Clint I have to say your boys are a credit to you, they don't appear to fear hard or dirty work and they know how to deal with workplace humour. Theres many a kid and man out there that can't do any of that and will never know what a hard won wage is like, your boys will never be poor thanks to your guidance and the work ethics you teach them.
The plane that flew low overhead was a Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Very common and incredible plane used by the USAF and Coast Guard, among other sources. It’s also what Hurricane Hunters fly into the eye of hurricanes. Great video! Fun to see these projects of yours come together and head out the door to new lives with new owners. I’m not the most mechanical person, but watching you is teaching me so much and taking away the fear to try tackling some of these projects myself! Keep up the great work!
Side shift on the forklift would work as a power unit for the track press. Quick couplings on the hoses and you are good to go. My former employer used that trick to power a larger hydraulic cylinder. I am now retired. Always enjoy your videos.
Another great video and another piece of equipment that will survive for years to come. You and your crew do great work and put out awesome videos. Thanks for sharing!!
The plane that flew over was a C130 Hercules, here in Colorado Springs we have a reserve unit that fly them all the time..The sound of freedom when they fly over!
I have followed this project since the start Clint . Y'all have definitely come a long way with this little loader. Especially with the transmission and the undercarriage. I can't believe somebody neglected this machine like that. My grandfather's two operators , my uncle and my grandfather's best friend that he subcontracted for. all of them taught my grandfather what sealed and lubricated track was, When I was about 12 years old. He never looked back to dry chain after that. I was glad to see that because up until that point he used dry chain. I remember having to hold the railroad hammer so my grandfather or my uncle or some of their help would swing a 20 lb sledge hammer at that railroad hammer driving Master pin out. When they went to using SALT type rails with the alligator clips I thought I was in heaven especially when I got to be about 15 years old. Because by then I didn't have to swing that sledgehammer near as much when doing undercarriage work. Y'all keep up the good work bud. Mack
Many years ago I worked in the underground coal mining industry, we had some crawler equipment underground for loading out coal. If we needed to split a track we would use what we called a "Copper Hammer" this was a 2 inch piece of dynamite with an electric detonator, some grease and a bag of stone dust strategically placed over the pin. we would the move to a safe spot and connect the blasting battery... BOOM and the pin was out, never to be seen again. Completely illegal of course but it did the job and saved hours slogging the pin with a 14lb hammer and a drift.
The aircraft was a USAF C-130. I enjoy your channel as I have a D-6c and just one more thing , You might use a rosebud on the torch and then Shock the bolt with Cold water and that will help shock the Rust, have to do it several times( a machine shop showed me this method). Best of luck in 2023
Clint. And Keven I really appreciate the effort restoring these old projects, Kudos to your team. I spent a lot of my youth working with my dad in his machine shop fabricating items for equipment. It was a time in my life that I cherish now he’s been gone the past 5 years. Keep up the progress on these projects!
The thing is that no one makes a track loader this size anymore and they really have their place. Had one for 25 years (450B) and I wish I still had it now. I think I could keep it busy in small places.
Lots of life left In that loader; great job by the youngsters. You keep working them your going to have to put them on the payroll and give them uniforms to work in.
Its great Seeing Your Boys working for what they want. Thats how I was taught. And I work for everything I own...Its going to be a Good Tractor.. Great Video Clint. .
8/23/22. Just watching rebuild of both 5 roller/tensioner asmblys on JD 455. All stuff..lots of air power tools 🔧 fork lifting/HDjacks/shemming new tension rollers (#'s, raised cast lettering/oil lube holes & writing face out)/track master link & travel direction (forward) corrected. Clinton you are holding Master level class on 'dozer' undercarriage rebuild for your son's & us YT viewers! Another great video! Stay safe & carry on sir!🛠⚙👍👍👍💪🙂🍺
Always trust what is between your ears before trusting a mechanical device. Meaning limited time or walking under a suspended load, avoid points, assume something is going to break or fail, always have a pathway or escape or two. Great video with the next generation getting great knowledge.
Thanks Clinton, you and Kevin are an awesome team. @ about Time stamp 5:34 onward I noticed you had that nice young fellow Mason pumping your ITR pin remover standing backwards to the pump and holding the pump handle about a foot below where the dang pump handle grip is. I know you're a caring Father with your sons so I figured you must be helping Mason build up his upper body strength for the school football team or something. That's when I noticed Kevin smiling and Tucker and Hunter standing back and watching? Somethings fishy in Denmark Bub.
Great job boys. You boys will come to appreciate the work later in life. Most kids would love to be able to work on and drive heavy equipment. Thank you for my weekly dose of Kevin. Love the videos. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy watching your work being done on these machines such professionalism do you find machines for people and make sure they’re in good shape if they tell you what they’re looking for
If I were a younger man I would beg to work in your shop it’s just nice when things are organized and you got a whole team does things right totally awesome
Another great rebuild .Your boys are doing great getting more hands on experience, Kevin maybe not so much(ha,ha) You all do a really great job ,Keep up the good work and stay safe.
You need to put those boys of yours on the payroll. I get it, I didn't get a dime either. However, I did not know it at the time but what I received were the values of hard work and good work ethics that have taken me farther in life than a few dollars. These things are rare today. Good work Clint.
Greetings from Central NH Lakes Region - Sexxxy piece of iron! Great job bring it back to life. These older units are so great because they are pre-computer and emissions, much easier and cheaper to operate over the years. I just love these older 455s because they are so versatile and nimble. PS- I think Kevin should be getting a check this week!
Clinton you're a bad dude with that oxy lance!!! I gotta have me one of those. Awesome video as usual love to see you and your boys get after it. Stay safe and keep'em coming!!!
Great video on another great project! I did the same undercarriage job on my Case 855c a few years ago, and sure could have used great the help you've got! Will agree with many, lubricated rails with the alligator fasteners are the best way to go! Waiting on the next video. 👍
I know you may not like the mess because of all the dirt but I absolutely have excellent results by heating red hot with a rose bud torch and quench with water . I works almost 100% of the time for breaking bolts or nuts loose
As far as I'm concerned I'd rather watch your videos more than anyone else trying to do the same thing you do. Most people have no clue as to what it takes to be a heavy equipment mechanic. You do an excellent job showing your boys the ropes If they can put up with the smashed fingers sore backs hitting their heads on things fighting stubborn jobs they may follow in your field LOL
Why not power wash the machine before the rebuild work begins. It would also seem to be a benefit to wire brush the mating surfaces of the parts for a better fit. Interested in your response.
One thing that might help the rebuild of frames and sort of rusty frames - a CO2 Spray blast machine. Just like sand blast or corn cob Just CO2 pellets. Vaporizes a lot of the junk. Does fantastic job of clearing off junk to metal. Doesn't cut metal.
I wish we had one of those presses to press those master pins in and out. That would have saved me and my coworkers from multiple surgeries of having pieces of hammers or track pins removed. I spent two years doing track work every day. We would weld up idlers, rebuilt top and bottom rollers and had two track presses to turn or replace pin and bushings. Hard dirty work I enjoyed when I was in my mid twenties. You should use one of the Unimogs as a power pack for your track pin press. I’m glad you caught the backwards tracks since that is always embarrassing when you put them on the wrong direction.
I believe you're right, that parts-dozer's canopy you got looks to be same as the loader's canopy I was inquiring about. I also need a 455G 4045T oil pan. Oh and a fuel tank
Lockheed C-130 Clinton Thanks for another GREAT 455 video. Love, love love these machines. Love to see some Cat 931,935,939, 951,953,955 videos, but you have to find them, and be a good enough investment to be able to make good money from before we can ever see them. Ha Ha... Thanks for filming and posting.
I am proud of your boys! They probably know more about engines 9and builds than 99% of teens their ages! Good job,Dad!
Good pop talk to them not down to them man to man learned a lot from pop grand dad 😎 cool
Hi great job
"Work fascinates me, I can sit here and watch it for 43 minutes and forty one seconds, any time" !
Thumbs up , absolutely!
Thanks
It takes a special kind of team to take the time and effort to restore these old machines and get them back in the game. Keep up the good work!
Clint I have to say your boys are a credit to you, they don't appear to fear hard or dirty work and they know how to deal with workplace humour.

Very true
A pleasure to watch you guys working and nice to see the next generation getting into it
General rule of thumb on seals and bearings "When in doubt numbers go out."
looks like that works on rollers as well.
Hunter will grow up to be one hell of a mechanic you can just tell by the way he operates great kid

'Ol Spooky in the racetrack would turn C&C Equipment into a crater!
We will be here!
Side shift on the forklift would work as a power unit for the track press. Quick couplings on the hoses and you are good to go. My former employer used that trick to power a larger hydraulic cylinder. I am now retired. Always enjoy your videos.
was thinking about a skid steer with some quick connect fittings... but I like your idea
It doesn’t put out enough pressure
Press operates up to 10,000psi
Another good job, could not see anything to complain about!
Another great video and another piece of equipment that will survive for years to come. You and your crew do great work and put out awesome videos. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching

You ARE a machinery magician.
Why does Mason look like he's the only one doing any work there?, (poor little feller), lol, great job guys, and thanks for sharing.
2👍's up C&C E thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
@@C_CEQUIPMENT your welcome 😁
Those boys are actually learning so that they can do out in the real world after high school.
For such an abused machine it has turned out pretty nice!! Great vid!! Thanks!

For sure I used to help my dad with them back when I was young
@@C_CEQUIPMENT great job on the John Deere
Poor ol Clints blue shirt right shoulder was ripped Lololo Great to see you guys doing what you do so well 👍🇺🇸 Love how you work!
COOL CHAIN BUSTER
It was crew level maintenance to break track on the M-1 Abrams tank. I always enjoyed knowing they did that instead of me.
The 455 puzzle...take a bunch of new parts, throw them and bingo we have a new undercarriage. Well done C&C gang
Exactly
Nice to watch people who know what they are doing, the tools to do it with and a nice place to work. Thanks for the series.
Thanks for watching

I do say some of them things just go together with other parts and work darn good nicely done again great video 👍😎🇺🇸NY
The thing is that no one makes a track loader this size anymore and they really have their place. Had one for 25 years (450B) and I wish I still had it now. I think I could keep it busy in small places.
All those new parts please get Kevin to paint it o and when Kevin’s there paint mikes bib a dub?
Great video and how great is it to work side by side with your boys oh and Kevin stay safe 😁👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Lots of life left In that loader; great job by the youngsters. You keep working them your going to have to put them on the payroll and give them uniforms to work in.
Great videos, love seeing the boys participating!
You all have way too much fun at work. Reminds me of the days working with my friends on their dairy farm. Thanks very much for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Looked like a C130, you got to be real proud of those boys, a rare sight these days!!
Thanks
Its great Seeing Your Boys working for what they want. Thats how I was taught. And I work for everything I own...Its going to be a Good Tractor.. Great Video Clint. .

Enjoyed the rebuild Clint. Kevin, you and the boys made a good team. Hope Kevin got a paycheck... Thanks for sharing.

Like so many jobs having the correct tools and the experience to use then really make the job!
Clint always interesting watching you and your crew working on the heavy iron.

awesome track press great Video love it guys 👍👍
Thanks
Clinton great video thanks for showing what it takes to rebuild this piece of equipment! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
30:16 smart is knowing a little hand pressure can help control the track. Wise is knowing that flat handing it keeps all the fingers.
I really enjoy watching your work being done on these machines such professionalism do you find machines for people and make sure they’re in good shape if they tell you what they’re looking for

Well Clinton, she ain't a silk purse but you guys did your usual fine job and made a serviceable unit out of it anyway.......Well Done.
i will always give a good thumbs up on a good little track loader. Will make somebody a hell of a little thorn tree getter.
Matt from Diesel creek sent me. Thanks for the Hummer top. That's a nice rebuild. 👌

Such a great machine, and the kids are so lucky to learn from you.. and even Kevin...

Lol
Great job Clinton, Kevin and the boys. Having fun and making a great videos

Another one repaired and ready to make someone a good reliable machine to use.
Power pack for the pin tool makes it so much easier. We used Porta power 220V unit works great on Airliners.
Clinton you're a bad dude with that oxy lance!!! I gotta have me one of those. Awesome video as usual love to see you and your boys get after it. Stay safe and keep'em coming!!!

It’s got that “New Undercarriage Smell”.
you guys are awesome!!!
You've got a lovely shop, a great crew and impressive operation. Thank you from London UK

The press uses up to 10,000psi so not much motorized equipment would have the pressure
C-130, A Four Prop-Engine Cargo Plane! Used by all US Services, except maybe Space Force!
I believe you're right, that parts-dozer's canopy you got looks to be same as the loader's canopy I was inquiring about.
I also need a 455G 4045T oil pan. Oh and a fuel tank
iv seen some big presses befor but never that big sure works nice. fun job and a good time. thanks guys. cheers.
Kevin plenty of work in outback Australia we even supply free snake repellent 🦘👍
Amazing reconstruct. Very impressive!!
deere 455g old crawler loader definitely a lot of work. it cool .
Just have to be a visit from the paint fairy.
