I think godlings are the closest to Japan's zashiki warashi in the sense that they are creatures who are always children. They are mischievous but if one is in good mood because of you, they will benefit you and do so willingly too! Of course one could argue that lubberkins are closer to that but lubberkins are more passively aiding your house
