Ah the golden age of Pixar -- when they animated entire blooper reels for the end of the movie 😂
The first Pixar with bloopers too
I still think Bug's Life is WAY better then DreamWorks 'Antz' 👍🐜 I have send a letter to Pixar last week about Bug's Life still is my favorite they made.
Yeah I miss those!! It made it feel that the characters are actually actors/actresses
Indeed those were good times
@@thegabe7548 I didn’t need to know that
The scary part about Hopper is that he understood the concept of intimidation an fear and used it against a bigger number of people, imagine if he was some sort of dictator or Roman legionnaire instead of a mere grasshopper
He kinda reminds me of Dr Robotnik from SatAM
No, the scary part about Hopper is that he’s played by Kevin Spacey.
He’s America against any minority group
That is literally any real life dictator.
One of the best Pixar villains in my opinion
It still amazes me how they managed to make that bird feel terrifying while not making him grotesque in any way, it's a cute little bird but it is still a horrifying monster.
A bird to them is like a dragon to us. A virtually unstoppable apex predator.
Alternate film title: “Oppression: Bug Edition”.
Hopper is such a great villain. He's 100% right. He understands control and power and how to keep it. It's scary when you put humans in place of the grasshoppers and ants, because this has literally happened repeatedly throughout our history and continues to happen to this day.
Yes, I remember saw a video about the Disney villains who had right (it's in french) and he's pne of them
When Molt (Hopper's brother) said "And the birds eat the grasshoppers," at the beginning,
It was then he became the MVP of the entire film. 👑
Hey everyone! Thank you for watching my reaction to Bug's Life! See you on Monday for CARS 3! Again please stop commenting Movie Recommendations as I already have a long list so I will start deleting comments or not responding to them if they are just movie reaction requests. Thank you.
Hello!
I know u have a big list of movies to watch...but i suggest u watch rango Johnny Depp is the voice of it, its an underrated movie
Great Reaction Vid!
@@Yamatush14 I’m not taking suggestions sorry
Pls watch the movie Antz
It’s basically a ripoff of this movie that imo ended up still feeling unique and amazing
Fun fact: They actually created the sounds of the grasshoppers walking and moving by cracking raw crab and used little scritches of nails on a chalkboard for the twitch of their antennae. They were designed to even SOUND icky. XDD
7:10 I like the part when Dot says, "We drew one of you dying because our teacher said it would be more dramatic."
Heimlich became pale and sensitive
About Heimlich, it's a male or a female ? It's hard to know even in the french version
@@a.g.demada5263 I like to think of Heimlich as non binary

@@maurabewsmedia1688 it’s about a trio of witches who steal the lifeforce of children to keep themselves young.
My dad still enjoyed watching a bug’s life from Pixar. Including, finding Nemo.
I ship the Queen and Flik! 😊
@@seiya.power.awesome.inspire me too.
I really like A Bugs Life. Imo, this film is overlooked a lot and deserves more attention. I also like to point out that Hopper is one of my favorite Pixar villains, next to Ernesto from Coco. He really is a menacing character.
I agree.
As a kid in 98: This movie is cool!
As an adult: Wow, this movie is dark.
Fr, 2000’s kids movies hit different when you’re older
Okay so it has it's dark moments but I really liked it back when I was 15 and still do and as a 39 year old.
I haven't seen this movie in a long time... ah, the memories.
Me too. But, I still have the blu ray disc and 📀 combo pack from Disney movie rewards before the Disney movie insiders 2 years ago.
Neither have I.
@@nathancruz9172 This is the WORST Disney movie I've seen it's boring
@@nealsmall9316 I still enjoyed watching a bug’s life and antz.
Hopper is a shockingly effective and intimidating villain. He's fully aware of the advantage the ants have, but manages to keep them ignorant of it through intimidation. They're so afraid of him that they're numbers are completely forgotten despite how obvious it should be. I'll admit that I've never been the biggest fan of Bug's Life, but I love Hopper.
This movie always makes me cry whenever i watched it myself or saw others reacting to it. I was 4 yrs old when this movie was released. N my BELOVED late grandma was still there with me at that time. The reason i cried was bcoz this were the movie that i used to watch with her like most of the time as i LOVE this movie so much n it reminded me of her. I even called her The Queen coz at that time i just thought that she looked like her. Also coz she was the real life QUEEN for our family especially ME🥲 She sadly passed away in 2016 aft a long battle with cancer. So seeing u reacting to my childhood movie brought back so many sweet memories.(of me n my beloved QUEEN🥲) THNK U so much Mr Cody🙏
1:27 This is based on the behaviour of real ants, who navigate through scent trails led by other members of the colony. So if something gets in the way of the trail... they're screwed, and another ant has to lay another trail - a sort of detour, if you will - similar to how Mr. Soil guides the ants around the leaf.
Yes, I notice that because when I was a child, I liked observe them
Hopper is a great villain, cause he is smart.
i rewatched this not long ago and as a kid i never realized how good it was! i actually enjoyed myself! underrated for suuure
Cody is right, never and I mean NEVER piss off the elderly
They can be very sweet but y'all step back if they got angry lol
They got plenty of time experience to back up that badassery
Ever read Aesop’s Fables? This is the story of the Grasshopper and the Ant. Also a little inspiration from Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai
And probably The Three Amigos.
Fun fact: Heimlich was voiced by the late Pixar storyboard artist Joe Ranft. He also did Lenny (the Binoculars) in the first Toy Story, Wheezy in Toy Story 2, Jaques the Shrimp in Finding Nemo, and finally Red and the Peterbilt in Cars. Cars was dedicated in his memory.
He also co-directed Cars with John Lasseter. Imagine what a director Joe could have been if he didn't die.
Fun fact: P.T Flea voice actor is the same than Mack from Cars and Hamm from Toy Story: John Ratzenberger.
He’s in every Pixar movie.
Didn't he made a comment about that at the epilogue of cars about why they are using the same actor, ngl pretty funny
I mean, he's a pretty well known actor lol
And Mr Ray in Finding Nemo
He’s the Stan Lee of Pixar.
The two best scenes of the movie is where the fly flies toward the bug zapper "NO HARRY! DON'T LOOK AT THE LIGHT!". And then the part where the flies said, "Get off the stage, ya old hack!" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Pixar should really consider bringing this movie back with a sequel. It has been such a long time since this movie came out and it still hasn’t aged much. But considering this was one Pixar’s earliest films and thinking about how amazing their animation is now really makes me wish we could see this movie in the HD animation we get now. And they already brought back The Incredibles and Toy Story and Monsters Inc. wish a prequel. So I really think it is time for A Bug’s Life to be revived these days.
This is my number one favorite Pixar movie of all time not because it was made the year I was born in (1998), but the cast was perfectly picked and the story plot, especially what Hopper’s real intentions were to use the ants for, was excellent and I can’t get over the music score. And yes, in my opinion, out of all the Pixar villains, Hopper is the best intimidating villain.
Hopper's evil chuckle in the bloopers when Slim gets berry juice in his eye kills me.
I think this one might be been the third Pixar movie i watched and it still holds up for me
This is literally my favorite Pixar movie ever!
I know A Bug's Life isn't the most popular of the Pixar movies with Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and Cars in the mix but it's personally one of my favorites. It's such a classic.
Moral of the story/movie: There is always a bigger predator
What an awesome reaction video, and I like to say that I loved A Bug's Life when I was kids, with every new Pixar movies comes out Bug's Life remain as my all time favorite.
How does someone grow up without watching Bug's Life? I mean, this is one of the part of being a child, free time to watch child movies. I'm 24, and watched a lot of Disney vhs in my childhood.
5:50 Slick: OW AHH!! HEY I SAID NO SALT😠🧂!!
😂😂😂😂
3:43 - My dad had to take me out of the theater when I was really young, because this scene scared me. I honestly don't remember anything else, that was one of my earliest memories. I don't know if we finished or not.
1:30 Ants are extremely social animals, and rely on their antenna to sense out the pheromone trail left by other ants to know where to go. He's panicking because the leaf cut him off from the pheromone trail.
That's also why he didn't want to go around the leaf, because it's brand new ground with no pheromones.
Wow I didn't know that
omg, i loved this movie when i was a kid, i remember watching this movie so many times 🥰
Did u get nightmares of hopper?
@@shiningcrystal9259 no lol
Bugs Life. The first Pixar movie where they had to rewrite their animation software and rebuild the hardware to handle more then 20 something characters on screen at once.
Just watching this for the tenth time this week and i realized how much i like the circus bugs. Especially rosie
The Mad grasshopper was a legit childhood nightmare of mine.
I can relate, he freaked me out so much you have no idea
17:49 it was at this moment he knew, he stuffed up!
Hopper's death was the brief moment this Pixar movie turned into a horror film
It's a pity they don't add these bloopers to their movies anymore.
Ikr? I bet it takes a while to make them, though.
I watched this movie A LOT as a kid! I love it so much!
Also, I really like the bloopers at the end of the movie (so sad they don't do them anymore)
One of THE most memorable movies of my childhood!
To me when atta reversed what hopper said. That is when she truly earned that title for queen atta
this movie always reminds me of "Strange Magic" which will always be my favorite
this is one of my favorite Disney movies! I love the message and the characters, especially Flick, are just adorable. great reaction!

“TWEET TWEET! TWEET TWEET!”
Forget binge-watching shows and movies, I will spend my entire Saturday binge-watching Cody react to the movies I grew up on.
This movie was one of my favorites as a kid, and I love watching it still now! I’m so happy you finally got to see it!
You know, after watching all these pixar movies again I have to say this one is my favourite, even though I used to think toy story 2 was. I love the story in particular, it just hits the right spot, and how they did such a good job at portraying the insect world.
This was the first movie I saw in theatres being 2 when it came out,, my number one Pixar film forever for sure
I just realize something weird : what make Atta and her sister part of the royalty ? Because in real life the queen is the mother of all the ants of the colony
Queens are special borns. Yes a queen is the mother of almost all the ants but they do give birth to other queens as well, after the new queens are no longer larva they are usually kicked out of the colony to fend for themselves until they find another ant to breed with and start their own colony. Otherwise the new queen will rally the ants to eat the old queen (saw it on animal planet, it was the entire life cycle of ant colonies)
I ship Atta and Flik!😁
Some of these grasshoppers are actually locusts. None of them are green like most traditional grasshoppers, and they are more aggressive and swarming.
My top 10 movies I like to see you react someday
1. Monsters, Inc.
2. Lilo and Stitch
3. Ratatouille
4. Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius
5. Monsters University
6. The Emperor's New Groove

Love this movie, watched it all the time as a kid
Yesss, time to sit and watch with Cody! I can't wait to see what else you got comin!

This was a favorite from my childhood! Thanks for reacting to it.
Another underappreciated from Disney is Disney's Dinosaur.
Gonna be a great reaction as always. Just seen you’re at over 16k subscribers now wow well done Cody you deserve every single one of them ❤️
Hocus Pocus (1993) Full Movie what’s movie name description
It's not a Pixar film but I think you'd love "Strange Magic" by Lucasfilm. It's basically a musical movie.
The “feral” grasshopper is actually a locust. When grasshoppers become overcrowded, their serotonin levels go haywire and basically transforms them, making them more aggressive and even changing their colouration. Pretty unsettling stuff if you ask me 😅
2:35 lmao great cut off 💀💀💀
I haven't seen this movie in years and just got nostalgia
I love this movie when i was growing up this was my childhood all the part was is still awesome and funny and i even sometime act and memorize the lines
And i love your reaction during this movie and including your reaction to the the bird part
And i wish there was another sequel to the bug life movie
You ain’t the only one wishing for a sequel to this awesome movie
2:40 ur bout to get hurt flik lol
This movie made me fear bugs at a young age XD especially grasshoppers
My worst experience with grasshoppers was being in a park with a bunch of them that were like 8 inches long... they were huge! 😱
One of my favourite things about Pixar movies is playing ‘listen for John Ratzenberger’👌🏻👌🏻♥️

Heimlich is the secret gem of the Pixar world
This is absolutely one of my favorite Pixar films!
I think it’s decent but far from Coco, Soul or inside out
Cody: what kind of butterfly is that?
Me: a fat one
Thank u for the reaction. I used to watch this movie a lot. I remember eating flan while laying on the couch watching it when I was a kid 😄 I hope "The Hot Chick" is on your list 😊 anyway thanks again !

I just love A Bug's Life!! 😍🥰
A Bugs life is one of those films from Pixar that deserve more attention
I really like A Bug's Life, I find it pretty sad to see that this movie gets so much hate
the liar reveal part is pretty dumb though
It really doesn’t get any hate at all. It is more so forgotten instead
Cars trilogy is the hated Pixar work
A Bug's Life is just ignored
Pretty much.
Hopper: an intimidating and dangerous advisory
Captain J. Hook: a similar but is more of a hapless and bumbling fool (to be precise a codfish)
This movie is an underrated gem. Noice reaction Cody 👍
Kevin Spacey was such an awesome villain as hopper he really nailed that performance and for a grasshopper/ant movie he was scary
“Pretend it’s a seed okay?” 😢❤️
1:16 That just reminded me of Rango you should really watch that it’s great and completely underrated
U have slowly become my favorite youtuber
This was good Cody I really enjoyed it can’t wait for the next movie
Ants in this movie: ow I got slapped
Ants in real life: I ripped off my wing to prove myself worthy for your queen
The whole losing the line thing, is because ants follow the scent of the ants before them, the scent of their scouts as it were to find their way to the food then to home as I understand it, hence the panic in the beginning ;)
