Great list. Dark Horse really has lived up to its name, with some absolute gems occasionally popping up. I don't read them too often but every once in a while, I'll pick up something from them that really catches my eye
I love these videos, you should do more, maybe for some smaller comic companies like Chaos Comics, Avatar Press, Dynamite Entertainment, etc, could be a top 25/50 or something.
Awesome list, Dark Horse has a lot of neat stuff. I need to check out more of their things, I've only done mostly surface-level stuff from them. Also manga on the list, I've read a fair share of series. While I'm not sure it would end up on your list, I'd check out Wandering Island by Kenji Tsuruta if you have not yet, which Dark Horse brought over a few years ago. It's a fun and very well-drawn series about a mail delivery girl following a mystery. It's not complete, but I don't think that really takes away from it.
@@comicbelief I was actually a manga reader before I got into comics. After about ten years of manga time there is still just so much out there that I have not read. Especially since over time it seems like more and more manga is coming out and more publishers are bringing over manga into the English market. If I were just going to limit myself to manga published by Dark Horse which were not in this video (and which I have read), I'd recommend the next ten: Wandering Island (mystery/atmosphere), Berserk (dark fantasy), Hellsing (vampire action), Drifters (fantasy action), Planetes (space sci-fi), Emanon (sci-fi), What's Michael (cat comedy), Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (procedural mystery), and the various HP Lovecraft manga adaptations by Gou Tanabe (cosmic horror); and also I don't think I'd really recommend it but an interesting read is Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles (informational food manga about ramen in Japan). I'm fairly certain all of these are currently available, be it in print or digital versions. And if you don't like them just move on. There's so much out there that you should not waste time if you don't care about it.
@@joki7610 Wow! Awesome list! I’ve just begun Berserk, for a friend’s recommendation. I still struggle with the order of the panels, but let’s see how far I get.
They are very uneven, but there’s definitely some great early stories. Aliens: Salvation is by Dave Gibbons and Mike Mignola, the artwork alone makes it worth it. Robocop vs Terminator is by a Frank Miller on the top of his game. It may not be among his most famous works, but it’s definitely worth a read.
I own the Dark Horse books: Hellboy Omnibus Vol 1 Seed of Destruction Hellboy Omnibus Vol 2 Strange Places Hellboy Omnibus Vol 3 The Wild Hunt Hellboy Omnibus Vol 4 Hellboy in Hell BPRD Omnibus Vol 1 BPRD Omnibus Vol 2 BPRD The Devil You Know Omnibus Young Hellboy The Hidden Lands
... I am actually disappointed they changed the original character design for hell boy in hell boy three let alone again in 4 to even lower quality... Hell boy 3 wouldn't have been a failure of they kept the same character design it was a good plot kinda and an original marvel design they should have not went with this cheesy plot and went with a multiverse with his other self like spider man .. or put him on the hunt for someone cool like spawn or frank castle .. or ghost rider ... Another good one would have been multiverse war with Khang .. hell boy fails to stop samiel in hell boy #1 then uses the golden army from #2 to fight them while the followers of the witch convince them that freeing the queen and hell boy taking the sword to gain power is the only way to defeat samiel when really it would doom the world and in a odd twist of fate the hero is actually Khang who is still master of reality and the flow of time ... And can't lose the world to hell boy and defeats him and resets time again .. possible hell boy could be working with the avengers while the planet is under attack and then after being tricked into gaining so much power and losing himself kills the avenger even to be defeated by Khang ... Sounds way better then this and would highlight both Khang and hells boys true powers .. and could even throw in the other darker charters like spawn castle and ghost rider with the avengers and the golden army .. my bad I didn't realize spawn and hell boy were not marvel owned characters but still they could get cool spin off movies if they worked together with ghost ride or castle or each other .. spawn and hell boy they would all make excellent team mates together.. all immune to the pendant gaze and hell broken charters .. if only dark horse could buy out ghost rider and castle and spawn .. they would be the greatest team of anti heros ever .... Ever .. with three being from hell itself and castle has killed everyone in the avengers .. but yet never makes an appearance. and ghost rider in alternative time line has the time stone and brings thanos to thanos lol 😅 .. they really haven't done much with ghost or castle .. being both cancelled on Netflix and by Disney .. maybe to come back .. punisher was good .. but rider tanked but .. maybe rider will get a new movie idk .. to much logistics for me lol I like all the charters and always wanted to see them together.. always wondered why I didn't I guess now I know ... 😢 If only would be a cool fan made anime collaboration. All the forces of hell with the avengers fighting to save the world to unleashed hell by accident only to be saved by a variant of Khang in a .. different multiverse where hell boy and spawn and ghost rider all exist all created threw spawns layers of hell and each rider spawn and hell boy come from different lvs of hell created by different hell lords of spawns dimension... That they all exist in as well as the multi verse.. with the hell boy spawn and rider being able to travel multiversal hells ... Being alioth like singular entities in the the universe John Constantine as well maybe with Lucifer perhaps... Idk how unless both marvel and hell boy realitys existed in the same multiverse with Khang already and some how when hell boy uses the sword unleashed hell and allows other multiversal hell singularitys to be brought to the hell unleashed .. where the have to fight with Khang to defeat hell boy and reset time and restore it to hell boy beating up monsters everyone else don't think exist still .. in a marvel universe.. where castle existed in every universe joins the FBI and hell boy in their version of earth and other hell entities can now openly travel to hell boys universe or he can travel to theirs to aid each other in the multiversal battle for heaven and hell .. with the avengers actually leaving a good Khang in control of their universe with out alioth but with hell boy as his entitie as their was only one Loki variant they never had one and their thanos defeated by Khang welding the time stone rather then strange in their universe thanos never gets it and dies to Khang saving the world twice he is noted as the most powerful avenger in his time due to his fight with hell boy with the other hell singular variants being after hell boy breaks the hell seal they can't rewind time without defeating him first . .. would be a interesting switch for the hell characters to be singular entities I. Their own multiverses that can actually travel to other hell entities universes meaning their is only the one of each of them and when you seen one together he traveled multiversal hell to help another hell entitie ... Not that every universe has one !

Dark Horse will always be my choice, cause they have soul of the pulps

Awesome!
Always wanted to get into Dark Horse
Big guy and rusty need a live action movie
Hellboy and Usagi Yojimbo are some of the best comics from Dark Horse
The massive and lord Baltimore deserve top ten

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been trying to read more manga, especially more recent series. It’s a glaring gap in my comic habits.

Buen video ☺ 🥰 👍 😉 👌 😎 ☺ 🥰 😈✊
Gracias ☺️
How was Frank Miller's Give Me Liberty not in your Top Ten?
Are the first and early Aliens/Terminator/Predators sage worth anything. I have them stored.

Hellboy Omnibus Vol 1 Seed of Destruction
Hellboy Omnibus Vol 2 Strange Places
Hellboy Omnibus Vol 3 The Wild Hunt
Hellboy Omnibus Vol 4 Hellboy in Hell
BPRD Omnibus Vol 1
BPRD Omnibus Vol 2
BPRD The Devil You Know Omnibus
Young Hellboy The Hidden Lands
I believe Alien's license is now with Marvel?
Since 2020. Predator as well. I forgot about that.
Cheval noir?
What about atlas 1994?
Would have had Conan by Busiek much higher
These are listed chronologically. The only indication of how good anything is in comparison to anything else is if something gets the "top 10" label.
