As I learned from my Indian father I make samosas with potatoes and peas, seasoning them with basic curry spice, cumin, turmeric, ginger, garlic and onions If you are doing the dough yourself you can add whole cumin seeds, it makes it very tasty and it helps you to digest the food. I like to serve them with a greek youghurt and mint sauce.
I think your friend meant “crumbly” instead of “dry” haha, the alfajores and empanadas looked so good!!! Seeing vegan Argentinian food makes me so happy :D
That folding you do to empanadas is called repulgue here in Argentina and let me tell you girl you nailed it. Many people try to get it right and fail horribly and end up using a fork so consider yourself a master of repulgue 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I've been watching your videos for a few years now and I’m truly so happy for your success. It must be such an amazing feeling to have your first book meet up in NY. I don’t know you personally but I’m super super proud of you! Hasch super gemacht Mädle
I would 100% recommend using a flour tortilla for the samosas! Crisps up nicely and still has that nice doughy-ness. But I definitely will try the rice paper next time I make them, because that looks amazing.
When I saw the vegan bounties I immediately thought about syrok (curd cheese bar, творожный сырок). This is a sweet curd cheese covered in chocolate, sometimes with different fillings like jam, poppy seeds, boiled condensed milk or nuts. I loved it so much when I was a kid and I still crave them now. You should definitely try it! (I think there is a youtube video on how to make it with tofu)

Did I, as an Argentinean check your video to see your empanadas dough??? Hahahaha I love your recipes! Thank you for making this magic and being innovative and creative :)
My lazy vegan snack idea: blended oats or oat flour, almond milk, maple syrup, like, one teaspoon, frozen blueberries, so simple and yum! The blueberries cold, taste like cookie Dough bites 😛😋
these recipes as always look soo good.. I'm definitely trying the samosa's.. so simple.. but they look delicious.. Also going to have to try that vanilla matcha..
Okay but listen, do a week eating one meal that’s just one color, yk like, on Monday I’ll have a pink breakfast and Tuesday blue dinner. Anywho this video was awesome!! And the wedding looked so beautiful. Thanks for making it ❤❤
These all look marvellous! All the best for the cookbook meetup, am sure it will go superbly :) as always, this video is super lovely and perfect to watch whilst cosy with a hot beverage. Definitely will need to try these out for revision snacks as study workload increases; good motivation. Thankyou! ❤💙💚
you should try a vegan version of chilean pastel de choclo, its a really good corn dish with ground beef that can be easily replaced with soy meet, mushrooms, seitan or a stir fry of vegetables!!
Another amazing video from the beautiful, gorgeous & talented Mina. Yummy 😋 vegan snacks but I would love 😍 a coconut oil free version of the Vegan bounty. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕Mina.
Argentina!!!!! been watchimg you for such a long time, its great to see you make and enjoy alfajores. Although, alfajores are much more crumbly (dont know if thats how you say it lmao), it need to be dry, but those looked great 😩💞
@@Mina_Rome in your defense there are soooo many kinds of alfajores, the ones you made specifically resemble alfajores de maizena (maizena is a popular corn starch brand, so the texture is very dry and crumbly), but a lot of other kinds (marplatenses or cordobeses, for example) are more similar to what you made :)
@@marinagalindez5547 además de que la amiga es peruana, y si siguió algún consejo de ella seguramente no tengan mucho que ver con los alfajores argentinos xd
For the bounties it might also be nice to just mix coconut shreds with some kind of coconut nut butter, I know there are some good ones by Rapunzel /organic stores in Germany). I think they are often mixed with other nuts but they tastes very much like coconut. And maybe there is even a just coconut-nut butter. Just an idea. :)

Apart from cumin seeds, you can also use omam or ajwain if you plan to use chickpea flour! It helps with digestion, as well as bloating.

Ohh I recently had these vegan mochis by Yui too, they're so good! 🤤🍡 Now I want to try to make them myself too, thanks for sharing!
alfajores and empanadas are classics from Argentina :)
Alfajores son de todo latinoamerica pero el Dulce de leche y el manjar blanco de Peru son diferentes así que saben diferente por la consistencia
from argentinian person that empanada look soooo good!!! 😋❤️
That dulce de leche looks way better than the vegan options of dulce de leche we have here in Argentina

Hi Mina! I dont have an instagram, but id like to come to the meetup!
when we make alfajores, peruvians use maicena, but never regular flour... u made a big mistake
Will note that down for next time thanks 🤠
but in chile our alfajores are made with regular flour so i wouldnt consider that a mistake but rather an interpretation
