Loved this! I have the Leica super angelon 21mm f4 and it also has the purple fringe, didn’t know it was an easy Lightroom correction to fix. Subbed!

I've been so adamant that I wouldn't give in to Adobe's subscription based models but as I primarily edit on an iPad Pro now, Lightroom has so many features that alternatives do not. Selective editing with the Apple Pencil, the ability to process Fujifilm Raw files, and now the gradient filter is even more useful, particularly as there is no version of Cornerfix for iPadOS.

That lens is magic. Thanks for showing it to us internet strangers!

After considerable research, I settled on the Zeiss Biogon ZM 1:4.5/21mm. I need a lens with zero distortion and corner to corner sharpness. I use film and print in the darkroom, so a lens that is free of aberrations is essential. Priced at less than half the Leica with superb rendering, the Zeiss is a no brainer. (All my other lenses for the Leica cameras are Leitz/Leica)
Yes that 'Voigtlander' is small. I doesn't make sense to put a cheap hobby lens on an expensive Leica digital camera. But if it's just for walk around snapshots, ok. 👌

The Voightlander 21f4 Color Skopar is superb. I own three. Maybe the way you use it hampers your results.

Purchased one of these lenses and it gets delivered today. Can't wait to shoot with it on my M240.... Nice video...

    Nice video.
    In regards to DOF:
Don't buy a 21mm lens if you want shallow DOF!

Hi, great review. Is it worth to replace my Nikon 20mm f4 pre AI with this

If you just shoot outdoor, the Skopar is ok, but I shoot a lot of indoor so I've the Ultron 1,8. The Skopar is 500 GBP and the Ultron 975 GBP in DK, but for me the higher price is acceptable due my job as press photographer. The Leica 21/1,4 is 6.875 GBP, that's an awful load of money and on my wish list... my wish list is very long. To avoid purple frings I was told to set the lens detector on the 50/2,0 APO and the firma ware will remove the frings. The firm ware 2.0.6.0 is out, do you upgrade your 240 ?

For sure, if you need the additional light then there are much better options at a price! I haven’t tried that! Has to be worth a shot, I rarely ever use JPEGs and just stick a preset on my files to get rid of it. Might give this a go sometime!
Oh I agree the Leica lens, is definitely on the “one day” list!

This 21mm LTM is very good snap shot lens.

Has anyone had any experience with this lens on an M10? I'm struggling to find good references for this. I understand the f4's colour cast isn't an issue on the M10-R so I'm hopeful it won't be there on the M10 or will at least be less pronounced.

Apparently the f4 version is an older optical formula, whereas the 21mm f3.5 colour skopar is a more modern design which is optimised for digital. On an m240 i’d have recommended that. For the price of the f4 there’s also the Ttartisans 21 f1.5 too.

You are spot on! I have the chance to buy a barely used f4 for half the price of the f3.5 right now so I'm wondering whether I can live with the purple fringing. I shoit more B&W but it would be good to be able to use it in colour. I'm curious about what this is like on an M10 sensor as I hear it isn't present on the M10-R. The TTArtisan 21mm f1.5 is something I look at regularly purely because of price but the image quality and size lead me to conclude it isn't worth it every time I look. I also prefer the black f4 as opposed to the panda f3.5.
