I'm so glad you loved Maurice. Bluets is one of my favourites, and one I often gift. It's a shame it didn't resonate with you, but some books just aren't right for us. Luckily, there are many amazing books out there to get through.
@@beththebookworm Thank you, really did love Maurice! Really wish I did love Bluets, it was probably me more than the book! Glad you love it though! Very true, so many amazing books out there to read! 😊
Hi Jack!!! 😊 It sucks when one's reading vibe goes a bit missing but you found a new favourite, so I think August is not entirely a month to throw in the bin reading-wise 😅 I tried to pick up some books for "women in translation month" but I also got some mixed results. Still, I quite liked The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa, I loved the focus on found family, but there was a bit too much baseball and maths for my taste 😂 Crossing my fingers that September treats you well and that you'll also find some lovely books!
@@rie_violet hello my sweet friend! It really does suck when the vibes for life just go! Love that you picked up some books for women in translation month, I wish I did! Baseball and maths! I would’ve had no hope! 😂 I’m glad you managed to find some positives with it! Hope the same for you my friend 😊
Bluets is a favourite of mine, but when I saw you picking it up, I was quite sure, it won't be for you. This has nothing to do with being smart enough or not, only with what kind of reader you are and what kind of books you like. 🤗
Sometimes you just have a slump. I have times like that too. Big hugs for the sad times xxx
