- People always ask us How do we set our awning up on our Seasonal Pitch? We set our caravan up on our seasonal pitch we wanted something that would provide us with additional living space even in the winter and cooler months. An awning is a brilliant way to do this by doubling the space compared the the caravan alone. Our awning is a Camptech Atlantis DL and is an all weather awning. We have some of the essential awning mod cons. The caravan and the caravan awning have both been subject to some pretty extreme weather conditions recently and the great news is they are both standing!

Caravan skirts and wheel covers are available from most places and would make it a lot warmer 👍
Are they universal or need specific ones for me van?
Sitting in my sited van watching this in the depths of Wales,awning set up looks good but I’ve got some good tips for all year round awning setup

@@OnlyVans marquee J pegs minimum 30cm I use 45cm pegs on corners. Plastic pallet floor covered with ply wood, foam tiles and a Kampa carpet. Extra roof poles and legs incase of snow collapsing the awning.
Nice setup in the awning.... there's a product called "awning wheel arch draught stoppa" it looks a bit flimsy but if you are a bit handy you could make something similar out of thick ply wood and some aluminum awning rail .🤔🇳🇿

Great update, looking forward to seeing how you get on. Defo get yourself a wheel arch cover, you can get them from amazon or any caravan accessories shop. They attach to the skirt and fix to the side of the van with limpets. Should help.
How would it attach mate?
It uses suction pads which stick to the van above the wheel arch, there's no damage to the van this way. I have seen people use permanent stick on ones but probably worth trying before committing to that. The cover then hangs down over the whole wheel and arch and a plastic connector tube, a bit like your awning rail fits the cover to the skirt. Won't stop draughts completely but will definitely have a noticeable difference. You can also get them with pockets in for additional storage.
I like the sound of the one with pockets on for extra storage!!

We have spent loads of time planning our awning,
In the spring, summer and autumn will be used that much that it’s really important to get it right x

To cover the wheels there are several options to get a really neat draft proof finish. Look at ‘Awning wheel arch draft stopper ‘ its white and fits snug. Find The caravan Nut on TH-cam he did a video on them.
Watch the clothes on the rail, will get very faded in summer.
