I have a M8 currently paired with this lens and I love the combination. The equivalent of 28mm focal length, the .5m near focus capability and the tiny form factor are the reasons I keep using it. Can’t wait to see your full review!!!
Thanks CJH, I can understand your love for this lens, Im falling too: so small, and the 0,5 minimal focus distance is something I never experience in my M8... And the IQ and build quality! Yes, a piece of cake 🙂
Perfect timing for me, Thank you. I made the mistake of selling my M9 and have been wandering in FujiLand for a couple of years. But today I bought an M8 and a 35mm f2.5 Color Skopar PII. I've also been thinking about what else would go good withe M8. Have to catch up on all your great videos.
Great! Enjoy your camera, there are many lenses out there. The Nokton 35 1.4 is very versatile, and not expensive. I also like the Elmarit 28, Summicron 50, Zeiss Sonnar 50... . ;-)
Hi Louis, I will do a review soon, but by now, I can tell you is a funny little lens, pleasant to use, extraordinary IQ and perfect for the M8. Remember there is no 28mm frame lines in the M8 viewfinder, but for me is not a problem. Because is a f4, you just need good light ;-)
Hi Hugo ! You made a very intresting purchase, congratulations ! I am sure that the quality of this Voigtländer lens is superb ! Bonus points are : It is a small lens + a light weight. I have a question : our Leica M8 has no frame selector lines for a 21mm lens. How did you manage that problem ? Did you use an InfraRed filter ? Anyway, your images are very beautiful ! For your info : I use the Voigtländer 35mm 1.4 Nokton II + an IR filter. Also a high quality lens. Greatings, take care, Roger ;-)
Hi Roger, I love my Norton 35 1.4. Is the most versatile lens I own. Is true, no 21mm frame lines (around 28 in the M8) But for now Im doing OK, using the complete window as a approximation. Not super precise, but it works well. Enough percussion for composition by now 🙂
@@myleicam8546 Does it work with the meter in the M8? My 21mm Super Angulon works on the M8 but the rear element protrudes into the camera so far it blocks the light path of the meter sensor so I must use a hand held meter.
Hi Tanel, is my first time with a 21mm. Is such a wide field of view! I attached them to the M9 (no crop, real 21mm) and is impressive. Enjoying a lot.
Welcome back, Hugo. Wishing you a better spring/summer to come. Enjoy the Skopar!
Thank you!! :-)

Nice! Good to have you back.

@@Rafa.R.R.G.G. Me alegro mucho Rafa. El 35 1.4 es lo más versátil que conozco, a un precio razonable ;-)

@@anthonymiller8979 in this case yes, it works well. At least I didn’t find any noticiable issues with light meter
