You can tell they anticipated the reception of a new unit type might be controversial so they did it with a banner filled of Engage fan favorites. I started watching the video and the saw the dislikes ratio and wondered "wait, why though? People have been asking for these Engage characters" then saw the new unit type and it all clicked.
This is the first time in a long while that I feel attacked by IS for this banner having at least 2 characters I'm quite fond of--Reginn and Fogado--so soon after I just spent so much getting the new duo Fjorm 🤣 thank goodness Fogado at the least wil be in the normal pool for more chances for me later!
If you put Near Trace and Shadow Shift on Merrin she can theoretically reposition, take an action, then canto away and reposition again. Chrom should be able to as well.
Imagine all the Chrom shenanigans with this?? Or if infantries can utilize it imagine it on young Robin and Brave Robin? What about Felix since it doesn't count as a positioning skill therefore he can use the skill and still be able to do lone wolf shenanigans
@@nothingbasic8147 Timerra is a god-tier unit. She may not be top-tier in specifically combat; but combine the fact that she's very good in combat AND she has A LOT of great fodder on a unit that doesn't vabish on inheritance, she's probably THE most desirable unit to pull for in a good while.
As someone who plays a First-Person Shooter (Team Fortress 2), we do tend to prioritize fashion over fighting. But an Aide I would want is a Plushie magically following me around. Too bad that concept is stuck on Kiria, who is a TMS unit. And we all know how that goes.
I think fogado’s true role will be as a far save in sds with b!soren/impregnable. With curved shot and divine nectar support, i feel like he will survive a lot more than what people would expect. Not the best, but still a solid team option for sds

And since a!Reginn's canto repo doesn't count as such, she's going to be very popular very quickly for Summoner Duels.
Tbh the aided hero thing is good I mean it's made so u get a cute accesory prop not really the +1 to stats and it's kinda cool we don't always need the latest type unit to be a type that helps in combat and the meta. In fact it's kinda nice they did it that way ur not required to summon for it but if u do cause it's for cosmetics only ur pulling for the accesory u like. I'm glad they didn't make accessories combat centered and kept it for cosmetics only although really hope they give them the attuned and re armed treatment and allow them to equip x skills without having to lose their prf skill or special. But they really need to re think the name. 😭 Also I'm genuinely so excited for Merrin I love her and she looks so cool.
She will change the game if either it's stackable with itself, or stackable with more heroes recruited of the same type but different heroes entirely. Especially for units that want modified true stats to really get the most of their skills.
Shadow shift on DuoSharena? It doesn't say it limits it to 1 time per turn (iirc), and she can refresh her canto. I.e. repo, canto, repo, [repositioned unit attacks and refreshes Sharena], attack with Sharena, canto, repo, use duo skill, attack with Sharena, proc galeforce and attack with Sharena, canto, repo. It also doesn't count as an assist (for some reason??) So you can use it on Felix?
I was honestly hoping this would be 3H with Alois but as far as "not that" goes, it doesn't get much better. Merrin and Marni are two of my absolute favorites from Engage and I'll definitely be building Marni for Arena ASAP. A bit unfortunate that they come out right before Heidr's rerun (and right after 100 orbs on Braves didn't get me anything even with focus charge) but hey, that's what tickets are for, am I right? Aided Heroes might be the worst execution of any new Hero type. And it cracks me up bc I predicted they would be tied to accessories.
I assumed that the Mythic banner will be Hraesvelgr, where she will have Warp Ragnarok abilities like Celica and Shadow Shifter like Reginn. 😂 Celica + Reginn = Hraesvelgr 😋
Should be relatively similar since the requirement is just entering canto state. So she can canto back her 3 spaces or less after refreshing and bring an ally too. That is my theory at least.
Sadly, none of these units are as good as any of the edelgard units because they cant do 0 damage and then galeforce to do an additional 0 damage several times in a row. Also, theyre not midget waifus. Be sure to spread the gospel, Edelgard fans!

Thing is it’s mostly a downside for them to be Aides because they for some reason don’t go into the normal pool, so basically it’s ascended but worse

If Shadow Shift is also for Infantry, beware of the rise of Yuri. Foul Play one ally and reposit another with his canto afterward.

True his survivability is impressive cuz most peircing comes from specials but he’s a very direct counter to duo!fjorm

Fogado would be insane with Curved Shot, but he REALLY needed null guard.

Duo sharena gets way too much (including her canto and an extra action effect) from her prf c skill to replace it, in my opinion.
Her prf is where canto is at plus it's too valuable and good to replace

I think Fogado can be in tier 0 because he is the option for the tier 0 far save so you need to be more fair with him.
