Lol. Hubble, JWST and the large array telescope can take millions of times better pictures than your "astrophotography" rig 😂. Effectively you're just wasting your money. Photography is an Expensive way to distract yourself from existential crisis.

Fly my drone all over, LAANC system is super easy to use also. As far as geo locked zones it’s usually pretty easy to get an override for them from DJI

About a month ago i got the warnings on my drone app asking if i had permission to fly there of course i said yes cone to find out as im recording im just a block away from where what looked like to be an old airport it was pretty cool and the rush was worth it lol😅

Ive talked to two very talented/famous videographers. I asked both for advice and they both told me the same thing, do what you know and use what you got.
I have a phone tho.
@@DaddyM7MDgood,most phones have great cameras that look even better on manual mode or gcam if you know how to use it I have a 250 euro phone and have taken some insane photos with it that you would never guess were from a phone
@@DaddyM7MDPhones are still impressive if you use it correctly. An entire Hollywood film was shot on a phone camera (granted rigged tf up), but still, just create my guy

I have cameras that shoot pro 4K and use my phone for video. I am a photographer and hate to edit video. I give major props to videographers. Gotta love it.
It’s not worth it if you don’t make a return on your investment. Otherwise, and quite literally.. it’s not worth it

When I first started using Davinci resolve back in 2019 all my editor friends who used premier would laugh abt how I didn’t use premier, nowadays they’re all begging me to help them learn Davinci lol

No it's still not worth it. I can just buy a similar or better shot from stock footage sites for a fraction of cost and headache and still say I own it. Sure if you have thousands of dollars to throw away and you have nothing better going in your life, go pickup "photography"

Consider this, with just a go pro you can do so much. Unless you’re planning on doing it as a career you don’t HAVE to spend 10k to take pretty pictures
Lumix GH4 or GH5 + either kit lens or 12-60 F2.8 are all you need. 4K, IBIS, small and lightweight.
I just bought a DJI RS3 Pro, saving up for GH4 and lens to get me going.

Focus should be on polishing scrips. I’m surprised on how well a production can do on a low budget. This whole SVB fiasco is a big deal folks.

Wow, this video hit me hard when I am having mixed feelings. How many of you have bought lenses after lenses, changed camera bodies multiple times for the ultimate video quality (that doesn't exist), drones, ND filters, gimbals, carry a bunch load of camera gear when you travel, come home with lots of burden, wasted time, effort and money staring at the bright computer screen for hours, days, weeks, months.... while your friends have moved on to do other things --Maybe learning how to invest their money in other areas that get them a lot more returns..... And years later, you are still reading online forums and getting into arguments with strangers on the best lens to buy.....

@@prohawkk yeah… I see many happy people simply using their phones to take pictures and videos. It’s simple and instant. What most of us want is to keep memories, not really achieve the best in recording quality. 10 years later, it doesn’t matter any more. But the amount of money and time we waste on buying camera gear could prevent us from enjoying many of the finer things in life.

Cages are great why would you not use a cage. Why are you packing gear you don't use. Why would you buy many small hard drives instead of just buying a couple small SSD's and a big DAS in RAID (~$18/TB). If you're annoyed by no-fly zones then load custom drone firmware that let's you bypass those boundaries.
None of what you listed is really an issue if you learn about your choices.
Honestly, I still like using a my video camera. I know DSLR is the most popular way to shoot video but there’s just something about my Sony video camera I absolutely love. Even thought it’s mini-dv and only shoots 480i, it’s better in low light than my iPhone is and many cheap cameras today. It’s a Sony VX-2100.

It's not expensive at all, the return on investment is massive compared to the investment if you know what you're doing and don't buy gear just in case, only the minimal necessity, spend on location, talent, costume, makeup, gear rental, gaffer, grip, audio guy...and you'll spend as much as you'll need for a red komodo x but the end result will be a spec project that looks 10x more expensive and will get you high paying clients who will trust you with 10x the budget you put into that spec project instead of buying the latest and greatest camera just to shoot kids skating, your dog, or a friend in a living rom for a youtube cinematography breakdown and starve then ask why is filmmaking so hard for years while smart ones get in the game way after you and get ahead of you..
Wow 😮 I actually can’t relate to any of it, I got a bmpcc4k (first cam) got a cage, ssd holder, external battery, gimbal etc etc.. didn’t get anything new it was all second hand and I’ve used everything almost all the time depending the projects. I learned to edit in davinci (never used the others) and I’ve made a decent living from videography, but I still work part time in a bar 😊
Justjust uae tood camera phones like s24 ultra or iphone 15 pm or google pixel.... and get a portable storage thing like portable hard drives or an ssd or pendrives or just store the videos, photos in your computer to avoid storage issues in your phone. Also invest in a gimbal or a microphone.. might as well edit on apps like capcut, alight or maybe VN. Or you can just import it into your computer and edit by buying softwares. This is much cheaper than all the things mentioned in the video!!

There is no sense in buying more than one sd card.
Just get an eos 70d for 150€+50mm 1.8 for 50€ and a spark from marketplace for 100€ and fly it anywhere because it can. Talent will get you further than gear can.

the no fly zone is honestly fck true. before my recent trip. i consider buying a drone for the trip. then i go to trip in mountain. almost 80% of my shooting idea is gone due to no fly zone. my most trips maybe will not be able to use drone at all due most of them is private property
