      I've tried 4k - I hated it. I don't want a microscope to look at text.
      1440p is plenty enough in terms of day to day use.
      5k now? Fucking ridiculous. People need to look at this in terms of daily use, and no one ever looks at that.

    Kudos to Linus for being open-minded and taking the plunge. The fact that he's willing to ditch his preconceptions is a good indicator that he's growing as a reviewer. I prefer Windows for its customisation, tweaking and compatibility benefits, I think OS X is prettier, more intuitive, and cuts through a lot of the crap that average people aren't interested in. Fuck Mac if you're planning to game or run obscure/niche applications though. It just doesn't make sense.
    Best compromise? Build your own machine that can do a triple-boot of Windows, OS X and Linux (any distro). If you want simplicity and aren't looking to do anything super in-depth, boot up OS X. If you want advanced settings, customisation, tweaking or gaming, then go for Windows. If you fancy a bit of experimentation with programming or are looking for a learning experience, fancy a change, or don't want to give money to evil corporations, then go Linux.
    I've gone a bit mental with my operating systems, to be honest. At the moment, I have an SSD for booting Windows and use a 3TB WD Black for Windows storage exclusively, a 2TB WD Black, which I run OS X from and use for storage. A 1TB WD Blue, which I partitioned 70/30 and run both Ubuntu and Arch Linux on respectively. Finally, only last week, I bought a cheap Seagate 500GB HDD to try Windows 10 on. The joys of a big case with lots of SATA ports on the mobo! :D

    I don't understand why Apple products get so much hate... Are you guys simply fanboys of other companies? Apple makes great products, deal with it. I use an Android phone, which I love, and an iPad Mini, which I prefer over a Nexus. I like both of the devices. I had an iPhone, and I loved it. I have a Kindle Fire HD, it sucks. It's good for reading books. Does that make me hate the Kindles and Amazon? No. I am eagerly waiting for them to release a product worth buying. I am interested in Amazon Echo. Can't we all just live in peace and respect each others opinion? Well, of course we can't, this is the internet -_- At least stop hating Apple. And Apple fanboys stop hating everyone else.

    • @korneliusheydrich4095
      @korneliusheydrich4095 10 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I think the hate feel more like troll hate tbh, anyone with tech level could tell that it just different OS inside different hardware. Price are high because people are willing to pay at that price, if a lot of people stop buying at that price it will drop for example the Xbox One.

      Here in a nutshell is why I hate Apple, and honestly its not their fault but their fanboy's!
      Being a gamer I built a gaming pc as did a few of my friends, but one guy said why would you get a pc, mac is way better? Knowing full well he was just a fanboy, we asked him to explain why mac is "way better". His best argument was that macs cost more and that the last time he used windows it was slow (like, what does that even mean?). He spent 3k on his mac and we tried to explain for probably about half the price you could build a pc that would out perform it. We asked him what he actually does with his mac. His response? "Work"... we were 15 (not that 15 y/o's can't work and stuff). He also refused to elaborate on what he meant by "work". His final response "you're just jelly that you can't afford it!" So we asked how he could afford so. "My parents bought it for me". And once again "jelly..."
      Its these fans that just buy apple products because the're made by apple, the majority of these don't even know what their shiny new product can actually do, all they know is that its cool to own one and that's all that seems to matter to the majority of these fanboys.

    • @sluggdiddyyddidgguls
      @sluggdiddyyddidgguls 10 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      I personally don't like apple as company, I think they treat consumers like idiots a lot of the time. They do generally make good products, good looking products, well built ones for the most part, and their user interfaces are easy to understand. But I just really think they are way over priced for what they are, and the very closed system they operate in just makes me uncomfortable.Anyways that aside, I think a lot of the hate comes from the overpriced aspect. I totally conceded that their design and built quality deserves a decent markup over just the bare labor and parts..But they just get greedier and greedier with that markup every year (at least on their computer stuff). I think a lot of the hate is based around this aspect of apple. The notion that you can get a pc that is just as powerful for typically less than half the cost. Again, their r&d and built quality do warrant a increased expense but.. they just take it way too far. The only real valid justification for someone preferring mac is the user experience and look...but people that prefer macs..have a hardtime admitting for whatever reason (probably because of the amount of money spent). And that refusal to admit that...and their attempts to try to talk about speed or "power" of the pc..is what just sets the whole discussion on fire.
      This is not me blaming the mac crowd, that is not my aim..I am just saying that is where I tend to see things get heated. And I am not really talking about the "extreme fanboys" of either side...those people don't bother me much as they exist for every thing out there in the world (mac vs pc fanboys have nothing on sports related fanboys by a long shot), they are easy to drown out at this point. I'm talking about the people who generally are honestly engaging in a debate about the merits of both pc and mac.

There was a video I saw of an iPhone clone running Android with an i0S skin and a really low screen resolution being shown to random people on the street. They were told it was the new iPhone and they were all shocked at how good it looked and how well it worked. Moral of the story? Apple fans love anything Apple does.

    The actual reason for 5K is to keep the same scaling as the previous iMac since a 4K iMac would be scaled to 1080p unlike the 1440p scaling for 5K. No other exotic reason really.

    • @giggitygoebbels3612
      @giggitygoebbels3612 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you cannot actually set the resolution above 1440p?

    • @AliciaBurrito
      @AliciaBurrito 10 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I'll explain the specifics of how it works. OS X does some very smart scaling for their Retina line of computers. They run at a dynamically scaled resolution... sort of. It only renders elements on-screen that would benefit from increased detail like an image for example, while text, menu bar, context menu, etc. simply run at a scaled 1440p resolution. That way it keeps performance up while still being just as crisp if it were natively at 5K at all times.

    • @s8wc3
      @s8wc3 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This isn't really overpriced to all the people who say it is. 5K is a lot of money currently so they include a nice and cheap computer with it. The only bad thing about this is how you can't use it as a standalone monitor. To gamers, yes Macs are bad for gaming but that doesn't mean it's not practical. Yes, most Macs are very expensive but people who buy the most expensive ones can justify the cost easily for using it for multiple years since there aren't as many viruses on it (there is malware for anything you csn download stuff onto and if someone doesn't think so they are just plain wrong).

      i actually haven't used a .net application in years after switching to OS X/ubuntu.... and i actually think that any os that doesn't support a native unix like command line, to be inferior to the ones who do (namely every os that is not windows). also the base model has a 4690 in it. how is it laptop grade when the tdp of the processor is 84W. as for being slow, of course it doesn't have enormous power, the majority of the money goes to the screen (ever seen how much a 4k/5k IPS panel cost).
      You may not like a mac, and that is your choice, but without objectively quantifying the significance of apple computers isn't a solution. For instance, I don't like paying $1600 for my laptop either (its a macbook pro), but OS X is an integral part of my workflow as a developer, and the costs isn't really that bad (for comparison i dumped nearly $3k on my windows gaming computer, and there are still some things i prefer work on my laptop).

    The grass is greener here on the Mac side. If you REALLY think you need a PC, dual boot the Mac and run Windows on a partition. Also, once you learn to use the Magic Mouse, you'll never want to use another mouse for a daily driver. I'd love to have that 5K display, but I'm not due to get another Mac for about 4 more years. Macs also last about twice as long as a PC IMO.

      @duplux, the GPU should be satisfactory for most needs. Gaming is very intensive, but even a basic card can handle games at a decent frame rate and resolution.
      @Gezza Jones, I'm not saying it's the best, it just has so much functionality in it's form, that it's great for day to day tasks. Obviously it's not a gaming mouse with programable keys, but it certainly has increased my workflow with its functionality.

    Dammit Linus you traitor.
    I have no issues using Apple when they're provided for school or work or whatever, I'd never buy one myself though. It's not even a question of price, it's a question of Apple being such control freaks over hardware. What I love most with my Thinkpad is that if something goes wrong I can research the issue myself, fieldstrip it myself, fix the problem myself, and put everything back together without a hitch myself - even upgrade or mod stuff myself, if I want. If I had a Macbook and something cocked up I'd have to go through -20 degree weather to Temple, visit the Genius Bar priest, pay my tithe to the ghost of Steve Jobs, and receive their official sanctioned response from on high. It's like Roman Catholicism for computers.

      I legitimately struggle to think of an initial launch of an Apple product or service that didn't have some kind of severe and widely-documented hardware or software flaw. The horse blinders people put on for the 'it just works' line are really covering a wide scope. You aren't fooling anybody with that line anymore.

      Thinkpad - pop out the largely-unnecessary optical drive, replace it with a hard drive tray, drop your SSD in and install the OS. Congrats, you're now cooking with gas and entering the 2010s and you barely had to do anything with the laptop you already own.
      Macbook - throw it in the garbage spend another 2000 bucks on a new Macbook, just the way Apple wants it.

    Thank you Linus, for not only putting your self out of your comfort zone to test this and give balanced criticism instead of just going 'MAC SUX ITS EXPENSIVE AND PC IS CHEAPER AMIRITE GUISE' like many, many angry people in the comments. I applaud you for doing thourough, objective reviews of products instead of just going 'I don't like this brand so who cares'.
    Thanks for bringing up how 'Good value' is entirely subjective. I currently am using a pair of jvc triple x bass or something headphones that cost me £10 and are perfectly adequate for my needs. I have a friend who bought some seinheiser IE 8i headphones for £280 because he likes listening to high qaulity sound files on the go and is much more into music fidelity then I am. I'd never spend that much on headphones, as for the music I listen to those headphones would not be good value but he loves them and to him they are great value. I'm happy with my choice and he is happy with his.
    So why can't people just accept that people buy macs because they look nice or because they like the os, or the screen or the form factor or the etc? Just because you don't find it good value does not mean that no one else does.
    Tl;DR People can buy whatever they want for whatever reason they want. Get over it.

      I know this post is ancient, but as a Mac user since the public beta of OS X, when I switched due to my Linux / FreeBSD irritation to OS X and was shocked that a company had finally made Unix beautiful and easy to use, I am definitely a Mac user. (Not a fan boy who has to buy every latest Apple gadget, though... I still have an iPad 2 that works perfectly fine and just picked up.a refurb iPhone 11.)
      As a software developer, I really dislike Windows. I dislike the UI, the methodology of installing / uninstalling apps, and many other things. I am a gamer, and I do play some games (particularly visual novels) on my Mac, but for most gaming, I prefer consoles since they are a standardized experience, and I find most modern gaming PCs to be tacky with all their glowing keyboards and transparent cases.
      I mean, hey, if Windows satisfies your needs, I'm not trying to deter you from using it. I just don't like it. The last versions of Windows that I didn't find horrific in terms of UI were XP and 7.

    It's quite remarkable to watch all these comments. Humans never change, and never realizes their behavior from history. It's like the debate, Android vs Iphone. First thing to say, if you haven't owned a mac you don't have any saying. Owning a mac from the year 2007 and comparing it with a 2014 laptop isn't fair either. Give reasonable arguments and not "it's ugly and expensive".

    • @TheNellyinator
      @TheNellyinator 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      1.No one really uses the argument that its ugly because thats very opinionated
      2. The price is a very valid and reasonable point so
      3.You want something else fine I think Apple is a dick to all the other companies like intel, AMD, samsung etc.They all create new things for us everybody to use including apple but apple just sort of throws a temper tantrum and sues someone for "copying their ideas"
      4. Imacs, macs etc. Are pretty much completely enclosed you can't do anything with them its like a console that you have to replace if you want to keep up and don't give me that "windows slows down after awhile crap" just do a defrag a pc clean up and you should be fine. If you build your own pc you can just pop out the old part and put a new one in and you're good to go
      5. My friend always argued thats macs are way easier too use and not only was it stupid but a 5 year old can literally build a computer if you want proof got to Jayztwocents and you'll find the video there of his daughter building one with minimal help from her dad

      I have owned a few apple products, and I must say, it's always been a bad experience for me. But I am a hardcore tinkering PC builder. Apple doesn't really appreciate this and this is why I personally don't like their products. But I must say, when it comes to build quality apple wins. In the laptop segment at least. Their phones now have a lot of competition

    • @MrEditorsMusic
      @MrEditorsMusic 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheNellyinator 3. That's just silly, everyone sues everyone. Don't throw Apple under the bus, for example Samsung sued Nvidia today. I guess they are the same then?
      4. Apple products have much higher resale value than Windows. Also because of OS X being so optimized it takes a longer time for the specifications of the computer to really slow down the experience.
      5. How is the 5 year relevant to the question? Yes In my opinion Apple has a better layout than Windows which is one of the bigger reasons I will never go back. Better layout = often easier to use.

    • @Helllllerrrrrrrrrrr

    • @MrEditorsMusic

      thatbattlefield dude 3. and 4 are not opinions they are facts. If you truly say that Windows computers have a higher resale value you're wrong. Check the market. Also, do you state that Windows is better optimized than mac os when it comes to all-around experience?
      Not to say the least, do you state that Apple is the only company in the tech world that sues other companies?
      5. Wasn't an argument, I was just answering his question. Sorry if I confused you.

    • @leetwaffle
      @leetwaffle 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may be true but considering this thing has a 5k display in it (the only other comparable option is a Dell 5k monitor that also costs $2500) it's really not a bad deal to be honest.

    • @hellseagle21
      @hellseagle21 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      strikewolf42 That is true, but what are you going to do on that 5k display? The iMacs are Apple's consumer brand, so what are most consumers going to do? Well consumer media of course. Really with those specs powering a 5k display, it's no like you can do any work on it anyways. I really wish that Apple just released the display separately, that way people with actual workstations and professional grade hardware could actually use the high resolution display the way it is meant to be used. Really video editing wouldn't even be to well on this thing, and it's not like some light workload like Photoshop or a photographer could really use this thing since the glossy display creates over-saturated colors more than accurate ones, and there's no pivot or anything.

    • @patrikmanni3559
      @patrikmanni3559 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      strikewolf42 Right. But the Dell monitor is an 8bit+AFRC one that you can actually hook up to a rig where you aren't going to be wasting time waiting for several times as long while things are rendering. If you want to use it for actual production work the Dell monitor is, hands down, the more sensible option.

    Linus made a really good point in this video (Yes I know old video). A lot of gaming setups do look not cheap but not luxurious either. A lot of higher end pc stuff like keyboards and mice and stuff everything is lit up with flash rgb lighting. Which is fine. But the options when it comes to things looking that little bit luxurious are minimal. I applaud Inwin for making some very very nice looking luxurious pc cases so people are doing it.
    What I am getting at is, there are PC users who want a custom PC but one that looks just that little bit luxurious, say for in a design studio, or a professional work space.
    What I mean is there are millions of custom PC's out there that look like they jumped out of a fast and the furious movie the way they are lit up, but for someone who wants say the styling of a rolls royce options are much much less.

      Tommy Tran Considering that this computer will be used in prosumer and professional applications in regards to video and photos, you actually want that bezel.
      The bottom chin could go I suppose but that's where some of the computer components are and the black bezels are used to put a "background" per say for the editor. If the monitor had absolutely no bezel, then the photos and videos you would be working on would appear on whatever is behind your computer which isn't ideal for editing.

      FlickMyFuj Your comments sounded like you didn't know the difference between the hackintosh and mac. The key is dualbooting, if you like one OS better for one thing, and another OS better for another thing, it's a snap to just run both, and with SSDs they can reboot in less than 15 seconds

    I suppose Windows vs OS X resolution handling would be a good topic to talk about. To be honest, I think OS X is a lot more well suited on laptops. Mission Control helps you make the most out of smaller resolution displays (which is extremely helpful). Handoff, automatic internet tethering, and making/receiving calls and (actual) texts on your laptop are extremely useful when you are on the go. And the trackpad gestures help streamline the whole OS X experience. Though for desktops, I do prefer windows.

    • @alexandershu840
      @alexandershu840 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Preach it... Windows on laptops is unbearable, and OS X on desktops isn't horrible but you lose a lot of the functionality unless you're willing to fork over 70 USD for a magic trackpad... Using Windows on my gaming rig is great, but for school I use a 13" Macbook Air and I love it.

    Ok so I've always hated Apple and Steve Jobs etc. I've built my own PCs from scratch for the past 17 years. I am a pro graphic designer and photographer for over 15 years. Windows never crashes and I use it 8-12 hrs a day every day. My current PC build has lasted me 9 years and I can still run Photoshop CC 2014 and do 130 layer composites on my old beast. Slowly but surely. I have to say though the iMacs caught my eye last year
    I'm sick of a huge ugly monolith dust filter machine with lights under my desk and the iMacs are so much nicer. They are pretty powerful to boot (wish they went with the 980m though instead of the AMD). The cpu is the fastest right now for single core performance and multi scores aren't that far behind a 6 core 5820 i7. The ssd performance on Apple products beat all PCs because Apple used a proprietary PCI e interface.
    People only seem focused on gaming which is NOT the purpose of this computer even though it can play even the high end games at UHD better than even the new play station and Xbox and look way better even at UHD because of retina pixel doubling. This is more than enough for people like myself. Hardcore gamers need to build a pc with specs for gaming.
    I'm not a huge fan of OS X as I find it restrictive but the hardware is incredible. Silent, no bright ugly LEDs or strip lights. No noisy dust busting fans.
    Now I've looked at building my own x99, 6 core graphics design system that is SLIGHTLY faster than a loaded iMac (but it's still slower in single core core and ssd performance) and it will cost me about $2500 Cdn. Now I need a monitor and was looking at that LG curved 34" monitor that Linus reviewed. No crappy TN or 30hz 4k monitors for me. Must be 60hz and IPS only. So that LG is about $1200 Cdn and still isn't the resolution of this iMac but it's a very good monitor.
    So all tolled the PC would cost me nearly $4000 Cdn with similar cup performance(slower single core, slightly better multi core) , better gpu (nvidia 970) , slower ssd performance ands monitor that is inferior to the imac in some areas but better in others).
    Windows is more familiar and configurable but windows 8 is ugly. Windows 7 is great but windows 10 shows great promise.
    But then I have cables and noise and a giant PC case.
    The iMac is simple and elegant, no ugly lights, no dust busting fans (nearly silent the rare time a fan needs to run). No cable clutter and the best warranty around (3 year Apple care is only $150 Cdn)
    Price is a wash as I said both the PC and imac cost roughly the same. People who say otherwise aren't including a good 27" IPS 1440p or better monitor and are building a cheap gaming rig with lower spec cpu, chipset, PSU, memory and only focus on the graphics card.
    I wouldn't consider anything less than an x99 chipset.
    The iMac's drawback is all in one and no ability to use it as an external monitor down the road when u no longer need the computer inside.
    I've never really upgraded PC parts I generslly build a new system every time.
    So it's pretty much a wash and a hard decision for me.

      @IndecisiveFella 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well thought out post, but as always with me and my stupid mind, I have to ask a simple question: What makes you think, Mac OS X is restrictive? Maybe I or others can alleviate that concern, or if bad goes to worse, harden it like the DarkRock 9000.

    • @IndecisiveFella
      @IndecisiveFella 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      77dris
      • “For me when I tried three 2013 iMacs a year ago (had to send them back for faulty screens, just my luck, and stick with my old PC for a while longer) OS X was so new to me and I didn't know what I was doing. With the help from some friends I got the hand of it, but there were a few niggles that really had me wondering if I could stay with it.”
      - Yeah, sometimes you really have to get lucky with displays.
      • “I found Mavericks (which was new at the time) wouldn't recognize most of the video files I have gathered over the years, like wmv, avi, even the new mkv format. There were no thumbnails for these, only for the quicktime and .mp4 formats making it hard to browse files for sure. I heard there were workarounds for this before Mavericks (Perian? sp) but they no longer worked.”
      - I never had problems playing WMV (the worst video format after Real Media) using Flip4Mac or VLC Player.
      The same goes for those .avi files using the Divx or Xvid codec.
      • “Playing said files wasn't easy either as VLC Player seemed to work ok for some formats, but not avi (divx)I think (needed a seperate player).”
      - With VLC Player such problems should not exist, unless there is some very strange codec involved, and Divx and Xvid are not that strange.
      • “I also routinely like multiple instances of media player running at once, something I read couldn't be done on OS X without workarounds (I tried some and was able to get that to work but very poorly, often crashing or causing sluggish response).”
      - No problem in OS X. QuickTime Player allows multiple windows with media in it to be played at the same time.
      And if you want VLC Player or Movist or whatever player you want to use to play multiple videos, duplicate the application in the Applications folder and open the next set of videos in the duplicates. I have done so myself, having three instances of Movist or five of VLC Player.
      • “I also like to quickly cut/trim videos without re-encoding using nifty little apps like Avidemux and Virtualdub and couldn't find anything that worked well on OS X Mavericks (at the time there was an Avidemux but it was very crash prone and very slow, probably slower than my 10 yr old PC at remuxing video).”
      - Yeah, I am not a big fan of compressed shit, thus I always transcode to an editing codec. But you might give MPEG Streamclip a try, it opens many video formats, you can cut and trim and it should just remux the new video instead of transcoding.
      • “I think for most of that I can run Parallels maybe for the times I need to do that sort of thing. I would like to run Bootcamp as well for the odd game, but doing all that will require the 1TB drive (preferably SSD) so $$ is an issue.”
      - Parallels Desktop is quite powerful and I was able to play many 3D games in it, like Command and Conquer 3 on a 2007 iMac or BF3 on a 2013 Hackintosh.
      • “My other issue might be the biggest.... email. I wanted to like Apple Mail but couldn't get it to work properly with my ISP email. I did try a copy of Office Mac 2011, and it was much better, but still, it doesn't sync emails and contacts and calendars seemlessly like on my PC (and even my iPhone). I found out my ISP uses MS Exchange ActiveSync and from what I have read there is no support for this on OSX (but there is on iOS like the phones). That's a huge killer for me as I've had this email account for 15 years and cannot change.”
      - With that I cannot help, but maybe MacRumors Forums or Apple Discussions might.
      • “Funny how I can seamlessly have my contacts and calendars update on my PC and iPhone but not on the iMac. Some people say run Office in Parallels but that is obviously way less than ideal.”
      - I cannot help you with that either, as it works for me and my iPhone using iCloud.
      • “As a photo editor, I have heard issues with extreme lag in Lightroom with all the pixels being used (the solution is to use a smaller window or res-down to 1440p which defeats the purpose). I've also heard of a few issues in Photoshop as well but those are fewer and far between.”
      - I have no Retina Mac, therefore I cannot help their either. MacRumors Forums or Apple Discussion might help there again.
      • “Then there is Yosemite. A few of my hardcore Apple buddies initially wouldn't admit there was a problem but now I'm hearing huge complaints over interface lag but bigger ones about wifi issues. I'm glad to hear Apple is trying to fix the issue but it's still scary.”
      - Yep, Yosemite has some bugs, but for me it works quite fine, but I have no WiFi.

      I jacked my MacBook's SSD up trying to repartition my hard drive after uninstalling Linux Mint, I had to do a complete wipe and reinstall. After the reinstall I restored from backup, and literally, 1 hour later, every single file, application, folder, configuration, calendar, mail, saved browser passwords, bookmarks, 3rd party window snap management software, music file, wallpaper, photo's, word document, python program, excel spreadsheet, powerpoint... everything was back in it's right place. It's like nothing ever happened. One of the perk's of OS X's and Apple's ecosystem is that issues, on the rare occasion that they occur, can be easily corrected. My mother could have done a Time Machine backup restore, it was that easy. OS X is extremely user friendly.

Then, my Linux machine is for web and application development/programming. I've only been using OSX for about 3 months now, and I honestly have no complains about it. Ubuntu feels very similar, and I've been using Ubuntu for years. I like how it just gets out of the way and let's me do my thang!

      Yeah it's just sad. It's like putting your hand on a hot surface and then complaining about it being hot but keep doing it. I love all technology, no matter who it's from. Most I'll never buy but still nice to see how advancement of technology is going. People just have sad lives hating on Apple all the time. Say Apple users are hipsters but this new trend of hating on them is for hipsters. Don't believe me then look up the definition of a hipster and you'll see how well it fits.

    • @TheByzantineEmpire
      @TheByzantineEmpire 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Muffin Man Hipsters know nothing about computers but spend alot on apple products. Thats why they get the hate.
      Example from real life. I was looking to buy a new laptop for Uni and i ask one of the people about the features of the Rmbp, they said it has the best ram, (its gold plated) best CPU ect ect, i know thats not the case, but a noob computer user would think the selling points would be true, where as i know they are false

    You need a second monitor? You better don't...
    You need additional storage? Put it next to the mouse and we'll talk about it - it better be external.
    You don't like our sound card? Nah, you have to. And you have 2 ears, you don't need 6 or 8 channels!

      To each their own, but these are not good points to be making if you are against apple. You don't see a sub $800 laptop from apple, because they know it will suck. I deal with a lot of cheap windows laptops that just make me want to throw it in the garbage. IDK why you would want anyone to suffer through such awful experience.

    • @LucasBoy94
      @LucasBoy94 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flat4Buggy That's why I said "newer".
      trant2b If it's solely for the review, I'd agree with you. But Hackintoshes are actually usable and reliable, just like any other PC - it's unix kernel after all.
      Zaviex It doesn't matter if it's professional DAC in there if I you cannot connect the 8-channel audio system in your house as it is supposed to be. You will need to bind and then split the channels, which is awkward.
      Kelco Costington we are not talking about laptops and even if we did - I also agree that a sub $800 laptop is just slowing you down no matter what you are trying to do.

I personally want to administrate things and be able to download a thing that can be a virus. PS its only funner if u get a virus and need to remove it. I tried on my old Windows Vista pc to get a virus that said "Deleting everything in 3, 2, then I turned it off turned it on it was still there before the program even got to launch I had deleted it :P
