Kostin had 3 goals and 4 points in 6 games. Makes him 4th in scoring 0.67ppg tied with McDavid for 4 even strength points. And he averaged 7;42 min of ice time a game. Lead the time in 5 on 5 scoring per 60, ahead of Draisaitl. Wasn't JUST game 6. Kid made a impact every shift. Was only on the ice for 1 goal against. Would have loved to see him bumped up early on in the series to take over for yammo.
Kostin is legit depth. He may never get 100 points throughout a regular season, but he's a tough hard playing dude with enough skill to make a difference in every playoff game. When it's no longer about months of consistency, it's about win now or go home, he is delivering

Kings were hammering Yammo at any chance they could get because he's an easy target due to his size. Some might even argue they were trying to seriously injure him. Yammo certainly got his revenge against all those cheap shot hits the Kings threw at him the entire series. Congrats to Yammo and big congrats to the Edmonton Oilers. Long live the Edmonton Oilers Dynasty.

The refs were in favour of LA the majority of the time. There were at least 3 missed calls against the Kings in the 2nd half of the game. Great effort from the bottom 6 to win the series. LA limits McDavid and Draistile in 5 on 5 plays. That was bad luck for Skinner. The bright side is Oilers won the game and he will learn to check his stick often.

Well Oilers in 6 is no surprise to me, but I didn't expect that the worst game they played would be the series winner. After 3 Oiler Broken Sticks, I said "Wow I hate those carbine fiber Sticks", saying they break at the worst times and cost games. Then another Oil broken stick, then the Skinner Incident. Wow Lol. What Garbage. Amazing Game! But I think Oilers were very fortunate to have won it. Kostin was just huge, as were the usual suspects, but badly outshot with the ice tilted in your direction for large sections of the game doesn't often work out well. Good news is we all know they can play a far better game then that. And they will need to for Vegas, or whoever is next. Fantastic Entertainment for sure! 🚮
I personally think Vegas will be an easier matchup than the Kings. Vegas likes to do a lot more running and gunning and score lots of goals, which works in Edmonton's favour because they will score more goals
I thought Bouch had a good game. He was doing things that people usually complain he doesn’t do. Closing on guys, hitting, taking hits, staying focused, etc.
The obvious superiority at 5v5 and the 21 - 16 powerplay differential (Kings PP's vs. Oilers PP's) shows that the Oilers had to beat both the Kings and the refs. This series wasn't as close as it would seem, or at least it shouldn't have been.
I really like you guys, and I like when you have Kurt Leavins on but PLEASE don't have a series preview with the 3 of you. You had one 2 years ago and the Oilers were swept by Winnipeg. Then you had one last year and they were swept by Colorado. Don't do it. Have Leavins on mid series if you bring him on.

This was just the crucible series the Oilers needed to really mesh together. The Kings played a great game.
