Lyrics:
Foc mi, ní fhaca mé na bastairdí
Carr dubh ina bhfolach ar ár mullach is iad taobh istigh,
Seans ar bith, go bhfaighidh siad mo mhála MD,
Mar tá cóisir ann anocht ‘s níl fáilte roimh an RUC.
Is gan dabht, tá mise ar bís,
Le dul síos ar an snaois arís ‘s arís,
Is ní stopfaidh mé go maidin mar nach socraím síos,
Agus fuair mé mála mór ket in ionad mo chíos.
Níl tú ag focan éisteacht liom níl seo ina focan jóc,
Tá mé ag iarraidh a bheidh ag an chóisir leat ag ithe cúpla yoke,
Ag déanamh cúpla líne bhán don phúdar mín cóc,
Is tiocfaidh deireadh na hoíche ‘s beimid ar fad ag dul don smoke.
Ach má rugtar orainn inniú Is muidinne a bheas thíos leis a bhfháitiú na súl,
Mar tá na muca mór mire sa tóir ar ár meon.
Is beidh lucht maol Maghaberry sa tóir ar mo thóin.
Duirt mé leat cheana, seo an chúis le Balaclava,
Is féidir siúl. Ar shiúl, ‘s ní aithneoidh siad táda.
Tá ‘gear’ is fearr in iarthar Bhéal Feirste againn le fada,
Cóc, speed, e’s agus moll marijuana
Ag teacht isteach go ciúin fríd shléibhte Chonamara.
Ag cóisireacht le Tinky Winky agus Seamus Barra,
Ní stopaim ón gheimhreadh fríd go dtí an tEarrach,
Díolaim snaois le do Mhaimeo, do mhac ‘s do chara,
A íocann as má laethanta saoire ar an Fhál Carrach.
Níl cathair nach bhfuil muid ann faoi lathair,
Corcaigh, Doire agus fiú amháin D4,
Ag scriosadh na háite ar mhaithe le bheith saibhir,
Ansin ag déanamh snaois bhán le réaltaí TG4.
So goitse anois, agus déanfaimid deifir,
Mar tá mise ró-stuama anois faoi lathair,
Agus beidh muid ag dul go maidin le Rónán Mac An Rí,

Is cuma liomsa foc faoi aon gharda,
Duidín lásta, tá mise ró-ghasta,
Ní fheicfidh tú mise i mo sheasamh ró-fhada.
Tógadh Micí Mire agus muid ar an bhealach,
Cé gur thug mé smack ceart don gharda salach,
Bhí orm rith na bhaile agus dul na bhfolach,
Mar bhí 10 kilo cóc taped ar mo bhrollach.
Anois ní sin le rá go raibh mé scanraithe,

Cibí, duine a bhí, mar chuid de do shaol.

As a foreigner living in IReland for 7 years, it always saddened me that nearly none of my Irish friends could speak Irish. I do hope that music bands like these guys, could help revive the language amongst the new and future generations of Irish men and women. WHO WOULD WIN?
- 800 years of cultural oppression
- Na buachaillí seo
Only Dublin was English for 800 years (and it was a Scandinavian town before that). The rest of the country wasn't conquered until about 1607 after the defeat of Hugh O'Neill and allies, and the flight of the Earls.
So more like 320 years of oppression... For most of the country. More for our pre-Good Friday agreement Northern cousins...
Sorry couldn't help shticking the history lesson in there.
Mo freagra - 'Na buachaillí seo.'
@Ahimsa Bräu Sure, but the original beyond the Pale Normans were feudal knights who carved out territory for themselves and their families, not for their King (as they were supposed to). By the end of the 1300s they were more or less completely Gaelicised.
When Henry VII arrived in 1487 only Dublin was considered English and only the Pale considered English territory. Thirty miles west of Dublin was considered "by West of English law".
So my original point does still stand on the grounds of the original posters assertion of 800 years of 'cultural oppression'. There was no significant cultural oppression outside of Dublin until after the defeat of the Earls.
Na buachaillaí seo cead faoin gcead

Fuck me, I didn't see the bastards coming
A black car hidden on the hill and them inside
No chance at all they'll get my bag of MD,
Because I have a party tonight and the RUC aren't welcome.
And without a doubt, I'm excited
Going down on the snuff again and again,
And I won't stop until morning because I don't settle down
And I got a big bag of ket instead of my rent
You're not fucking listening to me, this is a fucking joke
I'm trying to be at the part with you eating a few yokes,
Doing a couple of lines of the fine white powdered coke
And the end of the night will come and we'll all be going for a smoke.
But if we're caught today it's us who'll have out eyes down
Because the big furious pigs are on our tracks
And the dull people of Maghaberry will be on our asses
I told you, that's the reason for the Balaclava
They can walk. Walking they'll change nothing.
I have the best 'gear' in Belfast for a long time,
Coke, speed and marijuana
Coming in from the Connamara mountains.
Partying with Tinky Winky and Seamus Barra,
I won't stop from winter to spring
I sell snuff to your granny, your son and your friends
That pays off my holidays in Falcarragh.
There's no town that we're not in right now,
Cork, Derry, and even D4
Destroying the place to be rich
Then doing white stuff with the stars of TG4
So get going now, and let's hurry,
Because I'm too sober right now,
And we'll be going until morning with Rónán Mac An Rí,
Because fuck the rules at RTÉ

Because I gave the dirty Garda a smack,
I had to run through the town and hide
Because I had 10 kilos of coke taped to my chest.
That's not to say that I was scared
Sure I don't pay my toll on the M50,
And we'll continue on until every tear is finished,
Legal grass in fucking United Ireland

And you are coming to the station so we can talk properly”
