  • One of our favorite cities with endless things to do and places to see. We stayed here for a total of one month and barely scratched the surface. We are so happy we chose to spend time in this beautiful city and that we had the opportunity to share the time with family.
This is part 1 of 3 videos that detail one week of activities in Istanbul. In this video, we explore places such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Galata Tower, and a few other places. The city has so much to offer, from great food to beautiful mosques and history.
Our biggest tip is not to underestimate the amount of time you need here. In one week, our days were busy from dawn to dusk, and we still missed out on a few places we wanted to see. If you are traveling with kids, we recommend at least two weeks so you can go at a more leisurely pace.
Everyone was really friendly and hospitable and public transport was super easy and convenient, although crowded certain times of day.
Check back next week for part 2 where we explore Sulemaniye Mosque, The Grand Bazaar, The Spice Bazaar, and the largest mosque in all of Turkey!
