He was actually more than just under the weather. He was running a high fever and felt incredibly ill, but didn’t want to disappoint. He’s sitting down because he was unsteady, but what an incredible performance!
I loved your face reaction while I watched this I love disturbed and that was a great experience because his usual stuff is hard but wow his vocals are amazing
I agree I’m a 60 year old woman that drives a truck. I hate crowds but for the first time in over 25 years I bought tickets to go see them in person. Their music is so powerful and deep. I wish I had listened to them a long time ago. I have until this came out been a fan of classic rock ac/dc etc. now I absolutely love and respect disturbed.
I saw Conan O'Brien interviewed years ago and he told a fascinating story about that evening. He stated that when Draiman had reached the second stanza, he looked around and every single person that was working backstage that night had come out to watch this performance. They could not believe what they were hearing. Conan said that was the only time in the history of his show that something like that had occurred. He himself said the performance was mind-blowing. Peace.......
I have been watching reactions to this vid for 3 years and it's always amazing. I have heard he had been hospitalized just the night before and sat during this because was so ill. On another note. He comes from a long line of Cantors and was professionally trained to retain his vocals but even more...I heard he has 0 tattoos out of respect to his heritage and respect to his grandfather and removes his piercings when he visits. Magnificent instrument he has and mad respect for the man himself for respecting and preserving his heritage!
David Draiman...one of the best male vocalists on the planet imho. He has a tone to his voice I've never heard before. When he sings....you know who it is. He can go from angelic head voice to rasp/distortion on a dime and back....not easy to do. Also did you notice he can put vibrato on the rasp too? VERY difficult to do. Love your take on it Pandora.
You felt the song in your heart and soul, just like I still do. I've watched all the reactions to the live version. I see the look of awe, in everyone's eyes, as they here it for the first time. You're right about being in the moment, feels like making love.
That's an epically magnificent performance! I've always loved that version even better than the official music video! I always get shivers when I listen to it! Great reaction Pandora, keep them coming. I always love watching your reactions!
So wonderful that they choose and write songs with such powerful and relevant messages. I love the humble offering of the song through the outstretched hands at the end.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught the sexual vibes. It starts out slow and smouldering and builds to the climax. It's like his voice has sex with your soul. And no matter how many times I hear him sing it it's always chills and tears. The official video has a more musical base while the live features his voice more. When he holds that final 'sound'.....wow. It's so clear and seems to go directly to your center.
Paul Simon said that his original version of the song (written almost 60 years ago!) was a warning to humanity, and that Disturbed's version reflects the rage that the warning was ignored. He also said that the song now belongs to David. Can there be any higher praise for an artist?
This is how the SONG was supposed to be performed, Simon and Garfunkle created it to and interpreted differently but Disturbed performed it the way it was MEANT to be performed. Two entirely different artists making a masterpiece together. Amazing.50 years apart.Thank you two BOTH of them for this.
Great description! Great Reaction! You really get to the depth of these videos. Thanks In most cases I like the live performance better than the "Official" produced video. An artist like Dimash performs live most of the time.In a song like "Stranger" he takes us out of this world. Rammstein's "DU Hast" live from Paris 2013 is the most like Disturbed on Conan I can think of. The "DU HAST" produced Video was good but Live from Paris improved on that song magnificently.
Well you just got a follow...as long as you keep reacting! Being a Tool Army member is a privilege not a right! I'll let the other soldiers request the songs, but here is a sad fact.... Tool is my bar for music..it is intelligent music and a wild ride every time. I haven't heard a new band in 20 years!
Before David left home and went to university and eventually into metal music, he trained as a Hazzan (Jewish Cantor). He brings a sense of this spirituality to the song.
Most Female Hosted Reaction videos reflect a sensuous experience especially of this version. I watched dozens of them, definitely tantalizing, addicting, and more pure than the other types of soft porn. Not so much with the original S&G version, although it is Epic and Legendary. The original is so impactful, nearly 60 years later, the lyrics and music reverberates thru the body, mind, and soul of its audiences echoing throughout time..
You mentioned ‘lovemaking’…So here goes…A woman will understand this… When I watch others react to this masterpiece cover I find myself somewhat frustrated in the constant pauses…Like when you’re in the act of lovemaking and it’s building beautifully to a climax….then your 5 yo. starts knocking on the bedroom door…Sigh… Loved your reaction! Hands down, the best of the 50 or more that I’ve watched! 🦋Lily🦋
Hello Pandora. He nearly canceled this performance because he was feeling under the weather. Luckily he didn't... Greetings from Yorkshire UK. Take care. John.X
Enormous stage presence and confidence.
Your Description was Perfect! I felt the same way! David is Phenomenal 🔥

Vocal masterpiece
Yes in deed. Love your reaction! ❤️🎼❤️🎼
Wonderfully said. Great reaction. Ty. Hugs. Mark

He certainly hits your emotions. I cry every time I hear it and I've heard it about 1000 times and I'm a 56 year old guy.
I'm older and I do the same thing. If you're having a bad day, play this song.
voice on loan from GOD... it touches your soul... that voice, those eyes, that humility and power...

His voice bypasses your brain, your hind brain, your heart and dives into your soul.

You sounded like you really enjoyed this performance almost orgasmic. He is an amazing singer

I think you had an eargasm.

I can honestly say a great number of people who feel the same way about this song. This live version is more honest than a studio version
It was phenomenal times 10!
I had the same experience! This version just overwhelmed me emotionally and I did not have the same experience with the Studio version.
I’m going to use a description I saw in another reaction video to describe what you just experienced. You just had an Eargasm!
Your expressions say it all amazing
You felt the powerful emotion
Greetings from Arizona, USA.
Great reaction.
Suggest :
The preacher and the Bear - Jerry Reed.
David got our girl battle breathing 😭💜

Pure emotion
Better live!
You are amazing little lady. Never lose that smile .
To round out your experience with this song, the next one you should check out is in concert with Myles Kennedy (live at Houston).
Your reactions are the reasons that people make music.
I have seen comments from members of the audience that said the applause and standing ovation were like 10 minutes long.
You’re awesome hunny 💕🥰💕 keep it up

Ten years after. I'd love to change the world. Please peace ✌️
Glad you experienced this... \m/

I wrote all of those down and will have to look them up! Thank you so much!
I've shed more tears listening to the Conan version of this song than while experiencing the emotionality of 2 divorces.
I prefer the official video but this is a special treat as well. Both are top tier... loved your analogies and thoughts. Keep'em coming!

I haven't heard a new band in 20 years!
If you like Disturbed, listen to "Down With the Sickness." Pretty heavy and quite darker, but still rocks hard !
Linda Ronstadt - La Charreada
Los Tigres del Norte (feat: Zack de la Rocha)- Somos Mas Americanos
The Avett Brothers - Ballad of Love and 😊
Thought this was one of the best versions I have heard
Great!
Looking forward to the next Within Temptation, they're also at their best live;-)
Has anyone coined the term Draigasm yet? About time.
His live version is as good as the Video. There both Great.

This version takes me to church. Religious experience

...and then there is the message.
Hello Pandora
Hi Aran!
After watching your reaction I know you want to react to Don’t Tell Me with Ann Wilson so here is a request. Please
Can you do “gone away” by five finger death punch?
