oh man.. i loved this video so much! ME1 is a sci-fi classic and each installment of the trilogy brings something amazing and special to the table thanks to what it sets up. Honestly, just w the way you talked about it in the worldbuilding segment, i have a feeling you're gonna LOVE this series. p.s. Renegade Shepard forever
I played Paragon! I'll have to try renegade and some time and see what changes hahahah, but I'm definitely impressed. Usually things can go half-explained in Sci-Fi, or left ambiguous because 'it's a new thing you just discovered!' but it was nice seeing how much was expounded. Excited to get into ME2, but a few games I wanna cross off before I get back into it. Always appreciate da kind words :)
Hahah, it’s definitely got some jank to it, getting used to the ‘responsiveness’ of the cover mechanic was probably my biggest wall. I’d recommend trying again if you care to, but play as Infiltrator (sniper class) and just hang back and instruct your party from distance to alleviate the need for movement. I also dunno if you’re on controller or M&K, so might possibly be an issue within itself I will say tho, I find the appeal far more present in the storytelling side of this game. Really hoping ME2 cleaned up those gripes I had
Great video bro! Nailed exactly why I love the series and why I recommend it to my friends who’ve never played them. Never will forget my first play through. In May of 2018, the year I would graduate high school, an old movie and game store I’d go to was going out of business, and were having a sale on everything. Went in a few days before they closed and the game section was wiped out, and one of the only games left was mass effect 2, which I got for under $5 I believe at the time. Went home, and a few days later thought it would be best to start from the first game, so went to my local GameStop to buy it. Cant forget my first play of mass effect 1. Remember getting to the main menu, and waiting at the menu just to listen to the music. I’ve never stopped just to listen to menu music of a game before. Even though me1 was old by 2018 standards, and played kinda janky until I got use to it, I still loved it. Found myself being blown away walking around the citadel for the first time, and the planets as well. Fell in love with the story, characters, setting, locations, MUSIC, and lore of the mass effect universe as my play time progressed. By the time I finished all 3 games, mass effect 1-3 became one of my favorite game series’s of all time. The games are just so enthralling, and you can tell it was made with love, even though 2/3 were rushed. Can only imagine how much better 2/3 would be if EA didn’t rush the development. Kinda funny how I owe my love of the series to a old movie/game store going out of business
What a massive effect mass effect had on you. You're damn right about the music, it's incredible. I remember booting up Legendary Edition and getting really angry cause the EA Launcher is so, so, so crappy. But, the moment I heard the music I calmed down. Normally, I don't like games like this, and even through the initial jank to the combat it all those preconceptions sort of subsided. The mystery was so good. Ended up really enjoying the characters for the reasons in the video. It just always baffles me how some games create a world, but don't want to make up some cool lore? some cool new 'rules'? and Mass Effect just tackled it all with confidence. I'm really excited for ME2, just waiting for the right time to kick off. Appreciate the story, friend. The map theme is also hard as hell.
Fantastic video! Mass Effect will always hold a special place for me. Knew nothing about it, found in a bargain bin used while going through a tough time, and they drew me in like nothing has before or since
It really blew me away. Came into this completely blind, and still haven't jumped into 2 or 3 yet, but sheesh. Virmire! What a turning point, every hinted plot point coalescing then immediately expanding when you meet Vigil! Can't wait to see the rest.

I wanted to love this game, but i found some of the mechanics so janky. Ive played some hard games before but I just got so frustrated with this.
