You were on fire this month 🔥 Not gonna lie, when I heard on the news that Han Kang had won the Nobel Prize I jumped off of the sofa, screamed and did a little dance! She is my favourite Korean author, I really really love The White Book and Human Acts! Human Acts is also quite an upsetting read, but it's the one I'd recommend the most because it has her lovely prose but also an historical element that I think helps to ground the narration. I have yet to read The Vegetarian because it has always felt a little bit intimidating but I will get to it sooner or later I swear, I just need to prepare myself mentally first. 😅 Have a lovely week! 😊

I'm glad your reading slump is over 🎉 I myself had a horrendous slump in October amd ive already read more than half the number of pages in this first week of November than I did all of last month. Long may the ✨reading vibes✨ continue! Ever since Han Kang won the Nobel and ive heard or read someone discuss The Vegetarian, I've sort of been transported into the atmosphere of that book and just been struck by how often I still think of it and how its stayed with me all these years after reading it. (Ironic given how when i first tried to read it as a teenager, i DNF'd within 50 pages and gave the old one star rating on Goodreads! 🙈🙊😂)

I haven't commented in a week or two..I left one on your LONG vlog a couple weeks ago but it disappeared shortly after😒 I haven't been feeling too bookish of late...we have an election tomorrow & one of the candidates is spreading so many lies & hatred that I fear what will happen if they lose...but I fear what will happen if they win...😔 Anyway, I just hope for people to have clear heads in the matter. I'm part way through Miranda's book and I'm struggling to be honest. 🙈🙈
I do get that. It can get a little bit much. But I just love her so much 😂
