What I dislike about this anime is the Protagonist's personality. He is a psychotic magic maniac which is by itself could be interesting. But they put this past as a "nobody commoner killed by psychotic power elitist nobles because of him not having power", then him reincarnating to be a magic hungry psychotic power elitist noble being loved by everyone because he is a powerful noble. They don't need to put a backstory that doesnt give a purpose. The story will be the same without that first 3 minutes of the show.
@@ryuuraga1619 I agree. I think the politics definitely need some serious work. The fact that the protagonist can just accept or deny anything he wants at any given moment is pretty garbage to me, and him convincingly being able to get along with all parties (Demons, Martial Arts Users, Bandits, Royalty, Peasants) is a bit stupid. I get that isekai are meant to be redemptions of characters even socially and this is present throughout the genre but to make your story interesting there needs to be other factors involved. There needs to be other things that engage the viewer. Him just being a power hungry monster with 0 physical or social drawbacks (at like 7 years old) is mindless entertainment, but I don’t know how you can stretch a series like this.
@@Pickleton Yeah but what makes 7th prince good is the fact that even though it’s technically the same world by location, it’s a different world because of the experiences that follow Lloyd (the events also are not the same whatsoever) either way I think it’s semantics lol. Who really cares what 7th prince is? The point is that it’s a great anime that needs some work! It doesn’t really matter if it’s “not” an isekai down to the bone, I think it still appeals to that demographic and holds a lot of the principles that genre does, and would represent it if it came down to it
We get a lot of characterization from the villains in future arcs, about their motivations and such. My favorite arc is the alchemy arc because of the themes... Makes me tear up every time I reread it. "I'm perfect."
good take subbed. a great example of something similar to this is As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World. a great anime with a decent at best cast. much better than this one as you get their back story but its defiantly a "fast food anime" of anime.
1:20 people make shorthands. sometimes those shorthands are very funny. idk why but "have you watched smartphone?" will never not kill me when i see it in conversation. "have you seen the new season of slime" is also pretty funny.
@@asheshgupta4845 Yeah it’s pretty gross, and it’s not just character design. The way he’s portrayed sometimes is very very strange at time. I get it’s anime but like :/ cmon. You know what you were doing
@@MobbyChann I did. Nothing has changed. You only addressed the issue for 30 seconds and just went "Yeah, it is all good when you ignore all those. So I recommend you watch it."

What makes 7th Prince such a good Isekai is that it isn't an Isekai.
It's reincarnation in a fantasy setting which I guess is enough for some people
It’s an isekai by definition
@@MobbyChann Isekai means another world. This guy reincarnated into the same world. He even meets the man who killed him (at least in the manga).

I’m seriously excited to read. I’m most likely going to do a video on it sooner rather than later.

@@YoungMantv yeah it’s nothing top tier. Just something enjoyable to throw on.
Ahh yes 7th prince is good, all you have to to is ignore the incest and pedophilia
