I think they nerfed the charged r2 stance damage on messmers spear but messed up cause it does almost zero stance damage lol.

I say nerf it. Some people literally deprive themselves of the game by just running to the weapon then abusing it in things like pvp.

Messmers weapon is easily the most versatile in the game. Ranged, close up, and like a 20 hit combo for the weapon art which barely uses fp
I'd say the rellana one is a bit more versatile. Ranged projectiles, AoE fire that staggers. Fast hits imbued with fire and magic damage and allows for magic or faith spells to be used with it aswell.
Only if u could use it properly against bosses lol
@@cyberyaya8483 you can. The first attack of the weapon art comes out so fast and does anywhere from 2-4 thousand damage. The throwing attack i used to cheese the ancient dragon fucker before bayle and he wasnt even able to hit me. The normal attacks on their own do like 2 thousand damage for a jump attack in the shadow realm

@@firstorderblade4432 oh yeah I used it like that aswell and it works. I just meant the whole combo. Because it’s cool but also too long and no poise. The throwing attack just takes too long to throw the weapon idk. And ofc the weapon just feels slow. It would been really nice if it was a normal spear and not a great spear. But I get what u mean
My mimic tear soloed messemer with impenetrable thorns. I summoned him, dodged the 1st attack and ran over to summon the NPC and mimic sent us to phase 2 before I got to the summon sign

Mimic Tear is the true Elden Lord
I’ve never had any luck with mimic tear. Even at level 250+, the mimic simply doesn’t have enough health for me to ever use it. It gets rolled immediately.
I almost always use Black Knife Tiche. It stays away from attacks a lot, has the brutal blood knife throw thing, and attacks just enough to distract the enemy at times I really want it.
Mimic… has always gotten blown out within like 30 seconds. No matter what build I use.
@@logicaldude3611 if you set your mimic up with what ever the broken build he'll do it better than I can. I gave him nothing in his inventory to use other than thorn staff, mother staff and impenetrable thorns was the only spell I equipped

I put lion’s claw on the chicken leg…works quite well
try savage lions claw, you still get the og lions claw with an extra follow up if you press the button again.
The perfume bottle ash of war is for sure getting nerfed lol.

The ash of war will be nerfed but I always wanted to use a madness build and the bottles help a lot lol
I havent had a ton of experience with a lot of weapons in the dlc yet but i can definitely say so far the star lined sword (#8 or 9 i believe) is AMAZING. The ash of war does insane damage and youre also extremely evasive and hard to hit while using it. It staggers almost every single normal enemy but does have a tougher time stagger bosses (although definitely not impossible). Its base atack damage is also insane, definitely stronger than any katana in the base game.
My build in case anyones curious:
I pair this with the nagakiba, horn bow, & carian regal scepter.
Armor of your choice but i reccomend the ronin or white reed set.
Talismans: shard of alexander, dragoncrest greatshield talisman, claw talisman, and magic scorpion charm.
I was using Rellana for a while, on a very high level character, and what I found is that the weapon just doesn't have enough poise or poise damage, specially on the ashes of war. It made me swap over to the humble Milady, with the Winged Stance ash of war and a bleed infusion, using the Deflect crystal tear on my physik, and I never looked back.
I wish Rellana's L1 when dual wielding was a block to unlock that playstyle.
I just wish after holding the stance for a moment they get a magic and fire buff that stays on the weapon for a bit
How were you able to put bleed on the Milady im only able to do physical is there an item or something im missing to do it?
@@itzdrew8246 just choose the Bleed infusion. I'm using Winged Stance woth Bleed infusion.

I think Messmer's Assault makes up for the great spear's lackluster moveset.

The meteoric ore greatsword is busted imo, gap closer ashes are great for my playstyle lol, beat the final boss in a couple hours without summons with it

You can actually switch back-and-forth between the Sword of Darkness and Sword of Light in the same run and any upgrades count for both.
Ancient meteoric ore sword is in a solid place imo. I just respec for it and I love it. Rellanas twin blades are good too but could be better. Light greatsword moveset is so elite.
Does the fire atack for rellanas atack also scale with int or does it seperate like with other weapons

There's a weapon you can get after killing radahn after doing Thiollier's questline that inflicts eternal sleep. Do you know of anyway of making a build around it?

Wish there were more weapons and spells for some of this stuff. It’s hard to make a frost build or a madness build, or even poison or rot. But damn, they love those blood builds lol. You can make almost anything into a blood build.
Which NG+ level is this footage recorded at?
For me only big bonk bleed chicken legs and one shot bottle combo have to be nerfed, other weapon are decent but maybe up the others weapons is a better way to balance the game ?

If you own the sword of darkness you also own the sword of light. There are 2 pillars hidden in the game where you can go and change the swords from one to the other and it has unlimited uses.
How do you carry both sword of light and dark at the same time? Or is this NG+ ?
It’s not just the lightning perfume that’s op… any one of them can use that tech. In fact, most builds I see use the frenzied flame one because it has better scaling.
Love how the backhanded blades aren't in here, with the new ash of war that comes from the npc quest. Might not be too broken in pve but pvp those ashes and weapons kill it.
The only ones in this video that ACTUALLY overpowered and might get nerfed are 1) the shotgun effect of the perfume bottles(this definitely is getting a very well deserved nerf) and 2) the bloodloss on bloodfiends arm. For all the others there are just as good and better weapons in the base game. Also backhand blades have the best moveset in the game for humanoid enemies. They are top 10 for sure.
What's the build for the bottle and the bloodevil arm?
I expected the fire knights greatsword to be on this list. Godslayer greatsword r1 and zweihand poke r2
I now have m lady with frost bite and the new stand ash of war it does 104 frost scaling after 1 or 2 combo's i give almost every enemy frost bite i was surprised

Honestly, I ain't playing none of those builds, seems like only people with skill issues would play with such op builds(I will ignore the skill issue part if you play ng+7). Fingerprint greatshield against Radahn = zero skill. Beast claws and hand-to-hand all all the way.
Why is no one talking about the Smithscript Cirque weapon? Two handing it with Frost is absolutely ridiculous. Or you can set it up as a "Quality" weapon and it'll S SCALE to Dexterity.

Why is nobody paying attention to the Claws Of Night? Video is absolutely right about them, I'm absolutely shredding everything in the DLC with them, They're pretty incredible really, Favorite fist weapons in the game by far.
All I know is that no matter what they’ve invented in the DLC, I’m going to desperately miss Death Rancor once I move on from Death Mage build in my next NG+. Going back to melee for the next one, so we’ll see what I end up with.
Honestly I’m not feeling spear of the Impaler at all tbh. I’m finding it very mid.
The aow has very little hyper armor, and the second part has underwhelming tracking. The full combo has an animation that locks you into place making it less than safe, and even prevents you from riposting many enemies.
The charged r2 being a throw sounds nice, but it does very low damage and costs an unreasonable amount of stamina. You also don’t have a normal charged r2 for posture breaking, which really sucks for a large weapon.
It’s flashy, it’s cool, it *can* do a lot of damage, but the drawbacks overcompensate to the point of it being B tier for me.
Finally Claws of Night recognized 🗣️
Nothing really beats the rivers of blood or the nagakiba still…

Bloodfiend blood arm gotta get a nerf at some point. It’s insane. I went into Rellana at scadu 16 and beat her in 30 seconds with it.

I hate that they needed RoB. I don’t play pvp and to nerf something for those reasons really gets me.
Bloodfiend leg IS the best. I took it to the base game and enemies that gave me trouble I destroyed 1st try like nothing. And that was on new game+3. I destroyed consort Radahn with the thing. Ridiculous.
Greatsword of Damnation… my new favorite- deserves a look. And cmon guys- that perfume sh$t deserves a solid “rework” 👊👊👊

Maternal staff with 60int 60arc and impenetrable thorns. Easiest boss killer in the game and it’s looked across entirely 😂 the thing can quite easily make radahn a 45second brawl and that’s without talismans 😊
Dude i love madness but why does it not proc on regular enemies. Even if not as effective it would still make it useable in pve

No there’s no confirmation, this is just purely a logical(kinda) guess. And it’s good to note he’s speaking about them as optimal builds which makes nearly everything viable when done correctly…. imo I’d probably just go with the really broken ones getting nerfed such as,

Rolling sparks ash
Maybe the giant arm/club but probably just the bleed build up
Cant really think of much else off the top of my head, that’s outright in its own league only on my 3rd run.
But if you’re PvP assume more nerfs for that, possibly.
No and don't worry they're only broken in pvp and and any nerf will only affect that aspect pve will probably be left alone.

All people do in PvP from what I’ve seen is spam lighting and use to back stab blades and spam that move or wtv that weapon is called I’ve raged so much from people one shotting me with lightning I still don’t understand it😭

Rellana’s light greatswords are fun but they really aren’t that strong. The magic slashes do no damage. The weapon arts look cool but really aren’t anything crazy. I’ve used them extensively on a high level character and swapped off of them. A lot of weapons in the dlc are surprisingly pretty bad. Definitely need some balance changes. Obviously some need nerfed badly. More need buffed than nerfed.
The Rellana swords also chew through stamina and constantly bounce off walls. Not a big fan tbh.
Not a good idea to say that a nerf is incoming, fromsoft just released this , we dont need to tell them to nerf anything

If you’re referring to the 10% hp it takes off at the beginning, it’s always done that. Do you mean the dot damage afterward? If so then that’s a bug.
@someguy233 The problem is it heals them for that 10% when it goes away sometimes, so it'll take away that 10% and then it will heal them for like 15 or 20%

Channels like this that exploit all of the mechanics are why we get the Nerfs.
why nerf the rellana weapon when it take so much points just to make it viable, trying to make a build for that weapon on a 150 was a pain in the ass and it get out classed by every things, what need nerfing is those stupid ash of war that are impossible to stop or dodge, those need to be nerfed to death before all the noobs learn of them.

Chill😅 his videos are bait titles to get this interaction(no hate to the guy that’s called content) 😂 nerfs will be the actual broken things such as , thorns spell, rolling sparks, maybe the arms bleed build up other than that i can’t think of anything outright broken. Also good to note, everything else mentioned, he spoke about in the most optimal build, which most weapons will be broken if you done correctly. Eg banished halberd can melt radagon and beast with black flame tornado build but in reality it’s garbage in other situations….
I think the 150 meta will change for the DLC. You need to be above that in SOTE unless you want a challenge in my opinion. I agree with Rellana swords. I really tried to make it work but found myself swapping back to my death poker build on every boss fight pretty much. They need to buff that weapon for sure.

It is farmable. Just got it last night and destroyed end boss with it
