit a lot of Texas including Corpus Christi which was very nice but for me, it didn't feel like home, anywhere I went in Texas. Not bashing Texas, the people are great and you're right there's a lot to do depending on where you are but personally, I prefer more nature/scenery. Texas has some depending on where you are but just not what I was hoping for.

      Thank you! At least you didn’t go as far as a lady I saw on On Patrol Live. She’d been pulled over and told the officer that she’d just moved to Nevada from Texas because pretty women aren’t welcome here. If you’re pretty the women here don’t like you. I was thinking that I doubt her looks had anything to do with being disliked, that maybe her attitude was the problem. You can be the most beautiful person on the outside, but if your insides are ugly, you’ll have a hard time getting anyone to like you. Especially if you’re looking down on others because you “think” you’re better than them. All I could do was laugh at her. She was really trying to lay it on think with that officer. It seemed the officer was enjoying it, too. Folks like that need a come to Jesus meeting, for sure! Y’all travel safe and be sure to take the scenic route in your way. I much prefer driving and seeing the sites. As a kid, though, I had to settle on what my parents wanted. I didn’t have nice experiences in either place I lived outside of Texas. If fact, it was AWFUL! My twelfth birthday was spent shake, rattling and rolling in a 6.0 earthquake plus aftershocks! I had never been so terrified in my life. Before or since! Vegas wasn’t much better. Kids can be cruel, so I made sure to never move my daughter around while she was growing up. Not if I could help it. Moving is still one of my least favorite things to do. Once I married and settled had my daughter we only moved twice once while she was growing up. That was to get her into a safer area and school. I don’t envy the move, I do envy the drive, though. Wishing y’all many blessing to come. Make sure y’all have a pool, that was the best thing about moving to Vegas, almost our entire backyard was occupied by a gorgeous pool. A necessity in that dry heat! 🥵☀️

    No one ever said DFW was beautiful. West Texas, East Texas, The Hill County, and the Gulf Coast are beautiful. DFW was an engineering town back in the 1950s and 1960s. The inventions and patents created wealth and jobs. DFW has experienced massive population growth as a result.

    I'm originally from Seattle, WA I moved to Texas because I visited there, had family there and my mom moved there first. After I got there idk why but I stepped out into humidity and wanted to get right back on the plane to Washington state. I ended up residing there off and on for 9 years and now I moved back to the PNW...Arizona and Nevada were on the list anywhere West tbh I agree with you Mrs. Massaro it was not home. I tried for so long. Visited other places, have friends etc I actually became settled there but my heart wasn't there. It was for me. I don't like to say never but I definitely don't want to return for a while if ever. God's Plan is always different, however I'm much happier in the PNW than I ever was in Texas.

      It is very similar but with Arizona there's beautiful scenery and the heat is a tad better meaning you don't sweat like with Texas since it's more humidity. Here it feels more like a sauna with the dry heat. Regardless of Texas or Arizona, I'm staying indoors for the most part until summer is over lol.

      Dumbest thing I’ve read in a while, nobody actually wants to move to Texas it’s just cheaper, it is a complete armpit if you could choose to live in cali for the same price you wouldn’t hesitate for a second, so the issue always comes down to money. Texas for Texans gimme a break
