Common problem for all. But swap it out and keep going . With fresh fluid. Keep the fluids changed on time so it won’t happen again or prevent solenoid shift failure or broken pump (Wine noise )
Idk how different this cars engine was to a 1.5 but the key differences so far that Ive noticed while referencing this video was that instead of a 21 mm for the crankshaft, I had to use a 19mm. The starter was not an easy task at all. Theres too many wires and hoses blocking it from coming up top that the best way is to go from the bottom, by removing the oil cooler and the bracket holding those hoses under the transmission. Also didnt have to remove the rotor, brakes or any of that to remove the axles. The space in the starter to access the torque converter nuts was too tight and inaccessible so the best way to get it is if you remove the oil pan also the easiest. Havent gotten to the part on dropping the subframe but will update on what I find.
Upon re installing transmission when aligning the transmission with the engine the torque converter bolts that align up to the fly wheel somehow hit the engine block I don’t understand how and thus prevents the engine from turning over but when I align the torque converter by itself to the flywheel it spins freely.
11:42 That's a sway bar link....Great video, and a reminder to drain and fill with fresh LV transmission fluid every 20K miles. The reason being that you'll only get 4 to 4 1/2 quarts drained out of the 9 quarts of total capacity, keeping it fresh. Another reason is that the 6F35 has an internal filter that requires this removal job and splitting of the case to replace.
🙋🏾♂️🙋🏾♂️🙋🏾♂️. Question! After pulling the 6F35 transmission an replace it with another 6F35 transmission do i need to program transmission to pcm or vice verser????
I took the 2 bolts out the front sub frame. I loosened the bolts in the back of the subframe and it came down a lot. Trying to put this thing back in is hell. Part of the transmission keep hitting the subframe. It has to go back in at a angle I'm working off a jackstands.
Hey I’m putting a new 6f35 in my fusion, just not sure about the programming the trans to the car afterwards. Manual doesn’t say anything about reprogramming but Ford says it needs to be done. What do u think?

@@JuanGarcia-gj5fz I ended up being able to do it. Realigning the subframe was a bitch though. If I pulled off the front bumper I could’ve gotten the transmission out entirely
@@SalvageBoyz it doesn’t. I removed the subframe entirely while the car was on jack stands using 2 jacks at the same time to lower it then move it away from the car. @@SalvageBoyz Removing the bumper and driver’s side wheel well liner should do the trick to get it out from that wheel well. When the car is up in the air it’s easier to drop the subframe just from the front because you have all that maneuverability with a tall transmission jack. On the ground with jack stands is a whole different beast. Youre a monster 👌😈
Did you have to flash you computer after installing the new transmission?
No, I did not flash the computer.
How long did you take off the transmission?
3 hours to take out transmission. Would've been quicker if I hadn't filmed
Ok thanks
