I kind of hate that the anime cut out Namari's explanation of resurrection mechanics to the twins, especially the fact that once the body is missing more than 40% of its mass that resurrections' spell failure chance is increased exponentially. Decreases the tension of this episode's final scene quite a bit.
Yeah, as an anime only (at the time I first watched this) I was a little confused by the tone at the end, like, "this is what they wanted to find, right? Why is the soundtrack acting like they've just found something horrifying?" Would have made that ending hit harder if they'd taken a moment to clarify that a body reduced to a skeleton has Genshin Impact gacha odds of being resurrected.
@@Egavans didn’t they say that you need the body? If the body isn’t whole enough how can they bring her back? I think it worked even without the explanation cuz they also said at some point that resurrection can fail proportional to the state of the body. I think Marcielle mentions this early on when they found that one corpse being digested by the plant.
Oh see as an anime-only I was immediately like "oh she's a skeleton, can't resurrect those", which was helped by the fact that up to that point all examples of resurrection were of bodies that were completely intact apart from mostly single injuries.
They actually keep that in the English dub. It's made perfectly clear there needs to be enough flesh of the body to heal and the soul to reattach itself too.
Honestly this might be the first reaction I've seen where the reactor/s immediately realized that Laios got his leg bit on purpose. So many people seem to think that he was attempting to get swallowed and failed. So it was nice to see you catch it immediately! :D
I didn't notice that either. SOS Bros always notice even the smallest foreshadowing or slight emotional changes in the characters. I really trust their imagination and the knowledge they’ve gained from all the anime they’ve watched.
Memento Mori. Remember death. In retrospect, they were lucky the pot didn't shield them from fire, since they actually _didn't_ want to exhaust the dragon's fuel.
Well. They did say he bought it from an elf.. maybe someone related to the mad mage? I got the sense from the politics talk that the elves know the soul chaining spell too so maybe from someone who’s in the same elf tribe/country? 🤔
That was such a grim ending, especially with the earlier flashback... Even though you can resurrect people, its still going to be traumatizing to fish out parts of your own lil sister
