Some commenters have noted that Celerity and Bottomless Grief do not work solo any more - thanks for this update! Fortunately, I don't think either perk is particularly groundbreaking either way, but that's something to consider!

Alacrity (the origin trait) works solo, Celerity (the old perk that doesn't get issued anymore) does not. Pretty sure that's what you meant to write, just wanted to clarify.

@@HighFiveGhostenjoyer428 Most of the Pinnacle Weapon perks aren't listed unless they've been reissued. I believe Reversal of Fortune is the only one he listed. Other ones that weren't listed: Magnificent Howl, Micro-Missile, Master of Arms, Archer's Gambit, and Meganeura

Btw gutshot straight is coded to work on white damage numbers, and can roll in the third column occasionally. Just saying, Gutshot Straight + Controlled Burst on a fusion might be insane in the future.

it's amazing how much we think alike lol. both eager edge and shoot to loot are my personal favorite perks for the kinds of gameplay patterns they open up and just how *fun* they feel. the only placement I disagree with is collective action: ionic traces do not have an internal cooldown, and they track to your position, so as long as you play an arc subclass you'll have a near constant 20% uptime for literally no effort (since you'll be making ionic traces naturally anyway). because this only applies to arc subclasses that does limit its usability a bit, but I don't think it should go below C tier. other than that I agree with the rest of the list pretty much perk for perk, it closely mirrors my in game experience

Stoked to see 1-2 punch hit the S tier. I have a blast with melee builds. I'm new to the channel so maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen in 1-2 punch dmg rotations in the other videos. _(I haven't finished the awesome 7+ part series yet so maybe it's in there)._ I remember seeing lots of dungeon boss solo's using hunter and titan 1-2 punch loadouts in past seasons. I'm very interested to see how they stack up to the mid-tier (ex. Acrius) of raid dmg loadouts.

Not bad, but imo it's still best on Supremacy - if we ever get it on a better fusion than Pressurized or a GL of some sort, I think it'll be very potent
Fair and probably true, I've never tried discord out even though it seems useful, i just liked your idea of double special fueled by discord to go infinite in theory and wanted to see what could roll with it. GL and Fusion would be an amazing discord combo

14:00 From what I remember, Bottomless Grief only proccs if you're the last fireteam member alive, not even running solo. And don't remember if that was patched or not, but if it wasn't it probably should be in the F tier

One bit of feedback I have is your point about Tireless Blade. I think you may have misread the perk description and as a result you misunderstood how it works.
Tireless blade will provide 1 sword ammo for every other sword kill. There is no time limit between these kills, and the kill counter does not reset when the sword is stowed.
This makes it almost possible to use a sword as a primary in Stronghold builds if you want to mess around with them in a GM or something.
Something else that probably won’t change the tiering, but is cool to think about. Gutshot Straight specifically just buffs any and all non-precision damage coming from the gun. This means that all of the explosion perks benefit from it, and technically the gun will do 20% more damage to stasis crystals and can give a 20% buff to Headstone’s damage output. If Gutshot ever finds itself in the left column of a Headstone bow it’ll be pretty interesting in conjunction with Whisper of Rending since the perk crystals can freeze enemies and count as primary weapon damage when destroyed.
Yeah I'm fully aware but if any enemy takes more than one swing to kill that's ~= to Relentless and Relentless can be used on larger enemies as well

As a person that has a hard time understanding the perk system you definitely came in clutch with this one thank you so much ❤
A note on the Threadling perk. Threadlings created by the weapon that get kills, count as weapon kills with that weapon. This isn't exactly something that would be super helpful most of the time, but it is something I found out while leveling up my Round Robin for PVP back in the day, before the changes to weapon leveling. A Subsistence Threadling combo on that or on Volta Bracket (again, was leveling it for PVP) really helped speed up the process.
I wouldn't change the ranking you gave it though. I am just saying it's a neat quirk of the perk.

Regarding the Discord perk, two special weapons that can roll with it are Pressurized Precision (Iron Banner strand fusion rifle), and Last Man Standing (aggressive solar shotty, which you can focus at the Sonar Station table in the HELM). I think there's also a world drop sniper rifle that can roll with it, but can't remember which one.
Locus locutus is the sniper, the only thing i used it for is doing challenges or bounties, i have like 4 of them with discord gravestone, man i wish i got the lms shotgun, i want to do the infinite shotgun titan build so bad

Osmosis is actually kinda useful for synergizing with subclass fragments that give you unraveling rounds, destabilizing rounds, etc, it allows you to use one weapon you really like or are comfortable with without sacrificing synergy. But Yeaaaaa a it's niche at best. I think the main weapon I still use it on is specifically traveler's chosen.
I have a personal sidequest going on, where I try to have in my vault every weapon type that can roll Osmosis, so I have one for every artifact weapon type to use on my Warlock for Verity grenade builds. So far I have:
Sidearm: Traveler's Chosen (of course)
Submachine Gun: Escape Velocity (Dares of Eternity)
Auto Rifle: Lodbrok-C (World/ Banshee)
Hand Cannon: Pure Poetry (Vanguard Playlist)
Machine Gun: Chain of Command (Ritual/ Pursuit/ of course)
Osmosis fun facts: There are 38 weapons with the perk in the entire game (according to D2 Foundry, if you count sunset and adept weapons and not count Traveler's Chosen); 0 of them (currently) are Bows; 5 of them are Snipers, 3 are sniper raid weapons; 1 on a scout rifle currently obtainable (Servant Leader, Gambit); And Chain of Command is the only heavy that has it.
Weapons that can get the Osmosis/Ad. Junkie roll: Lodbrok-C, Fatebringer, Praedyth's Revenge
Weapons that can get the Osmosis/ Demo roll: Defiance of Yasmin, Succession, C.o.C, Fortissimo-11, The Last Breath, Judgment
@@DPantherful1 I've got Traveler's, a hand cannon, a smg and two auto rifles with osmosis (don't ask names, I barely remember my name let alone a weapon name beyond Traveler's Chosen). I covered all my favorite weapons with having at least one Osmosis weapon. But I'm glad to know I'm not the only Osmosis lover!
As you said about the cascade point grenade launchers, I’ve got a heavy gl with cascade envious and it is insane, although I end up killing myself with it much more than any other weapon, often because of how fast it fires. Still does insane dps though.
Danger zone has one use that could bump it up a tier. It buffs disorienting grenades radius. Although disorienting grenades is not meta it is still quite a good effect for various underleveled content.

No, it doesn’t. It literally shows up in stats that it doesn’t. Also, it was tested countless times. Blinding gls have 0 radius by default.
@@ya-cv8jgblinding gls have 0 splash damage radius by default. This is replaced by a blind/stun aoe effect my guy. And since that effect is separate it does not show on stats.
The statement is that danger zone increases the cc aoe. Wich would NOT show in stats. Now I don't know if this works. But you refering to stats for this shows that you also have no clue on how it works. So don't spread misinformation. Or you have tested it and can show the effect. In wich case please show proof instead

@@TheAegisRelic I heard from some guys that it's an urban myth, and I tested it myself with Pardon and Prodigal Return with DZ. I couldn't notice any difference in the cc radius.
I've noticed clown cartridge also "takes away" reserves in effect bc of its trait whereas bipod obviously doesn't but they can do similar jobs
Collective action is really great on arc classes where ionic traces are abundant. You also don't need to match classes for to get the benefits.
It's not bad but the damage bonus isn't high enough for a non passive perk imo

I do, however take great exception with a few.
Firing line is a dead perk, and is too situational for a small damage buff. Should be much lower.
Kinetic Tremors, Tricorn, and Explosive rounds are right up there with Frenzy for the best perks on primaries in the game IMHO.
Headstone has AMAZING synergy with Stasis, from reducing your damage to buffing your damage, to debuffing enemies near the effect, to giving your abilities back after shattering, to giving you weapon damage after collecting crystals, to stunning champs etc.
Lastly, Disruption Break is situational, but VERY strong with paired with Izzy, Witherhoard, etc.
Chill Clip is super strong in general for it's Stasis synergy, beyond champs. Best perk for Stasis weapons considering it's easy and just free slow as well.
Firing Line is still used on 140 snipers and is an okay perk for damage
Frenzy is more universal and does two jobs, those perks do one
Stasis isn't really great right now and other 3.0 perks do a better job without relying on Stasis synergy to have good splash potential
Disruption Break is situational and still not very strong when paired with those weapons, as most high health targets do not have shields
Chill Clip is really just for overloads in endgame PvE

Love the content, what I would love is this a rolling tier list, e.g as the sand box changes rather than doing all of the perks again, just highlight the changes / new additions

I’ve underestimated demolitionist on primaries for a long time. I have Unforgiven with demo/frenzy and that paired with Contraverse Hold gives insane grenade spam. Now I use Unforgiven more than Funnelweb.

Bxr perk might’ve had some potential if DoT stuff from melees could re-proc the perk but I don’t think that’s the case. Also firing line can technically proc in solo PvE with NPC allies but unfortunately only comes up in like 2 missions and one lost sector on Europa

Bottomless grief and celarity don't work solo, they both have a passive perk but they only fully work when the rest of your fire team is dead

Surprised to see One For All @1:24:34 ranked so low. It's incredible on primary weapons, which can easily tag multiple enemies and not kill them. An auto rifle gets a lot more value from OFA than Killing Tally, Sword Logic, Firefly or even Frenzy.
Personally I don't think using a primary to tag three enemies to get a primary ammo damage boost is particularly noteworthy, OFA is best on LMGs imo

The idea is great and it’s really not a bad perk.
The problem is that it’s just not needed. Truth be told… unless it helps with big Target damage/DPS it has basically no purpose in the current game. Abilities are all you need to infinite spam to kill most things in the game.
One for all is SO easy to proc with armor piercing rounds or explosive payload (doom of chelchis). Alternatively just using it on an auto rifle is easy to proc.
I would definitely put it in A tier at least as it is SO good in endgame content.

Hey, just some thoughts on replenishing aegis. In GMs it is very nice for getting revives, since you can get the energy while moving up to and from the res which is a point over immoveable. Also, I feel glaives are quite ammo efficient so using up that extra few shots isnt that bad. I pretty much only use glaives in GMs when unstop glaive is around so I havent used it a whole lot, maybe I havent experienced the bad sides enough. But great video and I appreciate that your youtuber who doesnt go mental with clickbait and just delivers great content :)

Yeah even beyond this. Maybe I'm alone in thinking this but. Everytime I see someone changing shit around during a speed run I always pause and look at what they are changing to and from. And I'm super interested in what they are doing but have no real clue how to figure it out besides that. Maybe break down some stuff you aren't currently working on. So not to give away any original processes. I'd say older runs maybe but idk how interested others would be in that I may be alone. Find it fascinating

I think that symapthetic arsenal could be moved up quite a bit, either towards the top of D tier, or even at the bottom of C tier. It effectively grants a pseudo rain of fire effect, which can be great for speedrunning on non-solarlock

As someone who isnt a speedrunner but enjoys eager edge anyway, especially with shatter and well skating, i agree with your s tier pick. I wouldnt put it anywhere else.

I’m presuming Aegis plays on mouse and keyboard as Zen Moment on controller is amazing and makes weapons feel like a laser.
Duty Bound with zen moment and frenzy I find to be very effective for endgame despite autos not typically being the best.
It makes hitting crits a breeze and frenzy takes care of the reload freeing up the other perk slot.

Repulsor Brace is *great* on Warlock with Briarbinds - your targets are always debuffed by the child.

A niche use for osmosis is the Lodbrok-C with the roll of osmosis & adrenaline junkie to take advantage of a surge modifier.
You already take advantage of the overcharged modifier if you run a subclass that matches the surge. Not to mention the 10% free damage for being a kinetic weapon

FINALLLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS JUST HOW GOOD FRENZY is. So sick and tired of seeing people sleep on the perk. The perks amazing and its down right broken if you have the right build in pvp.

Precision Instrument is TL for slower firerate weapons. Its kinda tight but still. And Sword Logic being so high for thoughts about "In theory"

holy fuck THANK god someone is addressing the fact that adaptive munititions is actually a really good perk for anti-barrier. I been using New Purpose for every season with anti-barrier pulse and it legitimately two bursts a full GM champion shield from any range. Normal pulse would be like 6.5 burst

Headstone is nice for Whisper of Shards, but unfortunately stasis isn't in a good statement right now. Hope the next season is going to fix this well.

You didn't get this wrong I just think people might forget, Threat Detector is ready/stow speed *and* ads speed.
Opinion part:
A slightly nerfed Compulsive Reloader would be a good origin trait.
For Sword Logic, depending on the content, there are sometimes enemies that are mid way through that count as bosses. Kill a champ and have a near infinite 35% damage buff? Ceno teammate and you have a sword logic MG, kill a champ and nothing will stand in your way.
One thing to note about Under-Over is it's increase to enemy overshields unlike Adaptive Munitions, like Lucent Moths and Shadow Cabal. It's passive and doesn't require build up, which could allow for one-shoting certain things. It probably deserves it's place, but something to think about.
My guy, take a break, you don't have to go the entire 2 hours without a break.
There actually is an origin trait that is essentially a nerfed version of compulsive reloader. Omolon fluid dynamics on Omolon weapons grants increased reload speed and also stability while above 50% magazine. The amount of reload speed is much lower, of course, but the stability is really nice for weapons like Ammit.
The big problem I have with Hatchling is that if you shoot, let's say, the RoN GL with Hatchling + chain reaction into a group of 10 enemies, it'll STILL only create 1. It's actually pitiful lmao.

Hatchling has to be considered as a longer auto-targeting Incandescent. You get a kill and a threadling spaws and tracks to enemies. If an enemy is out of range Incandescent is useless. Threat detector / Hatchlings immortal is a good combo.
Cold steel would be incredible on glaives.
Militia's Birthright is the best blinding gl in the game with Slideways + Auto:
If you need a single wave to be blind you shoot then swap to kill, autoloading reloads.
If you need two doors blinded? Shoot->Slide->Shoot->Stow and autoloading reloads.
You need 3 waves blinded? Shoot->Slide->Shoot->Stow->Autoloading->Shoot->Slide->Shoot... If you don't go at max fire rate, which is most of the time, you have enough time between slides that the perk goes off cooldown.
The point is you need to be involved only for the amount of time you need and you don't have to bother to reload it or wait every time.
My all purpose GM build: Militia's Birthright + Le Monarque + Corrective Measure (Timelost) with Demo/Firefly and Contraverse Voidlock, never failed me and it's not the boring (but I admit, efficient) rocket spam.
Blunt Execution Rounds is better than you think if you treat it like a "reverse 1-2P", you melee then shoot and if you get good the effective range of your melee build expands. I have a Pugilist+Blunt Execution Rounds BxR that I use on my hammer Titan. Note that since the BxR has insane hipfire you don't even need to aim down the burst. The best scenario for this combo is majors that don't go down with a single hammer and you need that extra damage to finish them: longer range mini-hammer + Blunt Exec burst is good damage for no Special ammo. I also used it in a Caliban build on the hunter.
I wish (I'm coping) they changed Shattered Blade to some insane damage buff (like Blunt Execution) with the same triggers and I can see a build that constantly adds a couple of ammunitions (between Aeon an Cenotaph) to always have a super-powered last hit sword.
Stats for All + One for All is VERY good, but if you divide the perks they aren't that stellar, the problem is that the combo either appers on shit weapons (The Title smg for example) or off-meta choices (Insidious from VotD).
I wish Celerity and Bottomless Grief worked solo, unfortunately they never did, apart from a period when there was a bug; truly a wasted perk design that could have shaken the solo meta at least

In fact this is mostly very accurate list. Though I would swap overflow and chill clip. Overflow in some cases is even better then envious assasin. And 3 shots for freeze is too much...even for rapid fusion. And for rockets this perk is straight up dead now.

All jokes aside I will say Replenishing Aegis is really best on Vexcal, where keeping the shield held for overshield regen is the optimal gameplay loop. Even so, having the ability to shield for extremely long periods of time is honestly kinda cracked in a meta where most strong endgame enemies will melt you. It does burn through ammo, yes, but it also lets you do something that no other perk can do: A solid 2 or 3 mins straight of glaive shielding. It's also good for scenarios with short bursts of blocking as well, as it just lets you skip reloading entirely on a weapon archetype known for very cumbersome reloads.
Although with the coming glaive rework, most glaive perks are going to be shifted around. In particular the buff coming to the glaive's projectile damage could lean its perk pool in favor of more projectile related perks.
Adagio on a shotgun is nice in pvp especially if it a slug . Shotguns are about single shot so if that single shot is stronger the better
PvE list
Correct me if I’m wrong because it’s been a while, but unlike celerity, bottomless grief only works in a fire team if you were the last alive, it does NOT work as a solo player perk whereas celerity does

I think Bungie eased us into the Chill Clip a bit by giving us Unstop fusions this season to replicate the previous usage. The nerf is gonna be felt a lot more next season if we dont have Unstop fusions again.
Also, to add to your point, i believe only Unforgiven gets the demo/golden tricorn roll, which is the only reason why it’s even a usable smg with those embarrassingly bad stats. If an 900rpm SMG with even decent stats gets that pairing, it would easily surpass Funnelweb

I use to use pulse monitor on my frenzy funnelweb because it chained very well with veist stinger. Could easily get over 100 rounds out without reloading or a lull but after the veist nerf it's basically trash lmao. Also grave robber is really good on solar since titan and hunter can have nearly 100% up time on charged melee but it really isnt that great. Still love it on my calus mini tool though.

I feel like you overlook slot competition. Frenzy would be insane as a 3rd slot perk but it's in 4th so how many endgame weapons actually use it? For me I'd rather have a better damage perk than 15%. You also compare a lot of slot 3 reload and handling perks to surplus when they don't have same competition. IT's definitely good and versatile, but that's just an example of a trend I noticed pop up for how you approached a few perks (imo incorrectly). Good list though
Frenzy is insane in 4th too, allows you to take a different utility perk in 3rd like STL or Adaptive or Envious or Demo
