But when the people reported people that are acting like mental health.. they always say there’s nothing they can do..unless they did something serious before the police can take action…the police always wait until someone dead.. then they come and say if you see suspicious action into anyone reports it🤦🏽♀️

I've been say ing for years now that Jamaica does not pay attention or believe in mental health issues. If they should do a survey, there'd be so many people among us struggling with some type of mental health issues.
The fact that it was mentioned that the son was a nice guy also suggest that people in such predicament arent necessarily nice. There are so many misconceptions, but if it's not taken seriously, the majority of the population will be wiped out due to it

The Education Ministry needs to ascertain why these teachers are teaching without a license. How is arresting them helping. These are people whose services are needed. Punishment should be in stages.

Too many activities require a signature from the Justice of the peace. If I have an active driver's license and a TRN, why do I need a JP to sign documents to open a bank account? additionally, If I already have a bank account, Why do I need a signature from a JP in order to open another account at the same bank?

@@jamworldmusic on the contrary, It takes me 20 to 30 minutes to open an account in the US, I've been trying to open an account in Jamaica for over four years now on my annual trips. If I already went through all the processes to get a government issued ID and TRN, why do I have to travel all over town to get the same signatures on every transaction? It makes no sense and it drives my crazy when I see someone trying to defend silly arcane policies.

First of all if teachers not licensed then keep them out of the classroom until they are. No principal should have anyone on staff that’s not licensed. Jamaica isn’t short on teachers . It the teachers who are choosing where to go teach why it appears like there’s a shortage. Me personally not teaching in some neighborhoods. That’s my preference. Dutty bwoy dem know who I was and still rob me. Well that day was my last in that community. Too bad

I think Jamaica breed criminality because it would seem that decisions made by parliamentarians are always punitive with fines and or imprisonment. Yet, murderers and others in criminal activities punishments tend to be far more lenient. Seemingly, criminals get more breaks in the penal system than law abiding citizens. Woe unto those who make oppressive decrees because while you think you are untouchable, there is a God in heaven taking account. Teaching is an extremely difficult job and the salary is a joke. So, the bright sparks at the Ministry now wants to turn these under appreciated, underpaid professionals into criminals. I will bet my next pay check that there will be a cost attached to this so called 'registration'. Is the Minister of Education a teacher by profession? of course not, these people would not be caught dead in a profession that doesn't cater to their lavish lifestyles. Stop criminalizing people who are NOT criminals.

I go to St.Andrew Preparotory School and everybody is devastated classes finished early to help the staff greif they started crying in class. I know the murderer he was such a nice person. I also knew Mrs.Phyllis Ramsay ,she was such a nice person. They were a very nice family.I don't know what led Simeon to doing this.😔

No sons. daughters. sister or brother will even do this to me. Moreover. killing mothers, fathers, sisters'. brothers. uncles, aunties and your own little pickney isn't something new in Jamaica's sick society. There needs to be a clear and established path for persons with mental health issues to get the neccessary interventions before tragedies like this occur. The time is now for the relevant stakeholders to really address this issue.
