Constructing a raised floor for our awning for the season.

- Mark lays a floor in our Dorema awning from pallets and hardboard. This now provides comfort underfoot and creates more warmth by raising the floor off the wet gravel. We use a standard groundsheet on top of the pallets and hardboard followed by a luxury awning carpet. Its really cosy now...and expands the space we have outside for the many friends and family who will be paying us a visit over the summer.

I'm so relieved Mark's enjoyed a pint or three after all his hard work.
That scrumpy cider is well deserved mate...be careful it's a bit strong!! ... lovely to see you two love birds having a good time...

Hi guys good video will help to keep awning warmer and less damp only thing I will stay is after a few beers with other wardens don't forget to step down when coming out of awning other wise u might lend up flat on the ground and a bit muddy good luck guys .kev

Oh lucky you...you cant beat this lifestyle....only 37 weeks till we are back on tour heading for Spain but lots of work to do before then ... have fun and enjoy every moment x

hey guys love the video can you tell me what size awning you have there and how many pallets did you use?
Our big awning shown in this vlog is a dorema dakota size 17. With a tall annexe attached. We used 16 standard pallets but didn't put pallets in annexe... Hope that helps... Regards Mark.
Just be aware, that doing this the same as folks doing decking, after a while, this can become a home for rats who like to live under deckings and pallets.. Do check this out...

A job well done and it didn't cost you anything. I've picked up a few tips myself since me and my other half got into the caravannng. There's some good channels out there. Unfortunately, I don't have a caravan video coming up just yet.
I know its always better when its free...you pick a lot up from TH-cam its fab its just real people real lives real experiences...well go for it get a camera make a channel and share it with us x
