We're still independent and have separate time and friends. I didn't relate to this at all. Must we what goes on in other relationships.

I’m so late to the party on this one, but I recently started dating a woman and she asked on our second date to be her girlfriend. My first drive out to her place? Hella nervous. She lives three hours away (ah, the plight of lesbians!) and we live in Texas. This relationship is now over a month, and already the anxieties regarding it being new are just… non-existent? We’re not peeing with the door open or sleeping together (yet), but we both miss each other madly because our work schedules suck. She’s B shift at a factory 5-6 days a week, and I only have every other weekend off working at a print shop. However, we’re very proactive in planning dates and time to spend together, as well as excitedly talking about the future. We’re definitely not U-HAULing just yet, but the more time we spend together, the more it seems to be heading in a serious direction. All of our friends seem to agree too. We just click. She puts me first. I may not know what the hell I’m doing, but I couldn’t be any happier and excited to see what our relationship will bring out in me. I’ve been out of the closet for four years now - my birthday is October 11, National Coming Out Day! - and I FINALLY feel like I’m really starting to live life for once. I saw your engagement announcement ages ago, and I’m so incredibly happy for you two. I wish you all the best and much love from my little corner of Texas.
