    I almost want to buy another one. It felt like a fucking tank. lack of BT and that insanely stupid cupholder setup are two major impedements against a repeat buy. But the one I had was charcoal grey, with AMG 18 inch monoblocks. Rear electric sunshade...Wow. It was an amazing experience. Even in the worst kind of snow conditions, i had all seaslns on her and she only spun out in antarctic level blizzard conditions. Its smooth, secure and so plush. Its a wonder to drive. That double pane glass kept sound intrusion into the cabin at absolute minimum. People are stupified by sticker price of cars like this, but they have no idea how different and superior the entire driving experience actually is. America simply can't design and build cars of this calibre. There's no better choice as a crowd-pleasing and sub 200k saloon than an S Class sedan. Graduate further and go Coupe amd/or amg, then you have the same experience on overdrive. If I won a Dodge Challenger in a game show, Id sell it a d go buy a used Mercedes Benz

      You can put a Seicane head unit in it. Looking to buy a 220, owned a 203 way back, and that’s the first thing I would do.

      I don’t know much about these cars but I’ve heard enough to know that stuff goes bad a lot, and when it goes bad, it gets pricey
      I suggest doing LOTS of research before picking one of these up hahaha

    "Nothing's more expensive than a cheap Mercedes" a mechanic told me recently . . .

    • @emiloprisa
      @emiloprisa 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I got one of these (an S500 actually). I wouldn't say they are very expensive. You can do a lot of the maintenance yourself with watching a few TH-cam videos. If you take it to a dealership, of course they're going to rob you blind. But overall I would say with a bit of regular maintenance they are really nice cars and a joy to drive in. If you buy one for 2-3k and end up putting another 2-3k in it it's still the best car that 6k can buy you.

      That’s because he’s a mechanic and knows how much mechanics charge to repair and maintain them. That saying doesn’t apply if you do the work yourself. They are some of the best cars you can get for the money, and extremely affordable to own in that case. Most people aren’t capable or willing to do that, which is why they are too expensive for the average person to own in many cases.
