    In this video I take a deep dive in my video setup for recording those crispy visuals + dope exhaust audio. I use hero11 as my chin camera and Zoom H2N as my external recorder.

    Great tutorial! One of the most comprehensive I've found :) I believe the H2N has an audio-out jack? I've wondered if wiring it into the GoPro's mic port would be worth it at all?

    • @brownyonwheels
      @brownyonwheels  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am sure you can wire in but I just hate having wires. I have seen a guy crashing on a corner because the cable flapped around and got stuck in his handle bar. So I don’t take any chance with that.

      @@brownyonwheels I might test it to see how it works with quality but I imagine that it'll be better independent and just completely nulling the GoPro's audio.
      If I do, the wire will be threaded up through the jacket so that it can't flap anywhere. Shall see, gotta get the mic first.

    Got the same setup and followed your steps. Audio is fine but the video tends to be a bit grainy and the lighter parts are very bright. Last time I used an ND16 filter. Will try with the ND32 next. Any tips on how to tackle the sharpness? Increase shutter speed?

    • @brownyonwheels
      @brownyonwheels  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Increasing shutter will loose the motion blur. If you want sharpness you can up in go pro. Also record in 4k may be? What GoPro ?
      Grainy video is likely cause your iso is too high.

    What about if you have multiple split clips? Will this still work without audio drift?

    • @brownyonwheels
      @brownyonwheels  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Best practice is to let the video and audio just record and then clip in editing. If you want to do multiple clips. You will just need to start and stop the recorders. No way around it.
      What I would advice is to make callouts. Like,
      Recording 1 (clap clap clap)
      Recording 2 (clap clap clap) etc.

      You don’t have to. I upgraded because I could and also h2n have different pattern + mic you can choose to record with. Unlike h1n that needs to be placed In a certain direction to pick up the exhaust sound nicely. H2n is bit more versatile.
      But you don’t have to have h2n. H1n will do the job.
