100% im quite sure i had a train just like that from one of those chinese $2 shops when i was a kid it came with a circle track that was so brittle when you pulled the tape off the track in the blister pack it cracked/snapped, same with as you joined them together. It was black/unpainted with red and gold writing on the side, think it said express on the cab. It ran on two aa's, all theyve done is change the mech and paint a train i got in 1998 for $2 with two carriages a tender and a 1.2m diameter circle of brittle track

From my brief 5 minute research into these guys’ models, it seems they yoink old Bachmann toolings and use them for themselves, the bell and cylinder thing come from Bachmann’s ON30 mogul, hence why it didn’t completely resemble your ten wheeler. Most of their products appear to have a similar quality in using models already on the market in ridiculous liveries for the most part so this review is just about on point.

Fun Fact: my great grandmother on my mom's side bought me a set from Hawthorne Village ages ago. It was a complete consist with a 2-6-0 loco plus tender, two coaches, and it came in a giant wooden box. It is a fun runner, but it was coated in this bizarre wolf theming, with lots of blue and silver therein. From memory Bradford Exchange has been around for many years (may have been called called Bradford (something else) when I used them. This would be 35 odd years ago when their specialty was commemorative plates. I had a Dambusters set which became collectors items. I also seem to remember they did a z gauge loco in a glass bell jar which ran in a circle on a snow scene setting. They used to advertise with full page ads on the back page of Radio Times.

Baldwin 2-6-0 Mogul Class. The "barrel" is the air reservoir tank for the brake system. The bell mounting is okay for this loco. The Westinghouse brake steam pump is missing.
The shapes of the sand dome (behind funnel/stack) and the larger steam dome is prototypical, as is the steam driven electric generator.
It's a curious curiosity. I won't comment on its modeling defects.

To say it's awful is an understatement, and as one observer pointed out about their previous...erm... "attempt" at "Forever England" (with Union Flags, I hasten to add) - "What screams British more than an American style locomotive made in China?"
Edit: I wouldn't buy the rest of the set - the tender is going to be the same as the one on the Bachmann Christmas set - save yourself the heartache (and the costs!)

It's absolutely a product of/commissioned from Bachmann, you can see it in the 'American' sets they produce, the track is either Bachmann E-Z or Walthers Power-loc, the locomotives are the Old tooling Bachmann F units, you can even catch some Bachmann sets in whole, like the N-scale "Super Chief".
Another thing on that 'either or' track situation, they sell EZ track accessories, like the crossing gates, while giving out Power-loc Track, there is an adaptor set for that produced by Walthers, but Bradford doesn't sell it on their site.

I've seen this type of sales strategy for "collectible" trains on a couple websites, and it seems sketchy to say the least. I kind of would like to see you review the tender so we can see the locomotive get its matching tender and also how absurd it gets, but to be honest I don't think anyone could blame you if you don't want to buy the other parts of the set at their price.
