I don’t know why people are complaining about our schedule next year. We can go 10-2 easily. And we just have to prepare better for PSU and Oregon. One step at a time.
And does everyone remember TCU in the championship game getting blown out against Georgia?? How did that happen?? It’s perfectly reasonable to expect the top six teams to be better than the bottom six teams! To expect a team like IU to turnaround in one year and be competitive is rare, and we did it. And I firmly believe Cignetti is committed to building a team every year to be competitive. If we go 10-2 every year, with a win against OSU or Oregon or PSU once in awhile, I’ll be happy with that. Cignetti is building a dynasty and he will.

I listen to a sports announcer today. He thinks Indiana will go six and six next year and Cignetti will be watching the playoffs on his couch.Lol

@@eddiefannin6177 That was the idiot Paul Finebaum. He's a paid SEC cheerleader. In his mind, the playoffs should be 6 SEC teams, and an invitational for the remaining 6 slots.

My response to the people saying IU didn't belong is that none of the four road teams showed they were as good as the home teams. Replacing them with lower ranked teams shouldn't have been better.

Go after those smaller college portal players that have a chip on their shoulder like he did this year. You can not argue with success. You build on it.

Love your show, but "There's nobody trying to take that away from us." Huh? Bro, did you really listen to the ESPN/SEC wails of "they didn't play anybody" and "they aren't worthy" which pretty much started immediately after the Ohio State game a month ago? And the shrieks amped up even further after ND, and continued all day Saturday...then only slightly subsided when the Buckeyes dismantled Tennessee. And the non-stop hate thrown at Cig by Kiffen, Finebaum and all the other SEC loyalists? It was more than "incorrect" as you called it. It was vicious and intentional. It was designed to undermine IU at every turn, and they will continue to do so because the new CFB paradigm democratizes the game and allows emerging programs to crack through the elite walls they have constructed. Programs like IU are a threat to their world order. It's like how a country club would behave if a lowly plumber dared to apply for membership. Sickening. The ESPN/SEC cabal showed the world who they truly are this season. Jacob, thanks for acknowledging that IU belongs, but please call these clowns out for what they are trying to do.

I guess Notre Dame didn’t belong either did they, because Indiana only allowed them 27 points being scored on us. Indiana definitely deserve to be there.!

Funny how none of the “SEC” people are complaining about Ohio St getting in the playoffs. IU beat NO ONE, it has nothing to do with SEC bias. The best teams should get in, period, and you can’t say you’re one of the 12 best teams when your only two games against top 25 teams were blowout losses.

Very disappointed Jackson is leaving, I was in the camp that was happy with him starting, I take his leaving to mean he was told that the plan was to bring in a starter from the portal. I don't blame him for leaving if he wasn't going to be #1 going into the Spring,

Not a fan of Indiana, but they do need to get bigger and meaner at the trenches. Get a QB who can be mobile and decisive. And get explosive play makers on the outside. Indiana I think will be better next year

Rourke was good this year but had poor performances against OSU and ND. A couple better plays from him in the ND game and the result of that game is different I don't care what anybody says. We will have a better team next year with a more mobile QB and one who is just as accurate...hopefully Fernando Mendoza.

If all the whiners want the first round to be more competitive then consider a neutral field.

If IU wants to compete at the elite level they need to significantly improve their nonconference schedule. Beating up on Kennesaw St, and Western Illinois then bragging about your great stats is a waste of time. The only way to learn to beat Georgia, Miami, Oregon, OSU, Texas, etc. is to play them head-to-head in a hostile environment. They were obviously intimidated and scared of the moment against ND.

Definitely need to re-load with better talent can't go cheap every year with MAC and Sun Belt talent and expect to compete against the best. Pony up! Cignetti wanted more money assume he got it, he's a talent evaluator...now go get some studs.

T Jackson was not ever the #1 QB for IU in '25, and Coach Cig has basically been saying that this month. He lacked 'the it' thing which is the vision-decision making thing beyond his great physical talents and apparently was not practicing to Cig's expectations in last Spr, Sum and Fall ball.

This coach and his staff inability to teach talented basketball plyers to play defense and just good basketball is unacceptable. Mike Woodson should have revamped his coaching staff but he did not and that's on him as well as many other things. Dumpsters are open and awaiting.

So talking heads are lamenting these first round margins of victory. Not sure why these media hacks and amateur podcasters (or Lame Kiffin for that matter) are suddenly bringing this up? This has been going on ever since the CFP began. 90% of the semifinal games were absolute blowouts. Notre Dame has already been on the receiving end of that twice prior to this year! OSU got shutout in one of its semifinals.
    This isn’t some new phenomenon.
In fact, the CFP was expanded somewhat due to these type of games. You had other conferences saying that “they could have done just as well” as brand name school A, etc.
