I saw myself in the background of this video a few times haha. I very nearly bought that affinity but as a 17 year old, it would’ve taken my entire budget for the day! 😂 Loved this video, you guys got some great stuff!
I had such a fun time with everyone, I'm the chap in the video that bought Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Stevie nicks, Chris de burgh, and the guilty pleasure stuff.
Hi, You have to check, If you got one of the super rare Numbered ones, of the 10" Elvis. They came out week on week, and they were very limited to a Thousand each. There were CD Single's as well. I have them all In the Box's. You bought the Box, Also Limited and Numbered with the first one In It All Shook Up, Then It was sods law weather you got the rest. My record shop got them for Me. And One week, there was only One copy of each, that came In. Good luck finding the others.
SENSATIONAL VIDEO BROTHER. Congratulations!! I loved the production, the way you did and conducted it. The team is great, but the lady NAILED IT!! I love her choices!! Keep doing this team hunting from times to times brother! Best Regards from São Paulo.
That was fun. Wish I was there. Great seeing Jess again. Love her passion for the Japanese Pressings. Alice Coltrane is one of my favorites also. Brilliant! Everybody found some really great albums. Winner, I would give it to Barry.
Greetings from Los Angeles. This was so incredibly fun to watch. Being a collector myself, I almost felt like a part of your clan. If i was in the UK, I'd be with you. Super fun, thanks for the video. What a great concept!!! Joe
Out of everyone here, I'd say Jess or you came out with the best haul. Getting those two Vertigos for those prices is great, but also Jess does have the cooler stash with all of the Japanese pressings, and that Flower Traveling band was a good deal.
The green glasses girl is was one of those information houses who can tell you so many cool things about so many records anywhere, very fun kind of people
You’ve created a new thing here, it was rocky and difficult to manage all people and make everyone feel included but every one of these will get better and better and I hope anyone who may have had not as good a time as others won’t let that stop them from going next time
Those Alice Coltrane records were the best finds by a long way. Must have cost a bit. Good to hear the great Don Cherry get a mention. I have originals of those brilliant Blue Note lLPs he did in the late 60s. He is also on the remarkable Free Jazz by Ornette Coleman plus a few others that are fantastic.
It was me that picked them up, they were not cheap and unfortunately have risen in value quite a bit over the past 5-10 years but the same can be said for many things. I as able to get some money off as I bought the two though. I have been getting a lot of Don Cherry as well, whether it be his Bluee Note albums (been really getting into Complete Communion), his work with Ornette and Dollar Brand, 70s recordings, the list goes on. Glad to hear you dug the finds 😁
What a great video! Looks like everyone had such a great time. I would have 😍 ved to have been there but I feel that fair would bank rupt me 😂 keep up the great content.
Even though I'm a CD collector, I always enjoy your show for the banter /crate diving and the reminders of titles either forgotten or which I need to seek out !
You really need to nudge mr BARRY WINTON what a guy what musical knowledge what he doesn’t know about music and vinyl isn’t worth knowing he needs his own channel on here I’d subscribe for sure 100% such an interesting guy
Hello Jake, Hey, great finds, congratulations on the cool Clear Blue Sky and the rare Affinity record on Swirl. A great meeting at the record fair, with lots of great people! Best wishes from Germany, Julian
Another interesting snapshot of a London record fair, though prices seem excessive to those of us on the other side of the pond. Please tell your friend - whose name was not mentioned - that the Beatles' 45rpm he bought is a Canadian copy. The Capitol "swirls" - the name given to the yellow-orange yin-yang labels - beginning with a 7 are Canadian. USA copies begin with a 5 or a 2.
I’m on the spectrum, one of my special interests is music collecting, I’m obsessed, lol. Love metal, classic rock, blues rock….id go crazy in that place…if I had the money
Jake you have done a fantastic job i remember watching your channel at the start and it seemed to disappear for a while but now your flying and the clear blue sky album would be the one for me banging album and I must not forget poppa dave great geezer and I have to mention what a beautiful intelligent lady wow she knows so much i Collect a mixture 60s pysch 45s and late 60s 70s albums pysch or a bit heavy finally have you got or heard the T2 album on decca or the 2nd jody grind on transatlantic
@@gavinjohnson8951 No worries, yeah it's a pretty cool album, a nice surprise. Kind of like early Steve Miller band stuff, totally different to his later popular stuff.
I find In these types of record fairs. Is Ransom selling. Anything over the £1 they paid for them Is a bonus. But NO!. What Is on the Sleeve Is what they want for It. Back In the day, they would have excepted a round figure price, but, now. It Is pure Greed that drives them. The Woman In the Green Glasses, did the best here. I wouldn't give more than £45 for the Flower Travelling Band Made In Japan one. The World Of Oz Has to be the Red Deram. I would go £80 In Mint. I have all those Elvis ones. The 10"'s In the Box, And the CD's In the Box. You had to buy them week on week. And they were very rare each week. Those were the ones with the Numbers On the Stickers. He would have to check that He has a Numbered one. Thanks for Sharing.
The Queen for Japanese pressings got ripped off - Made in Japan original floats around 30-50 pounds here in Tokyo- Alot of the stuff coming into the UK from Japan is now well overpriced! My advice is do you homework! this fair is probably the high end of the market for alot of the goodies mentioned!
I am sad to see that there is only one female. I like her style though, I think she would like my record collection...How come I NEVER meet women like her? Is she real?! Great vid. I'm looking forward to another one in the North West, someday, IF possible. 🤞

Thought you sounded cool until you said you brought Chris de burgh 😬
@stevewatson2026 hehe. The revolution is the best track on the album. Phil Palmer on guitar.
@@adamdrummer1991 who on earth is Phil palmer 🤡

The Queen is not dead. She lives to seek out Japanese Pressings!

Manfred Mann's Earth and ,original lineup were great and and Solar Fire maybe their finest.

Jess has a LOT of hair
The guy who shouted awesome to nick Kershaw album oh dear 😂
Blimey, splashed the cash with that Infinity album dude
Dyani probably the pick of the bunch.
A man with taste I see 😁 yes I was very happy to find it
Yup I loved all the blue notes stuff ,Ogun records a good label for that stuff
Nice to see some Bowie being bought 👏👏

I was there looking for Ron Warren Ganderton but never found any 😳
Hi Jake. Do you have a 1st press of Gracious! Vertigo swirl?
Great video. Who is the artist who made the Solar Fire album...?! I couldn't hear with the Café lady clattering pots in the background.
Manfred man's earth band

Great finds! Atheists as cynic are prog death bands...pretty much as death ...awesome bands indeed...I would add nocturnus to that
A female record collector ,a very rare creature indeed ,with great taste and knowledge

Great stuff😂 but camera work is a bit sea sick steve😢
Earthband without spellllcheckkk.
Time to go next level dude and upgrade your recording device to something with stabilisation the jerky footage is unwatchable on a big screen 👍😎
Ok fair but the people who run it are
C U Next Tuesday
You think this fair was big, you should have gone to the old Wembley fair, that was five times as big as this one.
Stamp collectors
Death 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Much fun, but you should handle your records better.

Imagine that Gary, an entire video devoted to her 🤣
So many good purchases among you guys except the guy who probably (mistakenly) bought the Chris de burgh album 😬
