    That's nice to know about the oil ring band ------- that possibly when compressing rings to put piston into cylinder ---- that the band ends may ---- overlap ---- and not release -------- So, what brand ring set did you get that doesn't have that band? ------ Yes --- it could get quite expensive to do ---- ALL ---- that one would like to do to an engine --- sometimes we have to take a break ---- sit back and think ------ what would be a GOOD second choice and still get close to what I want ---- Thank You for the explanations on ---- How to Do ---- steps and why ------ Hope You have a Good Week and will be watching for more on the MGB-GT -- Rodney

      I don’t really know which brand has what, it seems they are not always the same every time you order anyway. I have used numerous sets of County brand pistons over the years, and they could come with either style. The last set of Hastings rings I bought were the wavy ones, I ordered them thinking they wouldn’t be 🤷
