Coming from a cosmetologist, it’s is always best to have your hair extra dirty when coloring. The color absorbs through your natural hair oils and has better porosity when it is dirty :) nice job
Thank you for the excellent tutorial video! I didn't have to sit through someone talking for 10 minutes and telling me nothing. I appreciate you showing the steps, love it!!
looks amazing of you❤️ I wanted to try ion red, and was confused as if to use the developer or not, the lady at the store told me I can, unseen other videos and they use the developer, but after seeing this video I will go ahead and dye my hair without the developer,...my hair is already red, all I need is my roots...thank you🥰
It will take on your hair but if you have roots and they are dark it's not gonna show just like it didn't show on her but it looks good With dark roots but if you have light color hair it will take it Either way it's gonna work out because You have red hair already it's just gonna make it look more Fresh and brighter I love ion products
If you are using the semi-permanent, it says don't use the developer AND THEY MEAN IT. I used the intense red and I didn't think I had enough so I added a little developer to stretch it out and my hair turned like a fuschia. It was gorgeous and one of my best colors ever but definitely was NOT true red!
I use 40 volume developer when I do these ion colors on clients with dark hair. I also add Continuum or Olaplex 1 to the dye mixture to protect the hair. 🙂 Your hair came out great!
@Faithfulxoxo sorry for the confusion. Lol I meant when I do ion bright colors I use 40 developer (permanent color). With the semi-permanent I do not use developer. I use the permanent with 40 volume for the level 1 roots and the semi-permanent on the rest of the previously colored hair to make it vibrant again.
How long do I keep it in for? Do I need to use shampoo and conditioner when washing it out or do I just rinse? How long do I rinse for? When do I know when to stop rinsing?
The box will tell you how long to leave it in, every dye is different. I shampoo and condition my hair. Stop rinsing when the conditioner is out your head.
I’m super late to this but do you think this red could layer over a blue/teal without turning purple? I’ve been trying to remove the blue in my hair but it just won’t budge and I’m nervous to go red because I don’t want to risk it turning a different color 😭
Next time, add 2 oz of ion protein filler, it will help the red stick for longer! 🫶🏻 You can even use red protein filler which is a different brand and more creamy! Hair that has been damaged from processing which is my case as well needs a protein filler treatment once a month!

Thank you!!
If you're doing the permanent, would you recommend a lifter or no? Going from gold tips to a purple and blue...
I meant developer...
Yes I recommend a developer because that’s what breaks down your hair to change color. If you don’t it won’t last long.
Thank you for the excellent tutorial video! I didn't have to sit through someone talking for 10 minutes and telling me nothing. I appreciate you showing the steps, love it!!

I love It! Looks very nice on you
Thank you so much!
Looks good! Does it run? My experience with semi permanent colors is it stains everything. My pillows, cloths, or whatever. Thanks! Super cute 💖
Runs when I’m washing it and if I’m sweating really bad.
@@JustbeingAngela oh ok thanks
You have beautiful hair
Aww Thank you love!! ❤️❤️
@@JustbeingAngela You're welcome🙂

Thank you so much! You can alway dye it back if you don’t like it 😊
omg girl you are so funny! love it!
Are u supposed to wash before? And the longer u leave the dye, is it darker the longer u leave it?
Sometimes but also applying heat helps.
No I don’t wash my hair before

If I was you I would try a hair dye remover and see if it comes out that way.
Love it!!!
Thank you!
It's so pretty!!
Thank you!!
Love it 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
So when I used this the color that came out of the tube was not the same color as yours
Was it a different brand?
@@JustbeingAngela same brand!
That’s crazy!!
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you
Nice 👍
Thank you
will this take your hair out if you use it and you have a perm ?
No, as long as it’s been a week since your last perm and you need to make sure you show a little extra care to your hair with chemicals in it.
so beautiful
Thank you so much! ❤️
How did it look after using shampoo, and how long did it last for you? And it looks amazing on you!!
It still looked the same after shampooing but because red bleeds so much it wasn’t as bright after about 5 weeks.
Gorgeous
Thank you!
Did you do it on clean or dirty hair
I usually do it on dirty hair just because It takes a lot to wash my hair and dry it just to put the dye in and wash it again.
Can it dye a wig also ?
if you get a blonde one yes. I don't think it will show up on a black wig.
YOUR SO PRETTY LITTEARLY LOVE YOU
