To make it clear...this polisher would struggle on anything more than a one step or enhancement. Would YOU try this?

The battery and charger costs more than the tool itself

If you need more power you can always use a 4ah xr battery or 8ah xr battery

Robust no, but for 1-step, wax, or sealants this is a great CORDLESS tool for most anyone intent on caring for their own vehicles.

I think I watch every TH-cam detailing channel. You are the only one who takes them apart live and shows us the inner workings. I think you are unique and awesome. Well done Brian.
    Keep these reviews coming.
Best to you and your family.

I appreciate this video and your thorough breakdown of this polisher. For the price it is fine for someone who polishes their car once a year. For everyday use the sound was a bit crude and who knows if it lasts or not. Thank you for this video!

And thus, a free polisher. The real and best feature, cordless.

It's definitely a dyi type polisher. But for somebody who just wants to polisher twice yearly it would fit the bill.

Michigan here... great timing on the video.. was thinking of picking up a cordless da.. now I know more what to expect from the ones at a box store.. simple corrections or polish/waxing.. I think one could be a great benefit for my monthly waxing.. yeah... I like waxing over ceramics.. nice to spend time with my car.

This would be a great option for someone just getting their feet wet in detailing. The money saved would buy a decent selection of pads. Thanks as always.

got one of these maybe a year ago with the same deal with the battery set. I already used other kobalt tools and was pretty excited to be able to use a cordless polisher. But it ended up being a glorified wax buffer instead of anything useful for correction. After switching to ceramics, its been hanging on the garage wall for a while now.

@@apexdetail85 okay. I have the Bauer from HF(before it was called Bauer), and I like it. I just picked up the Ryobi and I like it as well. I am just a hobbyist and working on my own car and friends and family, and it seems good for those. Thanks for the information!

Hmmm....probably not. You know Brian we work hard. We need tools that work hard too. If im gonna go thru the process of polishing a car, i need better results. I understand its a good price, but ill spend more on a better polisher. Thanks for the great review.

Better than this is a second hand old Rupes...you change the motor brushes, put on some mechanism lube and you're good to go...on the other hand this polisher it's like throwing money away...

Its pretty much a 150$ polisher. Anytime you buy a polisher it comes with battery and charger. This just to makr you buy it.
