Hey Merrick, great progress! After doing the 4 link on the Ranger and on the suburban, the bump stops on both setups had to go more towards the rear of the axle because the coilovers were mounted directly over the axle. I think you are going to have tons of strength where you mount the bumps just due to the box tube, put that crossmember out of the way so you get all of the travel! Great work and I like the editing that you have been putting into your videos!

I am gonna most likely mount the coils JK style behind the axle close to the caliper. They are gonna be angled back and should not come up all that far into the bed.

You will still have to worry about caster angles as that sets pinion angle but otherwise ya four links are an awesome suspension!

Since your going 4 link what are you going to do with the shackle flip and a bomb?

It's looking good. That plate is going to make that frame a beast. What are you doing with the three holes on the passenger side? You didn't put them on the drivers side. My ocd is showing.

Yea trust me it bugs me too. I decided they were unnecessary. Things is you never notice them when the truck is on

Everyone is going to be underneath that thing wanting to check it out, people will notice. It will continue to bug you. It's not to late to drill the holes, just slightly more difficult. IMO It will look way slicker with the holes finished.

It's looking good, but I'm a little confused as to the purpose of the plating? Why not run a thicker wall tube to get that strength you are looking for? I works and you have it all set up so no point in changing it, just curious to the thought process. Also the holds too plug weld ad alot of strength when bonding a plat to the outside to where you are not just relying on the weld to hold it but have a connection in the field which will limit the plates flex (not that it will have any) but structurally speaking is what I mean

I finished watching the video and noticed that you did put in holes and "plug" weld it in a way... looks good though. cant wait for the final product

Looks good! The welds are undercut but that frame is stout. Are you going to run the shocks up into the cab?

Yea there is no real way around it and I am gonna tie the hoops into the cage on the inside

Check out FabianFlorent on Instagram....there is a way around it. He home brews all of his stuff. Cantilever 4 link...there's footage on "I am Wally" TH-cam channel of him jumping the crap out of it. He definitely thinks outside of the box.

I actually wanna tie it up inside. It isn’t really gonna come up that high, about 9 inches and it will be behind the passenger rear seat. I am gonna use it as a base to build some racks for the Milwaukee boxes I just got.
